WWE Superstar Darren Young Comes Out of the Closet

WWE superstar Darren Young just dropped a bombshell, telling TMZ, he’s gay … and no, this isn’t part of the act.

Darren was at LAX Wednesday when we asked whether a gay wrestler could succeed in WWE, and Darren laughed, saying, “Absolutely. Look at me. I’m a WWE superstar and to be honest with you, I’ll tell you right now, I’m gay. And I’m happy. I’m very happy.”

For the record, Darren is now the first openly gay wrestler ever at WWE … and the first headlining wrestler ever to come out while still signed to a major promotion.

Other pro wrestlers have been rumored to be gay, but that’s it … just rumors.

Bottom line: this is big, big news. For all its chauvinism and testosterone-driven bravado, coming out in WWE is tantamount to coming out in the NFL

Little Boy Prays for Obama, Republicans go Insane

Christian conservatives are condemning a YouTube video where a young boy is praying for President Obama.

In the video, the boy clasps his hands and lowers his head before thanking the president for “all the stuff that you helped us with.”

Later in the video, the boy says, “God has given you a special power, and you are going to handle it just fine.” At the end, he opens his eyes and raises his hands, yelling a triumphant, “Barack Obama!”

…CainTV’s Robert Laurie wrote, “If you thought that Barack Obama was just a mortal man elected to a temporary position in office, you thought wrong. According to this video, he’s much, much, more than that. He is a divine instrument, replete with God-given ‘special powers.’”

WorldNetDaily condemned the young boy for “praying TO Obama. Not for him. Not about him. TO him.” This is despite the fact that the first words out of the boy’s mouth are “A prayer for President Barack Obama.”

And Alex Jones’ InfoWars took its criticism of the video to yet another level: “The controversial prayer video is just the latest example of the type of feverish leader worship historically only witnessed in communist and totalitarian regimes, such as North Korea, Mao’s China and Nazi Germany.”

Elected Republican Official Invites Rodeo Clown to Perform In His State

A conservative Texas lawmaker is inviting a rodeo clown banned from the Missouri state fair to perform in the Lone Star State instead.

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Tex.) says that the unidentified rodeo clown and his colleagues have been unfairly targeted by liberals “to create a climate of fear.” He invited them to come perform at a fair in his southeastern Texas district instead.

“Liberals want to bronco bust dissent. But Texans value speech, even if its speech they don’t agree with,” Stockman said in a statement issued by his office Wednesday. “From Molly Ivins to Louie Gohmert and every opinion between Texans value free and open political speech. I’m sure any rodeo in Texas would be proud to have performers.”

Missouri state and fair officials reacted swiftly over the weekend after a rodeo clown donned a mask of President Obama and asked people if they want to see the president “run down by a bull.”

State Fair officials labeled the show “inappropriate” and said it “does not reflect the opinions or standards” of the fair.

Stockman said Wednesday that the reaction was typical of liberals.

“The liberal reaction is straight out of (Saul) Alinsky. They want to crush dissent by isolating and polarizing anyone who questions Obama, even if it’s a rodeo clown with a harmless gag,” he said. “The idea to create a state of fear and make people afraid to trivialize Obama. No one tried to personally destroy the rodeo clown who wore a George H.W. Bush mask.”

Stockman represents a new district in the southeastern corner of Texas that was created as a result of population growth tabulated during the 2010 census. He was first elected to Congress in 1994, but only served on term, and was reelected last year. He’s an outspoken conservative critic of Obama, who said in January that he was willing to initiate impeachment proceedings against the president if the White House implemented new restrictions on firearms through executive action.

Rodeo Clown Sean Hannity Cannot Understand The Rodeo Clown Outrage

But this does not surprise anyone. The clown show at Fox has been entertaining their fans, whipping them into a hateful frenzy every time the name Barack Obama is mentioned.

So seeing the outrage that was caused when another rodeo clown tried to impersonate the president at a state sponsored event in Missouri, by wearing an Obama mask and shoving a stick up his ass… well such an outrage just boggles Hannity’s mind.

On his Fox Entertainment program, Hannity needed to make sure that there were others who agreed with him. And his point that the rodeo clown did nothing wrong would be more believable if his agreeable guests… were black.

Enter Jehmu Greene and and Erik Rush. Greene went first, explaining that she loves rodeo clowns because they are the “epitome of destruction.”

“It’s ridiculous,” Greene said. The NAACP is out of their dang minds to think that this should be investigated by the Department of Justice. Surprise, surprise that I think this is way overkill.”

Erik Rush added his two cents, calling the outrage, “the biggest batch of race-baiting bunk I’ve ever seen.”

It was the usual love fest in the Entertainment Network. They seeds of Obama hate landed on the usual ground and their audience ate it up.

All is well in the Fox hole.

Rand Paul thinks that Evidence of Voter Suppression Does Not Exist

Despite the fact that he and his party are doing all they can to suppress the votes of African Americas and Latinos.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a tea party senator with a long history of opposition to civil rights laws, told an audience in Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday that there is no evidence of black voters being excluded from the franchise. According to local NPR host Phillip Bailey, Paul said that he does not believe “there is any particular evidence of polls barring African Americans from voting,” during a speech to the non-partisan Louisville Forum.

If Paul is not aware of the evidence indicating widespread efforts to prevent African Americans from voting, then he must not be looking very hard. During the 2012 election, black and Hispanic voters waited nearly twice as long to cast a ballot as white voters. In Florida, lines of up to six hours led an estimated 201,000 people to become frustrated and leave the polls.

These lines existed largely because of a voter suppression bill signed into law by Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) which reduced early voting hours in the state. After the election, top Republicans admitted that the purpose of cutting early voting was to reduce Democratic turnout.

One Republican operative conceded that early voting was cut on the Sunday proceeding Election Day because “that’s a big day when the black churches organize themselves.”

Get a clue Paul! You’re blinded by your own politics.

Can a Brain Scan Detect Dyslexia in Children?

A US team found tell-tale signs on scans that have already been seen in adults with the condition.

And these brain differences could be a cause rather than a consequence of dyslexia – something unknown until now – the Journal of Neuroscience reports.

Scans could allow early diagnosis and intervention, experts hope.

The part of the brain affected is called the arcuate fasciculus.

Among the 40 school-entry children they studied they found some had shrinkage of this brain region, which processes word sounds and language.

They asked the same children to do several different types of pre-reading tests, such as trying out different sounds in words.

Those children with a smaller arcuate fasciculus had lower scores.

It is too early to say if the structural brain differences found in the study are a marker of dyslexia. The researchers plan to follow up groups of children as they progress through school to determine this.

Lead researcher Prof John Gabrieli said: “We don’t know yet how it plays out over time, and that’s the big question.

“We do not know how many of these children will go on to develop problems. But anyway, we want to intervene before that, and the younger you do that the better. We already know that reading programmes and interventions can really help.”

Hostages Shot and Killed in Louisiana Bank Heist

ST. JOSEPH, La. (AP) — A man who took hostages at a bank in rural Louisiana shot the two remaining hostages, killing one of them, before being shot and killed by police, authorities said.

During negotiations with law enforcement late Tuesday, the suspect — identified as 20-year-old Fuaed Abdo Ahmed — said he was going to kill the hostages, Louisiana State Police superintendent Col. Mike Edmonson said. State police then entered the building just before midnight Tuesday.

That’s when Ahmed shot the two hostages and then state police shot and killed him, Edmonson said. Edmonson said the hostages were shot in the upper body. He did not have any other information on the condition of the second hostage who was shot.

Oprah Winfrey Apologies For Media Uproar

In an interview with the Associated Press, Miss. Winfrey explained that her intentions were not to cause a media feed fest when she mentioned what happened to her in Switzerland.

“I think that incident in Switzerland was just an incident in Switzerland. I’m really sorry that it got blown up. I purposefully did not mention the name of the store. I’m sorry that I said it was Switzerland. I was just referencing it as an example of being in a place where people don’t expect that you would be able to be there.”

The incident became international when Oprah suggested that it was racism that caused a store clerk in Switzerland to deny her seeing a handbag of her choice because it was too expensive.

She told Entertainment Tonight:  “I was in Zurich the other day, at a store whose name I will not mention. I didn’t have my eyelashes on, but I was in full Oprah Winfrey gear. I had my little Donna Karan skirt and my little sandals on. But obviously ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ is not shown in Zurich.”

Oprah’s apology comes after the sales clerk accused her of lying. In a recent interview, the clerk emphatically denied being a racist and said she was shocked that Oprah made such a claim.

“It is absolutely not true that I declined to show her the bag on racist grounds. I even asked her if she wanted to look at the bag,” she said.

This has the makings of a lawsuit. Its the natural progression.

Michael Steele Acknowledges The Republican Party is Being Reduced to The Idiot Class

Michael Steele went on MSNBC’s Hardball today and called out certain members in his Republican party. The segment Steele was discussing had to do with the so-called Republican outreach or lack thereof, and the “bad behavior” by some elected members of the party when it comes to baseless, fact-less nonsense being spewed about President Obama and other minorities.

The moderator of the show pointed out some of the things elected Republicans have said about the President and he played a recording showing Rep. Blake Farenthold from Texas, who said that the original congress should have looked into President Obama’s birth and whether he was in fact an American citizen. He then turn to Steele, telling him that when elected Republican continue this baseless talking point, it reflects badly on the entire party. And then asked Steele what should be done to save the party.

Steele answered that comments like the ones from Farenthold should be dismissed by the leaders of the party. He also acknowledged that those comments draw the party down and “stereotypes the party into a very small casam of the idiot class who can’t figure out that America is changing and how to adopt to this change and become a part of it as opposed to resisting it.”

Well said Steele, well said. With views like this, we see now why they kicked you out from heading the RNC.
