NRA Slams Trump’s Response to Orlando Shooting – It “Defies Commonsense”

After patting himself on the back following the Orlando massacre, Donald Trump went on to suggest the usual Republican response when there’s a mass shooting in America – that more club-goers needed more guns. Asked about that statement on Sunday, Chris Cox, the executive director of the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action, said Trump’s answer “defies commonsense.”

“We have a serious problem in this country, a catastrophic situation,” Cox said. “It has nothing to do with firearms. It has nothing to do with the Second Amendment or even gun control and it has everything to do with radical Islamic terrorists.”

Cox was asked about presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump‘s comments that the outcome in Orlando would have been better had more people in the club been armed.

Cox said the Pulse nightclub’s gun-free-zone policy didn’t prevent Omar Mateen from “mowing down innocent people.”

Cox, however, said he does not want people drinking a nightclub armed to the teeth.

“What Donald Trump has said is what the American people know is commonsense, that if somebody had been there to stop this faster, fewer people would have died. That’s not controversial, that’s commonsense,” he said.

“No one thinks that people should go into a nightclub drinking and carrying firearms. That defies commonsense. It also defies the law. It’s not what we’re talking about here,” he added.

Republican Mayor Leaves Republican Party Thanks to Donald Trump

“A whole lot of things make me uncomfortable about partisan politics,” Charleston Mayor Danny Jones said. Jones, a registered Republican since 1971, has stuck with the party in bad times and in bad times – and there have been a lot of bad times. But after Donald Trump became the party’s nominee for president, and with the state of politics in Charleston West Virginia, Mayor Danny Jones decided he’s had enough!

“I do not want to be identified with the political partisanship that is shaping so much of the debates nationally and in West Virginia,” Jones said. “I plan to complete my current term, and have no plans to run for any office ever again. I am not trying to pick a fight with anyone and, in fact, I am proud about how we’ve made so much progress in Charleston, where partisan politics has been non-existent in the 13-plus years I’ve been mayor.”

Jones announced Friday that he has switched his party registration to “unaffiliated.”

He pointed to multiple factors, specifically the social conservative bent of the West Virginia House of Delegates and the rise of Donald Trump as the party’s presidential nominee.

“For the first time in my life, I cannot support the Republican nominee for president,” Jones said, although he described himself as “not a Trump hater.”

White Boys Almost Decapitated Black Girl – School Called it an “Accident”

An obvious racially motivated incident at a school in Waco Texas is being brushed off as “an accident” and “play” by a school. The photo above shows the result of one of the many “accidents” a 12-year-old black school girl suffered at the hands of a group of white school boys. Looking at the photo, one can say she was almost decapitated but according to the school there’s no need to worry, “accidents” happen.

The family is suing the school for what they claim is failure to ensure the safety of their child.

The family is seeking $3 million in damages from Live Oak Classical School for what they claim are repeated instances of the school failing to protect their daughter from violent and aggressive students.

The family has brought forward more than one instance of bullying from a group of white male students, but the school has defended the boys’ actions, saying that rather than being malicious, the boys simply involved the girl in “accidents” and “play.”

The most recent “accident” allegedly occurred in April on a school field trip when a group of boys wrapped a rope swing around the girl’s neck. The evidence of injury to the girl is clear in photos but the school is currently arguing the intent of the boys.

The girl’s parents were not notified when the incident occurred and when her parents saw her injuries, she was taken to the hospital where doctors notified police.

The school claims that it investigated the incident fully, talking with other students and faculty members before determining that “the injuries suffered by the student were the result of an accident.”

The family’s attorney has said that they believe the incident to have been “racially motivated” due to the “severity and specificity” of the injury the girl sustained.

Paul Ryan – “l Would Sue” Donald Trump If I Have To

The most powerful Republican in Congress has drawn a line in the sand against the leader of the Republican party – if Donald Trump tries to carry out any of his more insane policies, Paul Ryan has said he “would sue!”

Ryan said he wasn’t sure of the “legal question” of whether Trump could institute a Muslim ban on his own as president.

“That’s a legal question that there’s a good debate about,” he said, citing the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act.

“On the broader question, are we going to exert our Article I powers and reclaim this Article I power no matter who the president is? Absolutely,” Ryan said. He also said he discussed the limits of the executive power with Trump.

Prominent Democrat Wonders if Trump and Clinton Planned the Republican Party Demise

We’ve all heard the conspiracy theory that Donald Trump is a secret Hillary Clinton supporter, a Democratic mole planted within the Republican Party with the sole purpose of causing havoc thus, ensuring a Hillary Clinton win in November. That theory is often mentioned in the conservative blogosphere. But when a prominent Democrat pushes that theory,, then maybe, just maybe it’s time to pay attention.

In an interview with The National Review, Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) talks about rumors she’s heard about Trump being a secret Clinton plant — and she can’t dismiss the idea entirely.

“There are some theories on the internet that this is Bill Clinton’s best political deal,” says Kaptur, who supported Hillary Clinton’s rival Bernie Sanders in this year’s Democratic primary. “That he and Donald are buddies, and they have a lot of similar friends in New York, and he has masterfully selected a friend who maybe by October will say, ‘You know, this is very boring. And I’m going to get out.’ Do I believe it 100 percent, do I believe it 2 percent? You know, you really wonder.”

While it’s unlikely that Trump is in cahoots with Bill Clinton to ensure a Hillary Clinton victory this fall, it is true that Trump has acted exactly as you’d expect a pro-Clinton plant to act. After all, he’s sewn division and chaos within the Republican Party and has also helped drive the GOP’s favorable ratings to their lowest ever.

Poll – Donald Trump is Tanking the Republican Party

He is like an anvil around the party’s neck!

Just 32 percent of Americans view the Republican Party favorably as it prepares to formally nominate Donald Trump for president, the latest Bloomberg Politics national poll shows, the lowest level recorded since the poll’s inception in September 2009.

The Democratic Party, by contrast, is seen favorably by 49 percent. Congress is viewed favorably by just 24 percent, the lowest since March 2010 and a response that found near bipartisan agreement in the poll.

Those views will not only shape the presidential race between Trump and Hillary Clinton, they could spill over into down-ballot contests that that will determine control of Congress and governorships after November.

“This is obviously related to perceptions of Trump,” said pollster J. Ann Selzer, who oversaw the survey. “This bleeds out into perceptions of the party and to other GOP politicians.”

McCain Blames Obama for Orlando Shooting – Why I Blame McCain Instead

John McCain, one of the architect of the failed Iraq war that forced America more than a trillion dollars deeper in debt and caused the lives of thousands of American troops, today blamed Obama for the most recent mass shooting in Orlando. According to McCain’s twisted thinking, ISIS would not be around today if Obama had allowed the Iraq war, the longest war in America’s history, to continue indefinitely.

While answering a question from a reporter about the usual gun-control debate that sprouts up after every mass shooting, McCain inexplicably found a way to blame Obama for Orlando!

“Barack Obama is directly responsible for it,” McCain said. “Because when he pulled everybody out of Iraq, al-Qaeda went to Syria, became ISIS, and ISIS is what it is today thanks to Barack Obama’s failures.”

When pressed by a reporter on the claim that Obama was “directly” responsible, McCain reiterated his point — that Obama should not have withdrawn combat troops from Iraq: “He pulled everybody out of Iraq, and I predicted at the time that ISIS would go unchecked, and there would be attacks on the United States of America,” he said. “It’s a matter of record, so he is directly responsible.”

Noticed the masterful way McCain avoided any acknowledgement to the actual war in Iraq, a war he co-sponsored and a war that had absolutely nothing to do with the September 11th attacks on America. You would think if anyone is to be blamed for ISIS or by extension, the Orlando shooting, it would be the people who decided to invade Iraq and remove its leader, actions that threw Iraq into chaos and created the vacuum ISIS and other terrorist groups have thrived on. But McCain apparently bears no responsibility, according to him it’s all Obama’s fault.

One should note that Obama voted against the war in Iraq. If McCain and others had followed Obama’s lead, there would have been no Iraq war, no vacuum for ISIS to fill and by extension, no reason for a crazed maniac to open fire in Orlando killing 49 people while pledging his allegiance to ISIS.

Report: Orlando Shooter and Wife Texted Each Other During Massacre

In the beginning, Noor Salman, wife of the Orlando shooter, insisted that she had no idea what her husband was up to when he gunned down 49 people at a Pulse night club. Now, reports say the two were communicating via text during the terrorist attack.
The Orlando shooter and his wife exchanged text messages during the Pulse nightclub rampage, a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation told CNN. Around 4 a.m., about two hours after he started the attack and while holed up in a bathroom, Omar Mateen texted his wife, Noor Salman, asking if she’d seen the news, the official said.
At one point, she responded with a text saying that she loved him. Salman also tried calling her husband several times during the standoff, a second law enforcement official said. The timing of her calls came after reports of the attack had emerged, and apparently after she realized her husband might be responsible. He didn’t answer, the official said.

Poll – A Majority of Sensible Americans View Trump Unfavorably

By ‘majority’ I mean around 70 percent. By ‘sensible’ I mean anyone who is not a member of the Republican party.

Seven in 10 Americans see Donald Trump unfavorably in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, up 10 points in just the past month to a new high since he announced his candidacy for president. But Hillary Clinton reached a new high for unfavorability as well, 55 percent.

The results mark the striking challenges facing both candidates, cementing their position as the two most unpopular presumptive major party nominees for president in ABC News/Washington Post polling dating to 1984.

Trump’s result reverses a boost he received after securing the Republican presidential nomination, from 37-60 percent favorable-unfavorable in mid-May to 29-70 percent now, after a week in which he took sharp criticism for suggesting that he was being treated unfairly by a federal judge because of the judge’s Mexican heritage.

Trump’s unfavorable score is a point from his highest on record, 71 percent in late May last year, just before he formally entered the presidential race June 16. His decline in favorability in the past month was broadly based across groups.

Watch – President Obama Slams Donald Trump’s Unconstitutional Muslim Ban – Video

There are some who say what President Obama did today was unprecedented. But when Donald Trump – the leader of the Republican party and Republican presidential candidate – continually misleads his followers with unconstitutional talk of religious tests for Muslims entering the United States, then the sitting president had no choice but to stand up and smack down Trump’s ignorance.

Errand Boy Chris Christie Now Fetching McDonalds for Trump’s Campaign

AP Photo/Andrew Harnik

And fittingly so. Chris Christie is a disgrace to the Republican party… and that’s saying a lot considering that the very meaning of the word ‘disgraceful’ references the Republican Party as an example.

“[Christie] has transformed himself into a sort of manservant, who is constantly with Trump at events,” Ryan Lizza wrote in the magazine’s June 20 issue. Lizza also said one anonymous Republican source told him a friend on Trump’s campaign “used Snapchat to send him a video of Christie fetching Trump’s McDonald’s order.”

The piece, which traces Republicans coming to terms with Trump as the presumptive nominee, is the latest humiliation for Christie since he became a prominent surrogate for the businessman’s campaign.

After appearing on camera with a panicked, deer-in-the-headlights look in his eyes for much of a Super Tuesday press conference with Trump in March, Christie was forced to hold a presser of his own to clarify, “No, I wasn’t being held hostage.”

Man Said Orlando Shooter Wanted a Romantic Relationship with Him

The man who killed 50 people at an Orlando gay club over the weekend once “saw two men kissing” and that pissed him off, so said his father. So we were led to believe that Omar Mateen hated the LGBT community so much that he loaded up his NRA approved semi-automatic, loaded up a hand-gun and went to the club. He then proceeded to commit the biggest mass murder in America’s history.

But maybe we were led astray. Maybe what led Mateen to commit such a heinous  crime was not the homophobic attitude his father described,  but rather his apparent closeted sexuality and being rejected by some in the LGBT community.

A man who was in the same 2006 police academy class told the Palm Beach Post that Mateen once asked him out romantically, and said they had spent time together at gay nightclubs after classes at the Indian River Community College police academy.

Officials say Mateen shot and killed 49 people and injured 53 others at Pulse, a gay nightclub early Sunday morning.

“We went to a few gay bars with him, and I was not out at the time, so I declined his offer,” said the former classmate said, who asked that  his name not be used.

The man told the Palm Beach Post that he believed Mateen was gay, but not open about it.

“He just wanted to fit in and no one liked him,” he said. “He was always socially awkward.”

Earlier Monday, it was revealed that Mateen was a frequent visitor to the establishment, according to one regular visitor.

“Sometimes he would go over in the corner and sit and drink by himself, and other times he would get so drunk he was loud and belligerent,” Ty Smith said of the gunman Omar Mateen, 29, according to The Orlando Sentinel.
