It’s easy being called an activist when it’s for the right reason, and when you’re a part of an administration whose main goal is working for the people, being called an activist is a good thing.
Eric Holder recognized this fact, and he is embracing being called an activist “1000 percent.”
“If you want to call me an activist attorney general, I will proudly accept that label,” Holder told journalist Juan Williams in an interview published at The Hill.
“Any attorney general who is not an activist is not doing his or her job,” he continued, adding that “the responsibility of the attorney general is to change things [and] bring us closer to the ideals expressed in our founding documents.”
Asked later about his response to critics who claim that the Justice Department houses an activist civil rights division and an activist chief, Holder said “I agree with you 1000 percent and [I am] proud of it.”

Let’s get Sowell to run for President!
Peace to you, too brother!
Peace through strength! Righteous Strength! Follow Dr. Carson, Dr. Sewell or Representative Tim Scott, real men, righteous men that care about you!
LOL… an in classic drama queen fashion, I’ll leave this convo. That’s what I get for trying to hold a conversation with a Republican… oops, Libertarian! I get name callings and emotional outbursts back up your claim. Is that your proof? Your facts?
And I’m the drama queen! LOL
Well this drama queen will still extend a welcome to you when you have facts to back up your original claim. Remember what it was, that Eric Holder is essentially breaking the law to further his own selfish activism? When you have proof of this, come back at me. Until then, I have no time for your childish name calling and immature insults.
Then again, an insult can only be called such if it’s taken that way. Your words do not affect me.
Peace! 🙂
That was a pedestrian insult! You have to smarter than that to be as foollove as I know you are. I don’t even believe you think you’re Kool! You’re the typical drama queen trying to be cool, every motion, every word, every gesture to make believe. While practicing to be tough might make you so, there’s no practicing to be cool; You are or you’re not and you don’t have to tell everybody about it. You’re a poser!
“legit”? Knack!
Well, you apparently posted a link. I can only assume that to be the case because in your haste to leave, you failed to realize that your proof is not there.
You see, when you say, “Here is a left wing rag version of it so you don’t have to take my word for it,” what usually follows would be the proof, a link or something to show that all your name callings about the Attorney General and myself, were legit!
There are no links, so that leaves me with just your uninformed opinions and that, is the argument of a Republican.
And a great day to you tool <— NOTE: the word "tool" is intentional!
🙂
If you knew anything at all, if you were the least bit engaged or interested in anything other than your own uninformed, ignorant, personal opinion, you’d look it up yourself!
Good day
P.S. Here’s a left wing rag version of it so you don’t have to take my word for it.
By the way, thanks for the criticism of my writing. From you, that means I’m as on point as I already knew I was.
Throwing aside your other rambling comments and personal attacks, the gist of your very long statement is to say that the Attorney General is using his personal agenda to dictate what laws should be implemented and how, thus, being an activist for the wrong reason.
Please, show me an example of where exactly the AG has done this… unless this is just another example of talk, talk, talk, without any facts to back up what is being said.
Thank you.
‘ezra grant’
Terrible article! It’s one thing to be an activist. The kind of activist that allows his personal, activist agenda to alter the course of faithful enforcement and the unfaithful non-enforcement of the law is unconscionable.
An oath is taken by the people and made by the AG and the pResident to whom the AG owes his appointment also makes the similar oath to protect and to faithfully serve the Constitution in slightly different language.
There is no oath that says that there is some personal, unlawful activism that can be considered “the right thing”, just because they disagree. That is the only right reason, not because ezra grant, eric holder and pResident, barack hussein obama say so.
The Constitution is clear in the first three Articles of the Constitution! To quote one fool, other than the one that wrote this article, but is mentioned in this post: Period!
As a prof. of mine used to say: “Got literacy?”
