The initial reporting of the terrorist attack in Paris stated that as many as 46 people killed and 100 others taken hostage. And as the story progressed, it is always the hope that that number will decrease and those originally feared dead would be found alive. Hope has failed us tonight as the number of innocent people killed has ballooned upwards past 100 to as many as 120 killed.
French television and news services quoted the police as saying that around 100 people had been killed at a concert site where hostages had been held during a two-hour standoff with the police, and that perhaps dozens of others had been killed in apparently coordinated attacks outside the country’s main sports stadium and four or five other popular locations in the city. But estimates on the total number of dead varied.
Witnesses on French television said the scene at the concert hall, which can seat as many as 1,500 people, was a massacre, describing how gunmen with automatic weapons shot bursts of bullets into the crowd. Ambulances were seen racing back and forth in the area into the early hours of Saturday.
Television reports said at least five assailants had been killed: three at the concert hall as the police assaulted the building, and two near the sports stadium. It was unclear whether other attackers were still on the loose early Saturday.

As the terrorist attacks on Paris unfolds, President Obama offered this statement to the people of France and to the America public, saying that America is “prepared and ready” to provide assistance to France.
“This is an attack not just on Paris. It’s an attack not just on the people of France. But this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share,” he said.
USA Today is reporting least 46 people were killed late Friday after gunmen opened fire at three locations in central Paris and fled in a car. They later took around 100 people hostage in a concert hall, police said.
At about the same time, two explosions were heard at or near the the Stade de France, the national stadium, where Germany and France were holding a soccer match, the Associated Press reports. It was not immediately clear if the two events were related.
According to the Associated Press, a police official said 11 people were killed in a Paris restaurant in the 10th arrondissement, and about 35 killed in the Bataclan theatre, where a hostage-taking is under way.
The newspaper Liberation said officials speaking over a loudspeaker at the stadium asked the crowd to evacuated calmly. French President Francois Hollande was at the game at the time and left to deal with the crisis.
When Fox News is talking bad about you, you know you’ve officially fallen off the deep end.
The head of Fox News tweeted his interpretation of Donald Trump’s recent 95 minute diatribe Thursday night, where Trump cursed and attacked everyone not named Donald Trump.
Trump especially had dome nadty things to say about his closest Republican rival for the GOP presidential nomination, Ben Carson, comparing the presidential hopeful to a “child molester.”
In a tweet, Murdoch said, “Trump finally loses it, in 95 minute rant calls Carson’s character like a “child molester”! Carson’s beautiful put down “pray for him”.
The face of ISIS, the man seen on video beheading three U.S citizens, was the target of a successful U.S airstrike. His fate is still unclear.
Mohammed Emwazi has participated in numerous propaganda videos showing the killings of Westerners, including American journalists Steven Sotloff and James Foley, American aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig, British aid workers David Haines and Alan Henning and Japanese journalist Kenji Goto, officials said.
A senior U.S. official told NBC News that the Kuwait-born British citizen was directly “targeted” by the strike in the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, Syria, on Thursday night.
“There is no vengeance, but there is accountability,” said the official, who stressed that “we are still assessing and not confirming” whether Emwazi had been killed.
A senior U.S. counter-terrorism official also told NBC News early Friday that there was “no definitive proof yet that he was killed.”

The great progressive voice of Ohio and former state Senator, Nina Turner, dropped her support for Hillary Clinton on Thursday and wholeheartedly endorsed Bernie Sanders for president.
Turner and Sanders’ presidential campaign confirmed the endorsement Thursday.
“I’m very attracted by his message and his style — and that he has held pretty much strong on his beliefs and the world is catching up with him,” Turner said.
Turner added that Sanders’ positions on voting rightsand wage issues have stood out to her. While she is expected to be active in his campaign, a Sanders spokeswoman said whatever role Turner has will not be paid.
Turner spoke to cleveland.com by telephone before flying to Iowa, where she will attend Saturday’s Democratic debate featuring Clinton, Sanders and Martin O’Malley.
She also will introduce Sanders at his Monday rally at Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center. The Vermont senator, who describes himself as a democratic socialist, has emerged as Clinton’s strongest Democratic primary rival.
“We are extremely, extremely humbled by the support of Sen. Nina Turner,” Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver said. “She is nationally known as a voice for voting rights, for workers’ rights and for marginalized people. The support of someone with that record of standing up for middle-income and working people is tremendously important.”
The 8-year-old was apparently the oldest child in the house and left there the supervised the 1-year-old and three other children. He attacked and killed the child because the she wouldn’t stop crying. And where was the mother you ask? She was out clubbing for the night!
An 8-year-old Birmingham boy is charged with murder in the beating death of a toddler girl left in his care, the youngest person in recent memory charged with murder in Jefferson County.
The girl’s mother is charged with manslaughter after police say she left her young daughter in the care of a group of children while she partied at a nightclub.
“This is one of the most heartbreaking investigations that I have seen in over 30 years of my law enforcement career,” said Birmingham police Chief A.C. Roper.
“There are just too many deep rooted issues in this horrific crime. It’s extremely troubling from so many different angles and there are no law enforcement answers to prevent it,” Roper said. “We’ve been concerned about the kids and the future effect on their lives. The bottom line is an innocent young baby lost her life and that should be a wake-up call for our community.”
Kelci Devine Lewis, who turned 1 in May, was found unresponsive in her crib at 10:45 a.m. Oct. 12. Police were called to the home on Second Avenue South, and Kelci was taken to Children’s of Alabama where she was pronounced dead at 11:07 a.m.
Authorities have said there were visible injuries to the girl. She died from blunt force trauma to the head, and internal injuries, Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards has said.
Here’s something for Republican presidential hopeful, Marco Rubio. Forget lying about welders making more money than philosophers, that is just a lie and you know it. Instead, tell your people that they could make more money if they quit their jobs and beg. Not only would that fit the Republican platform of austerity, but you could be telling the truth for a change.
A panhandler outside Grand Central Terminal says he rakes in up to $200 an hour from kind-hearted New Yorkers.
And the 43-year-old former theater stagehand is only one of a legion of beggars in the city hauling in big bucks and a smorgasbord of food doing nothing but sitting on the sidewalk with hands out.
“On a Friday morning, I make $400 in two hours,’’ said Will Andersen, who was with his 9-year-old dog, Rizzo, on East 42nd Street between Vanderbilt and Madison avenues on Tuesday.
As Andersen was talking to The Post, another beggar told him gleefully, “I got three breakfast sandwiches today! And they were all meat! I’m putting on pounds out here!”
The beggars’ comments came a day after Police Commissioner Bill Bratton urged New Yorkers to simply not give if they want to get vagrants off the streets.
Comedy Central’s Larry Wilmore did his best to describe Donald Trump’s performance in the 4th Republican debate on Tuesday and he summed up Mr. Trump as, “Stupid. Plain and simple.”
Wilmore continued;
“Contempt for higher learning, critical thinking — or as they called it, “elitism” — was always a strategy for smart guys to get into office. But now those smart guys are getting buried by their own creation of dumb.”

Bernie Sanders – Can you #FeelTheBern?
In a new McClatchy-Marist poll, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) leads Republican candidate Donald Trump by a landslide margin of 12 percentage points, 53 to 41. In the McClatchy poll, Sanders also leads former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) by a landslide margin of 10 points, 51 to 41.
The huge Sanders advantage over Bush is new. In previous match-ups, the polling showed Sanders and Bush running virtually even, with Bush holding a 1-point lead over Sanders in most of the polls. Future polls will be needed to test whether the huge Sanders lead over Bush in the McClatchy poll will be repeated in future polling or whether the McClatchy poll is an outlier.
