How exactly can you “Make America Great Again” when you build your products in other countries?
“Trump has a unique way of showing his love for America,” the ad says.
The ad shows a recent campaign speech during which Trump calls for Americans to “have more pride buying made in the USA,” and then pivots to news clips of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee defending his decision to manufacture products overseas.
The DNC railed against Trump’s “made-anywhere-BUT-the-USA business practices.”
“A lie from Donald Trump? Shocking,” the ad says.
“Trump’s dangerous and divisive campaign is as un-American as the products he manufactures anywhere but the USA,” added DNC spokesperson Luis Miranda. “His deceptive campaign against the very business practices he uses is exactly why the American people should reject him in November, and a reminder he lacks the temperament to serve in our nation’s highest office.”
A Loras College poll released Thursday had the Iowa lawmaker in a statistical dead heat against Patty Judge, his Democratic challenger. Grassley led by only one point, 46-45, against the former lieutenant governor. That nominal advantage was well within the poll’s four-point margin or error.
Public Policy Polling, a left-leaning firm, released a survey earlier last week showing Grassley with a 7-point lead. But even that margin hardly suggests safety for the incumbent.
“When I see a poll like the Loras poll or the [Public Polling Policy] poll, if I’m Grassley that makes me nervous. …That’s trouble,” said David Peterson, a political science professor at Iowa State University and editor of the academic journal Political Behavior. “I think he’s clearly more vulnerable than he’s been in past elections.”
Democrats and outside groups pounced on the polling.
Judge’s campaign blasted out the Loras College poll, noting Grassley “is consistently polling in the 40s for the first time since his election to the Senate in the 1980s.”
“We’re obviously excited about that poll,” Sam Roecker, Judge’s campaign manager, told The Hill. “This is unprecedented for Chuck Grassley.”
A commenter on the forum said it right – Cops are out here shooting and killing our kids, and here is a mother doing the right thing, trying to raise her kids, trying to teach them not to steal, and she gets arrested?
A 30-year-old mother from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was arrested on Monday after allegedly whipping three of her kids as punishment for breaking into a neighbor’s residence, according to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The mother, Schaquana Spears, was booked into jail this past Monday evening on a charge of cruelty to juveniles, according to a probable cause affidavit from the sheriff’s office obtained by ABC News today.
According to the affidavit, Spears admitted to whipping her 13-year-old, 12-year-old and 10-year-old son after they allegedly “burglarized a residence down the street” last Friday.
East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore told ABC News in a statement today that he would be reviewing all the material in the case before making a decision on whether to formally file criminal charges.
“Parents have the right and obligation to discipline and teach their children,” Moore said. “We often time see children who have no parental authority or discipline which eventually results in delinquency and criminal acts. We need more parents who discipline their children. Surely you would expect a parent to discipline a child who is burglarizing other people’s homes as this could be a deadly encounter for the child.”
The 13-year-old and 10-year-old told detectives they were whipped with an RCA cord, and the 12-year-old said he was whipped with a belt, the affidavit said. The 13-year-old admitted to breaking into someone’s residence, according to the affidavit.
Detectives found that the eldest son “had lacerations to both his arms and linear marks on his leg, shoulder, back and stomach,” the affidavit said. The 12-year-old had “lacerations to his left arm that did break his skin,” and the 10-year-old had “a small scratch on his hand.”
Spears told ABC affiliate WBRZ she felt like authorities had made her look like a “bad guy for trying to discipline my kids and showing them right from wrong.”
“It’s been hell,” Spears said. “I never could imagine that trying to be a good mother would end me up in jail with a criminal record like I’m a predator out to hurt my kids who I live for.”
According to online inmate booking records from East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, Spears has since been released.
Bernie Sanders, one of the Democratic candidate for president, answered the ultimate question today on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. Asked whether he will vote for Clinton in November, Saunders responded “Yes.”
The Vermont senator, who has not yet formally ended his 2016 campaign, said that stopping Donald Trump from becoming president must be an overarching goal.
“I think the issue right here is I’m gonna do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump,” he said.
But Sanders also dismissed the idea that he should withdraw from the Democratic race now that Clinton has secured the nomination.
“Why would I want to do that when I want to fight to make sure that we have the best platform that we possibly can, that we win the most delegates that we can?” he said.
And in a later interview on CBS, Sanders declined to formally endorse Clinton, although he indicated that he “hopes” to before the convention.
“I haven’t heard her say the things that need to be said,” he said.
An amazing pic of a woman in Novosibirsk Russia, although some of her neighbors find her actions offensive, that they started a petition to have the woman stopped, but that petition ultimately failed.
Everyday, weather permitting, the woman can be seen sunbathing from her second floor window by hanging her legs and butt outside her window. Her hours of operation are usually between 10am and 1pm and according to some, her legs and butt are not the only body parts the woman hangs out the window.
It was expected. Well within the realm of possibilities for this particular candidate and this particular campaign to have Michele Bachmann as an evangelical advisor. Yes, Michele Bachmann. I expect nothing less… I don’t think there’s anything or anyone less…
Per NBC News’ Ali Vitali, Trump unveiled the members of this board on Tuesday and former Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was right at the top of the list:
Donald Trump’s campaign sent out a release informing the media of a new website aimed at highlighting all of Hillary Clinton’s lies. I wanted to know, so I visited the site. There’s nothing there.
The website, lyingcrookedhillary.com, will “showcase some of Clinton’s most disastrous lies to the American people,” according to a release from the Trump campaign.
The website will be rolled out in the coming days over social media and emails to the candidate’s supporters.
“As we proceed forward with the general election, it is more important than ever for America to realize how dishonest Crooked Hillary really is,” the Trump campaign said in a news release.
“We can’t trust her now and we can’t allow her to take her dishonesty to the White House.”
If only the main stream media was able grow a pair and stopped fawning like teenage girls over Donald Trump, then maybe the Republican electorate would have a real choice in this election instead of being led by an egotistical nut with small hands.
A Jewish news organization announced Monday it will implement a 24-hour ban on publishing any content regarding presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
“The attack on journalists, and journalism, that we are witnessing today is of a more significant and far more dangerous order of magnitude than anything I’ve seen over decades in this business,” The Forward’s editor-in-chief, Jane Eisner, wrote in a piece published Monday.
While Eisner wrote that it is usually better for journalists to “grow a thick skin” and ignore attacks, she said Trump demanded a bolder response.
Eisner said many journalists are experiencing anti-Semitism coming from the “alt-right,” which she defines as “shadowy white supremacists who mainly hide behind the anonymity of Twitter to traffic in horrible Holocaust imagery and directly threaten Jews.”
“Many of these threats draw on connections with Trump’s presidential campaign, using Trump’s image and targeting his critics, including several of our regular writers,” the piece said.
“Even if you don’t believe that the presumed Republican standard bearer has stoked this cyber-hate (which is a generous assumption), you have to admit that he appears to have done nothing to minimize or condemn it.”
In response, the news organization decided to implement a “Trumpatorium,” in which it will refrain from publishing anything that mentions Trump’s name or his campaign for 24 hours beginning 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
They still can’t figure out a way to do their job, even after 49 people were gunned down in Orlando in what is now the biggest mass shooting incident on America’s soil.
The Senate has rejected the first of four gun control measures it is set to consider on Monday, just over a week after 49 people were killed in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
The Senate voted 53-47 on a measure backed by Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) that would reauthorize funding for the National Criminal Instant Background Check System (NICS) and provide incentives for states to give mental health records to the federal system.
Sixty votes were needed to advance the bill under the Senate’s procedural rules.
The Senate will now vote on a Democratic bill that would require a background check for most gun sales or transfers. It is also expected to fail.
Most Republicans backed the Grassley measure, while most Democrats opposed it.
Two more votes are also expected on legislation aimed at preventing suspected terrorists from being able to buy guns. Both of those measures will also require 60 votes to advance, and are both expected to fail.
All of the proposals are being offered as amendments to the Commerce, Justice and Science appropriations bill.
The coward who went into an Orlando nightclub and murdered 49 people called 911 during the encounter. The transcript and timeline is below:
Orlando Police Dispatcher (OD): Emergency 911, this is being recorded.
Shooter (OM): In the name of God the Merciful, the beneficial [in Arabic]
OD: What?
OM: Praise be to God, and prayers as well as peace be upon the prophet of God [in Arabic]. I let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.
OD: What’s your name?
OM: My name is I pledge of allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi of the Islamic State..
OD: Ok, What’s your name?
OM: I pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi may God protect him [Arabic], on behalf of the Islamic State.
OD: Alright, where are you at?
OM: In Orlando.
OD: Where in Orlando?
[End of call.]
Shortly after, the shooter engaged in three conversations with the Orlando Police Department’s Crisis Negotiation Team.
2:48 a.m.: First crisis negotiation call occurred lasting approximately nine minutes.
3:03 a.m.: Second crisis negotiation call occurred lasting approximately 16 minutes.
3:24 a.m.: Third crisis negotiation call occurred lasting approximately three minutes.
Here’s a description of what he said:
In these calls, the shooter, who identified himself as an Islamic soldier, told the crisis negotiator that he was the person who pledged his allegiance to [omitted], and told the negotiator to tell America to stop bombing Syria and Iraq and that is why he was “out here right now.” When the crisis negotiator asked the shooter what he had done, the shooter stated, “No, you already know what I did.” The shooter continued, stating, “There is some vehicle outside that has some bombs, just to let you know. You people are gonna get it, and I’m gonna ignite it if they try to do anything stupid.” Later in the call with the crisis negotiator, the shooter stated that he had a vest, and further described it as the kind they “used in France.” The shooter later stated, “In the next few days, you’re going to see more of this type of action going on.” The shooter hung up and multiple attempts to get in touch with him were unsuccessful.
We are surrounded by idiots. One one side of the political spectrum, they are best known for supporting Donald Trump and his ignorant B.S and idiotic proposals, but on the other side there are those wanting to kill the man because of his ignorant B.S and his idiotic proposals.
A man arrested at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas told authorities he tried to grab an officer’s gun so he could kill the billionaire Republican presidential candidate.
Anti-Trump protester Michael Steven Sandford even went to a gun range on Friday so he could learn how to shoot.
He was arrested at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino on Saturday after saying he wanted to get an autograph from a metro police officer – but instead going for his gun.
A complaint filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Nevada charges Sandford with an act of violence on restricted grounds.
It cites a report by Special Agent Swierkowski, whose first name was not included, saying Sandford told officers he drove from California to kill Trump and went to a Las Vegas gun range the day before to learn to shoot.
Sandford later went to a Trump rally at Treasure Island and approached a Las Vegas police officer to say he wanted an autograph from Trump.
The report says Sandford was arrested after grabbing the handle of an officer’s gun in an attempt to remove it.
Apparently, we are living in the end times, for if Donald Trump gets anyway remotely close to the White House in November, then you can stick a fork in us. We’re done!
