Florida Cop Fired For Using Trayvon Martin Silhouette As Shooting Target

A police sergeant from Cape Canaveral, Florida has been fired after it was discovered he brought two shooting targets resembling Trayvon Martin to a training session last week.

Officer King

According to WFTV two officers saw the targets in the back of Sgt. Ron King’s vehicle and they informed the Chief of the Port Authority Police.

King was allegedly bringing the targets to a firearms training session in Cocoa, Florida at Brevard Community College.

The sergeant, who has been on the force since January of 2011, was on duty at the time.

He had purchased the two targets from the internet. It is not clear if they were used during the training session.

After an investigation from internal affairs, King was fired on Thursday.

John Walsh, the CEO of Cape Canaveral Port Authority, spoke to WFTV and apologized to Port Canaveral and the family of Trayvon Martin.

‘It’s something that we’d never want the Port Authority to be involved in and we truly apologize to the families for the pain that they even had to hear about something like this and had to relive their son’s death again.’

George Zimmerman’s Brother Compares Trayvon Martin To A Baby Killer

The older brother of George Zimmerman, the man accused of killing Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, posted an image on Twitter comparing the deceased teen to an alleged Ga. baby-killer.

On March 24, Robert Zimmerman, Jr., tweeted an image of Martin alongside one of De’Marquise Kareem Elkins, the 17-year-old accused of fatally shooting one-year-old Antonio Santiago in his stroller on March 21.

Zimmerman’s brother George shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Feb. 2012.

One Year After Trayvon’s Killing, Life In Sandford Florida Returning To Normal

SANFORD, Florida (AP) — One year after the shooting of an unarmed black teenager thrust this small central Florida city into the national spotlight, life in Sanford is returning to its regular rhythm.

After the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin at the hands of a neighborhood watch leader, civil rights leaders warned that Sanford risked its upscale reputation and could become a 21st century version of civil rights flashpoints like Selma, Alabama.

It seems that Sanford’s reputation has been maintained — at least for now. Downtown is abuzz with the activity of 1st Street shops and restaurants, not the sounds of marching protesters.

Literature lovers peruse Maya Books & Music. Craft beers are poured at The Imperial, a bar that doubles as a furniture store. At Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe, patrons feast on sauerbraten and listen to the house polka band.

But beneath the usual pace of life lurks the memory of what happened a year ago Tuesday in a nearby gated community.

Trayvon Martin would have celebrated his 18th birthday this past Tuesday. And thanks to Seminole County Circuit Court Judge Debra Nelson, justice prevailed that day in the case of the man who killed him. The judge denied George Zimmerman‘s bid for a delay of  his June 10th trial for the murder of the unarmed, black teenager, whom he shot and killed a year ago this month. Judge Nelson explained that she had allotted Zimmerman and his lawyers ample time before his hearing Tuesday, to bring any issues about the trial to her attention but that they made no use of that time.

Trayvon’s family and attorneys held a memorial service on the courthouse lawn before the hearing got under way.

How is it in the Year of Our Lord 2013 A.D. people still don’t get that its not necessary to scream into your cellphones in order for the person on the other end of the phone to hear you? Is it the absence of the extended mouthpiece that was available on your land-line (is available, I’ve still got one!) that gives you the illusion you’re talking to someone far away hence the yelling? Is it possible you’ve just gone deaf from having the infamous microwave technology radiating through your fried ear drum and beyond? Or do you think your loud incessant jabbering should take precedence over my personal space and stillness during our morning commute together? Calling on the Lord to smite you will only bring bad karma on me so I bite my tongue when I hear one of you entering the vehicle, but if you only knew what I was thinking…y’all know who you are.

A 75 y.o. man shot and killed a Dallas couple with five kids, in retaliation for them sweeping  feces from the couple’s dog onto the front entrance of his apartment. Chung Won Kim testified that he shot 31 y.o. Michelle Jackson as she stepped onto her patio Monday at around 8am at the Sable Ridge Apartments in Dallas, Texas. Kim then went into the apartment and shot her fiancee  Jamie Stafford also 31 y.o. In what dimension does a feud escalate to the point where two young people are killed, five children are left orphaned and an old man is incarcerated for a double-homicide because of dog-doo-doo? Well, you know.

I ♥ Audrey Peterman. When she gleefully took her husband up on a suggestion to take a couple of months off and drive around the country to see America, she had no idea it would lead to her life’s mission.  She was equally surprised when she saw on her journey less than a handful of America’s multi-ethnic and multi-racial citizens among the visitors and employees in the national parks. She and her husband Frank Peterman made a vow then to expose the natural wonders of our national parks and recreation areas to all Americans who, Audrey says, are the owners and stakeholders of our planet’s natural resources. Frank became the Southeastern Regional Director of the The Wilderness Society and he and Audrey continue to pursue their dream of a world in which people love and respect nature and are invested in its care. A few years ago I visited the Grand Canyon and the majestic mountain parks in Arizona and let me tell you, the connection you forge with nature out there is real and formidable. The grandness of the earth becomes a part of you that you keep and take back home. Corny I know, but go and see for yourself, pilgrim.

What was on Kim Kardashian’s mind as she tweeted a picture of a jewel-encrusted hand gun on Saturday? As usual, not a damn thing.  The pregnant reality star, forgetting she encouraged her Twitter followers to sign a pledge to help combat gun violence following the Sandy Hook shooting in December just a few weeks ago, quickly deleted the image after discovering her faux pas. Or more than likely someone pointed out the hypocrisy to the busy starlet. Oh– and good luck with the “happily-ever-after” Kanye. Thank goodness you didn’t wind up with no golddigga…

The chief executive of Twitter revealed that he wants the microblogging site to be as big as Facebook – with one billion users. Dick Costolo reignited the row with his company’s most bitter rival by taking aim at the milestone Facebook only reached in October after nine years of operation.

“We’re the size that 99.9 per cent of the other companies would like to be, but we believe Twitter is valuable to everybody on the planet.” says Costolo.

Twitter has 500 million users and has been running for seven years. Mr.  Costolo, 49, said: ‘I don’t think about our goals in terms of other companies (uh-huh). Where we want to get to is human scale, global scale. That’s a billion users, not where we are today.” Oooh! So that’s what the rich think about constantly, getting mo’ rich. Making a mental note.

So–what do self-absorbed teenagers and cockroaches have in common? Both are constantly grooming themselves to get close to the opposite sex.

  • Cockroaches’ antennae cleaning helps them detect potential mates
  • Leaving them dirty blinds the insects to their surroundings
  • When they were stopped from grooming a shiny substance collected

Yep, just like a teenager. The personal hygiene procedure is vital in keeping their sensory organs in tip-top shape, say scientists, allowing them to identify members of the opposite sex.

Pest-control possibilities stem from this research since the subjects are constantly grooming and ingesting any foreign or native matter that falls onto their bodies.

I’m talking about the roaches now. I love kids…really!

George Zimmerman Photo – My Only Question Is…

George Zimmerman released this colored photo showing the injuries he allegedly received on the night he killed Trayvon Martin. The photo is an obvious attempt to bolster his Stand Your Ground defense on why he killed the unarmed teenager.

My only question here is this: would Mr. Zimmerman be this bloodied if he had mind his own business and not pursued Trayvon Martin all over the neighborhood, especially after he was told by the authorities to leave Trayvon alone?

Had he listened to the police, Martin would still be alive and Zimmerman’s his blood would be on the inside, instead of being prominently displayed in this colored photo.

Try again George, this one’s not gonna fly.

Zimmerman Only Went to The Doctor Because he Needed A Note to Return to Work

A medical report conducted the day after George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin shows he went to the doctor’s office because he needed a note to return to work.

The morning after he killed Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman went to a clinic with what appeared to be a broken nose, two black eyes and two cuts on the back of his head. But the physician’s assistant who treated him determined he neither needed X-rays nor had he suffered head trauma, newly released medical records show.

Zimmerman declined to go to an ear, nose and throat specialist even though it was recommended, the physician’s assistant wrote. She also suggested he see a psychologist because of what he had just gone through.

George Zimmerman Called a Bully By Former Co-Worker

His identity is hidden because he fears retaliation from those who supports George Zimmerman, but the details emerging from a former co-worker of George Zimmerman paints another disgusting picture of Trayvon Martin’s killer.

He is an Arab-American and he claims that as an employee at CarMax in Sandford Florida, George Zimmerman bullied him and made racist comments to him, calling him as a terrorist and making fun of his accent.

The bullying and racial comments became so intense that the unnamed man wrote a letter to management complaining about George Zimmerman. Zimmerman was not reprimanded by management and eventually got away with his behavior because of what the man called “a great poker face.”

‘The guy was so convincing when he was confronted by management to the point where I doubted my own self,’ said the unnamed man.

‘I would not be surprised if he got away with it,’ [referring to the Trayvon Martin shooting].

‘He’s got, like you say, a good poker face. Great poker face.

‘That pretty much summarises this guy’s personality.

‘Great poker face.’

George Zimmerman’s Wife Arrested for Perjury

George Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie, was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility Tuesday on one count of perjury.

Deputies arrested Shellie Zimmerman, 25, where she was living around 3:30 p.m.

Earlier this month, prosecutors accused Shellie of lying to the court during a bond hearing for her husband in April. Shellie testified by phone about how much money they had, which turned out to be much more than originally claimed.

According to the probable cause affidavit, investigators looked into the financial records of George, Shellie, and George’s sister.

Investigators said the records showed that Shellie transferred more than $74,000 from George’s account to hers.

It was in recorded phone calls between George and Shellie, while he was in jail, that officials heard them discuss their finances and the transferring of money, investigators said.

George Zimmerman Heading Back To Jail

The man accused of murdering Trayvon Martin is going back to jail.

A Florida Judge today gave George Zimmerman 48 hours to return to jail after granting a prosecutor’s request to revoke his bail. Prosecutors said that Zimmerman and his wife Shellie knew, but failed to disclose, a fund of $135,000 donated by supporters that was accessible to Zimmerman during his bail hearing. During the hearing, they said they had limited funds available and would have difficulty posting bond. Bail was subsequently set at $150,000.

As a result of prosecutors’ petition, Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester found that Zimmerman misled the court and revoked his bond.

Prosecutors also claimed that Zimmerman had a second passport he failed to surrender, in direct violation of the terms of his bail. Zimmerman’s second passport was a replacement, granted to him after he believed his original passport was lost. The second passport was issued, then Zimmerman found the original, leaving him with two passports – and leaving one in his possession during his bail.  Judge Lester, however, dismissed this claim, stating that it was the same as having a replacement drivers license.

George Zimmerman Raise $200,000 in Online Donations

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – The attorney for the Florida man charged with murder in the shooting of an unarmed black teen said Friday he didn’t know his client had raised $200,000 before a bond hearing last week in which his client was granted $150,000 bond.

George Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 26 shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin after weeks without an arrest led to protests nationwide over racial profiling and controversial self-defense laws in Florida and other states. Martin was black; Zimmerman’s father is white and his mother is from Peru.

Zimmerman has gone into hiding since his release this week after paying 10 percent of his bail, though he has to wear a GPS ankle bracelet that authorities can use to track his location.

Zimmerman’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara told a judge Friday that Zimmerman’s family hadn’t told him about the money raised before his client was granted $150,000 bond.

Florida Judge Disqualifies Herself From Trayvon Martin Case

The Florida judge assigned to the murder case stemming from the shooting of Trayvon Martin disqualified herself at the request of George Zimmerman, the defendant.

Florida Circuit Judge Jessica Recksiedler, of the 18th Judicial Circuit in Seminole County, issued the disqualification order today, according to an e-mailed statement from the court. Judge Kenneth R. Lester Jr. will handle the Zimmerman case, according to the statement.

Recksiedler last week said she had a potential conflict of interest because her attorney-husband works with a TV legal analyst whom Zimmerman had sought out for legal representation in the case.
