Motorcyclist Did Stunts While Being Chased by Police – Video

A daredevil on a motorcycle taunted officers and performed stunts at speeds over 100 mph as he led police on an hour-long pursuit in Southern California, the NY Post reports.

The entire high-speed chase was caught on camera Wednesday night and shows the “crazy” motorcyclist standing proudly on his bike’s seat with his arms spread wide in the air. Moments later, he turns back and appears to egg on the cops, gesturing to them repeatedly.

Rancho Cucamunga resident Phillip Resendez, 22, was eventually arrested and booked for driving on the wrong side of the road and failure to yield after he pulled over and surrendered at a gas station, according to NBC Los Angeles.

At one point during the pursuit, Resendez — who was riding a Honda — can be seen parked in a cul-de-sac, acting completely cool as helicopters hover overhead. He nonchalantly takes his helmet off, puts his earbuds in and then takes off just as patrol cars approach him.

Later, he appears to even slow down and chat with two motorcycle cops who are riding next to him. But the fun and games abruptly came to an end once Resendez finally pulled over.

“I just want to say I love my family and my two baby girls,” he told CBS Los Angeles, moments after being taken into custody. “I’m sorry I disappointed them and put them in the middle of all of this.”

But Resendez didn’t look too remorseful sitting in the back of a cop car. Wearing a shirt with a marijuana leaf, he can be seen smiling from ear to ear as he stares directly at news cameras.

Texas Republican Wants to Make It a Crime to Film Cops

Here we go again with the FREEDOM loving Republicans. In Texas, this particular FREEDOM loving Republican wants to limit Texans from using their own personal cell phone to videotape a police officer.

So much for freedom.

A bill restricting the rights of citizens to record the police was filed in Texas House of Representatives on Tuesday.

The House Bill 2918 introduced by Texas Representative Jason Villalba (R-Dallas) would make private citizens photographing or recording the police within 25 feet of them a class B misdemeanor, and those who are armed would not be able to stand recording within 100 feet of an officer.

“My bill,” he tweeted on Thursday, “just asks filmers to stand back a little so as not to interfere with law enforcement.” He disagreed with people who said the measure makes filming police illegal.

Villalba introduced his measure to the Texas House this week. His office didn’t immediately respond to msnbc’s request for additional comment.

Police Officer Aims His Gun at Kids at a Snowball Fight – Video

Who would have thought that a snowball fight by a bunch of young people would result in a police officer pointing his gun at them? The conclusion I came up with is that snowballs are apparently lethal weapons, and this police officer was apparently scared for his life. I guess he really wanted to go home to his family after witnessing this snowball fight by a group of teenagers.

When he pulled his gun, the officer is heard saying, “Don’t f*cking move, guys.”

“They were having a snowball fight,” said the woman who filmed the incident on her cellphone. “This group of guys was having a snowball fight and now a cop has a gun on them.”

The incident happened Westchester New York last week. The police department did not issue an official statement on the incident.

Seattle Police Issues Apology to 69 Year Old Black Vet for Arresting Him For No Reason

Officer Cynthia Whitlatch

And it’s all caught on tape.

In the video, the officer is driving her patrol car with the dashboard camera recording. After a few seconds of driving, she pulls up on the man standing on the corner waiting to cross the street. The officer exited her vehicle and began telling the 69 year old to drop his weapon – a golf club he used as a cane.

The police officer accused the 70 year old of threatening her with a golf club. On the recording the officer, Cynthia Whitlatch, is seen pulling up to the man standing on a corner. She then demands the man to drop his golf club.

“You just swung that golf club at me,” Whitlatch yells.

“No, I did not!” exclaims the shocked pedestrian.

Whitlatch is heard telling the man that he is being recorded and videotaped, but review of that recording led the Seattle police department to issue the apology, as no threats were ever made to the officer.

The arrest took place in 2014 and the man, William Wingate – a black man and a veteran with no criminal record – tried telling the officer that he had done nothing wrong, except standing on the sidewalk. He was eventually arrested and pled guilty to the misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of a weapon in exchange for a two years probation which was dismissed.

Officer Whitlatch received “counseling” for her actions. According to reports, officer Whitlatch is also one of 123 Seattle police officers who filed suit to block federally mandated reforms to stop unnecessary police brutality.

Cop Caught Napping for 3 Hours is Confronted by Student – Video

Of course the officer denied that he was sleeping, but the student was pretty sure that the officer, sitting in his patrol car, did not leave the parking lot for at least 3 hours.

Watch what happened after Matt Fedora, a student at Southern Illinois University, approached the Carbondale cop and questioned why he is sitting in his patrol car for “the past 3 hours” and not out there fighting crime. To make a long story short, the cop vehemently denied he was sleeping, and then told the student that it was “illegal” to videotape a sleeping police officer.

“It’s perfectly legal to video (record) people in public, specifically police officers,” said Jane Adams, a Carbondale city councilwoman.

Carbondale Police Chief said that matter is being investigated.

NJ Cops Kill Black Motorist who Tried to Exit his Vehicle “Peacefully” – Video

More police brutality anyone? This time, in New Jersey. The incident happened on December 30th but the dashboard-cam video was just released. It shows a motorist trying to peacefully exit his vehicle with his hands raised, then killed by what appears to be a couple of trigger happy officers who apparently thought the raised hands of the motorist were threatening.

Police in Bridgeton pulled over the car in which Jerame Reid was a passenger on December 30th. Prosecutors said that “during the course of the stop a handgun was revealed and later recovered,” but witnesses said that Officers Braheme Days and Roger Worley opened fire and killed Reid as he was peacefully exiting the vehicle.

Tahli Dawkins told the Press of Atlantic City that he watched the officers approaching the car yelling, “Don’t effing move!” and that they opened fire without provocation.

Denzel Mosley told KYW-TV that Reid’s hands were “in plain sight,” and that the officers “were telling him, ‘Get out [of] the car,’” then yelling “‘Stop!’ and they started shooting.”

Ben Mosley — a retired sheriff’s deputy — said that Reid may have attempted to get back into the car when the officers yelled the contradictory order to “Stop!” but that he did not believe that justified firing upon him.

“I saw a disarmed man go down to the ground and get shot,” Mosley said. “That’s exactly what I saw.”

The video — obtained by the Press of Atlantic City but not released to the public — confirmed these eye-witness accounts.

Florida Police Use Photos of Black Men as Target Practice – PIC

Yea, I know what you’re thinking – that’s just impossible. Well, no it’s not. Not in Florida!

“The picture actually has like bullet holes,” Woody Deant told WTVJ in an article published Thursday. “One in my forehead and one in my eye.”

Deant’s sister, who serves in the Florida Army National Guard, said she discovered her brother’s face last month among a set of black male mugshots that were being used for target practice when she attended a shooting range, the station reported. Members of the the North Miami Police Department had been practicing there earlier, she told the station.

The mugshot was 15 years old, according to the family.

“Now I’m being used as a target?” Woody Deant told the station. “I’m not even living that life according to how they portrayed me as. I’m a father. I’m a husband. I’m a career man. I work 9-to-5.”

Police Chief J. Scott Dennis told WTVJ that the practice of using images of actual people is standard. He also denied any evidence of racial profiling, saying that police also have white and Hispanic faces in its inventory.

Responsible Police Officer Shoots off His Finger in Responsible Gun Store – Video

Now you can’t get more responsible than this, right? This must be what the NRA was referring to when they talked about good guys with guns – a Police officer and a gun shop owner.

The incident shown on the video below happened in Southern Kentucky when police officer Darrell Smith visited the Barren Outdoors in March and inquired about a .380 handgun. The clerk took the gun from the display and handed it to the officer without performing any safety checks on the weapon first.

The responsible officer, who is supposed to be especially trained in handling firearms, took the gun and neglected to check if the device was loaded. Moments later, the gun goes off in the officer’s hand, blowing off part of his finger.

Needless to say, the officer filed a lawsuit against the gun shop owner and he also lost his job.

“He’s permanently disfigured,” said Alan Simpson, the attorney representing the police officer. “He went through a lot of pain and suffering, He’s gone through several surgeries. He’s got a lot of medical bills that have to be paid. It ended his career and he’s going to have a lot of lost income.”

Police Arrest New Jersey Man for Filming a Car Accident – Video

Andrew Flinchbaugh found out the hard way that there are cops out there who think they can confiscate your personal property without just cause or even a warrant.

Andrew came upon a single car accident in Ocean County New Jersey and began filming.

Flinchbaugh, who has contributed in the past to a local news Web site, claims he was given permission to film by those first on the scene. However, one police officer seems to have taken exception to Flinchbaugh’s presence.

Flinchbaugh posted a 10-minute video of the events to YouTube and the footage appears to show him cooperating, while refusing the police’s principal request: to give them his camera as “evidence.”

As NBC 10 reports, the police officer in question was a detective from the Ocean County prosecutor’s office. Though Flinchbaugh offered to give him a copy of the video, for reasons that are still unclear, the detective wanted the camera.

He believed it was his legal right to take the camera. When Flinchbaugh refused to give hand it over, the detective arrested him for allegedly obstructing administration of law.

“I refused because I believe that that’s our First Amendment right,” Flinchbaugh told NBC 10.

When the officer threatened him with arrest, the video shows that Flinchbaugh calmly said: “Then you’re going to have to place me under arrest.”

To this, the detective replied: “Don’t push me like that.”

Flinchbaugh and his camera were released. Moreover, Ocean County prosecutor Joseph Coronato told NBC 10: “It would be my opinion that we’ll probably be dismissing the charge.”

He added: “We never would have looked at the video without getting a search warrant and, based on our information, we didn’t have the legal right to get the search warrant at that point.”
