Donald Trump – “I’ve Done Presidential Work” like “The Apprentice” – Video

The leader of the Republican went on Fox News to answer questions about some of the things he has said during his presidential campaign, and whether he can seem more presidential to win over independents if or when he wins the Republican nomination. Trump, who apparently thinks he is God’s gift to make America great again, patted himself on the back, stating that he has done great things in his lifetime, all of which were presidential. Among those great presidential things, Trump mentioned “The Apprentice.”

“When you have to deal with the independents in a general election should you get the nomination, are you going to have to change your language a bit and appear, what I call, more presidential,” ask Fox host, Greta Van Susteren.

“Well I think I’m presidential,” Trump answered. “And I think I’ve done presidential work… even with The Apprentice…”

Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy’ Explains The Reason for The Warm Weather – Video

Have you been outside lately? Today is December 24th, and here in the Northeast average temperatures should be in the 20’s or if we’re lucky, in the 30’s. But today, December 24th, we’re expecting temperatures to be well into the 70’s. That’s like… summertime temperature!

Well Bill Nye went on MSNBC and tried to explain the science behind the warmer temperatures, and yes, it has something to do with “Climate Change,” something Republicans refuse to acknowledge although the signs of climate change are blowing down their front door!

The Must See Ben Carson Ad You Probably Missed – Video

HUGE shout out to Rachel Maddow for highlighting these political ads on Wednesday’s show. Ms Maddow called this ad by Republican presidential candidate, Ben Carson, of the “best television political ad” she’s seen this year. And after checking it out for myself, I must agree. Ben Carson and his team outdid themselves with “These Hands.”

But with a mega-mouth called Donald Trump running for president, political ads are just a waste of time and money. Don’t believe me? Ask Jeb! who has spent almost $40 million on ads so far, only to see a return of 3% support for his campaign.

Political ads are mute in 2015.

With that said, check out “These Hands” by Ben Carson.

Mentally Ill Man Shot and Killed Seconds After Police Arrived On Scene – Video

Are you getting used to this yet? Police officers taking it upon themselves to decide who deserves a death penalty and then enforcing that death penalty on American citizens? You’ve seen numerous examples of this. You should be used to it by now.

But I’m not. Although I’ve seen countless videos of people being gunned down by police, I still cannot understand the act. It seems to me that gunning down the same person you’ve sworn to “serve and protect” is the ultimate living oxymoron.

On April 30th, Officer Neal Browder took a call to investigate a report of a man with a knife at an adult book store in San Diego. When Browder pulled up on the scene, the video shows him stopping his car and asking dispatch for a description of the perpetrator. After getting the description, Browder replied that he has the man in sight. The man, a 42-year-old mentally-ill homeless man named Fridoon Rawshan Nehad, walks into the video as Browder opens the drivers door and steps out of his car, gun drawn. Almost instantly, a flash of light leaves Browder’s gun and Nehad falls to the ground and dies.

The footage below was released by San Diego County District Attorney, Bonnie Dumanis. However, Bonnie Dumanis held a press conference stating that there will be no charges against the officer, according to reporting by KGTV.

Muslim Family Trying to Visit Disneyland Denied Entry to United States

And somewhere in the United States, hearing this news will obviously fill some people with excitement. Their party and its leaders are getting their wish to apply a religious test for Muslim-like people wishing to come to America. To hell with the Constitution, save the Second Amendment!

The Guardian identified one of the British travelers as Mohammad Tariq Mahmood, who said he was headed to Disneyland with his brother and nine of their children.

The group, according to the Guardian, was “about to embark on a dream holiday for which they had saved for months, were approached by officials from US homeland security as they queued in the departure lounge and told their authorisation to travel had been cancelled, without further explanation.”

“We were devastated,” Mahmood told the British TV station ITV. “We’d planned this trip for two months — the kids were excited — and all of a sudden some person just comes and says ‘you’re not allowed to board the plane,’ with no explanation.”

“We were alienated,” he added, “the way we were just taken out the room.”

Mahmood said the children were “devastated” and had “tears in their eyes.”

In an interview with the BBC, Mahmood said he was taken aside by a British border control official just before his family was due to board the flight — and that the children knew almost instantly what was happening.

“We were the only family that were Asian, Muslim appearance. It was embarrassing that we were the only family that were taken out,” he said. “When they saw me shaking my head, the younger ones started crying. They knew straight away.”

No American officials told them why they weren’t being allowed to enter the United States, Mahmood told the Guardian, but he said the reason was “obvious.”

“It’s because of the attacks on America — they think every Muslim poses a threat,” he told the newspaper.

Ronald Reagan’s Daughter – “My father would be so appalled” with the GOP

If you’ve been paying attention over the last few uears you’ve already come to the realization that Republicans love Ronald Reagan. Forget Mike, Reagan is the man they all want to be like. Republicans Want you to believe that he is them and them is he.

But do Republicans really want to be like Reagan? Do they aspire to follow in Reagan’s footsteps like they often claim? And although his name is interjected at every juncture, do Republicans really believe Reagan would approve of their tactics?

According to Reagan’s daughter, the answer is a HUGE “NO!” In fact, according to Patti Davis, her dad would be “appalled” by what is going on in today’s Republican Party.

“My father would be so appalled at what’s going on, and he would be so appalled at probably all of these candidates,” Patti Davis said in a Sirius XM interview. “I don’t think he would be a Republican. And if another Ronald Reagan came along, I don’t think the Republican Party would accept him.”

Neff said. I mean, what else could you add to that?

The Republican Party is a national and international disgrace.

Texas Grand Jury Sides with Police – No Indictment in Sandra Bland’s Death

Twenty eight year old Sandra Bland was arrested and jailed for allegedly not using a turn signal in Texas on July 10th. She was found dead in her cell three days later.

Now, after spending 8 whole hours reviewing police account that Bland hung herself with a plastic bag, a Grand Jury in Texas agreed that the obviously very strong piece of plastic was all the 28 year old woman needed.

“After reviewing all the evidence in the death of Sandra Bland, a Waller grand jury did not return an indictment in the death of Bland, nor were any indictments returned against any employee of the Waller County Jail,” said Darrell Jordan, a special prosecutor handling the case.

The grand jury will reconvene in January to consider other indictments.

Bland, an African-American woman, was found dead in her cell three days after she was arrested for allegedly failing to use her turn signal on July 10. She was 28.

Officials in Waller County, Texas, have said she hanged herself with a plastic bag. Her family and others have questioned that account.

Those questions continued Monday night.

“We are not going to allow what they have done in a limited, secret capacity to prevent us from doing what we need to do to get answers for the family,” Bland family attorney Cannon Lambert told CNN affiliate KPRC.

Lindsey Graham Ends His Failed Presidential Bid – Video

South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham is known for saying some crazy things. But in an atmosphere where just being crazy is not enough for Republicans, Graham couldn’t make the grade and wasn’t taken seriously in this year’s extremely crazy Republican nomination process. After languishing around zero percent for what seemed like an eternity, Graham finally called it quits.

In a YouTube announcement shared on his Instagram account, the South Carolina Republican said, “Thank you to everyone who honored me with their support. God bless our fighting men and women & God bless America.”

Donald Trump Defends Putin – “I Haven’t Seen” Proof that Putin Kills People

On a recent interview with MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Donald Trump was asked about his new-found friend Vladimir Putin, and whether knowing that Putin is responsible for the deaths of people and some journalists means anything. In that interview, Donald Trump’s answer on Morning Joe was “that’s the way it is.”

On Sunday, Donald Trump doubled down.

The Republican front-runner Donald Trump on Sunday pushed back on the notion that Russian President Vladimir Putin has killed journalists, saying that it’s “terrible” if it’s happened but he hasn’t seen proof that it has.

“In all fairness to Putin, you’re saying he killed people. I haven’t seen that. I don’t know that he has. Have you been able to prove that? Do you know the names of the reporters that he’s killed? Because I’ve been – you know, you’ve been hearing this, but I haven’t seen the names,” Trump said on ABC.

The Russian president, who some of Trump’s GOP rivals have called a “thug” and a threat, recently praised Trump as “bright and talented.”

When confronted with Mitt Romney’s tweet also alleging that Putin kills journalists and political opponents, Trump again dismissed the claims. “He’s always denied it,” Trump said of Putin. “He’s never – it’s never been proven that he’s killed anybody. So, you know, you’re supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, at least in our country. He has not been proven that he’s killed reporters.”

Ugliness in the Season of Beauty

I usually look forward to the December holidays because, for at least one month, people in the United States tend to he hopeful, helpful, optimistic and happy. They look backward at the year that was and take stock, and they look forward with anticipation at what the new year will bring.

This year, things are most certainly different. The terrorist attacks here at home and in France, Afghanistan, Iraq and other places have sapped some of the love and light from the season. We are a scared nation with no clear path forward. Want to brutally bomb Syria? An option. Want to send ground troops to Syria and Iraq? Another option. Want to create a coalition of American, European and Middle Eastern countries to fight ISIS and other terrorist groups? A third option. But none of these seem like THE option and they all involve terrible risks both overseas and at home.

President Obama has been steadfast in his insistence that we will not send masses of American troops to Syria or Iraq and I think that’s exactly the correct strategy for now. He has rightly been criticized for downplaying the ISIS threat and for not standing behind his threat to attack Syria if Assad used Chemical weapons, but most Americans do not want to see our men and women coming home in body bags. The old joke is that we shouldn’t elect anyone who actually wants to be president because it’s a terrible, impossible job. These are the times.

The focus on attacks from radical terrorists has overshadowed the home-grown terror that has also shaken the nation.  The killings at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs was quickly forgotten in the wake of San Bernardino, but both were shocking events by people who were motivated by hatred, a misplaced fanaticism, and unbending ideology. In both shootings, the perpetrators should never have been allowed to get their guns, but because we are rapidly making the Second Amendment more important than the First, more people will get guns and use them on innocent people.

The other event that is dampening the holiday spirit is the presidential election. The Republican candidates are falling over themselves to blame Muslims and immigrants for our problems and have created an atmosphere where attacks on American Muslims are rising, and overreactions to a school assignment in Virginia that led to the entire school system being shut down because a teacher asked her students to copy a passage from the Koran using calligraphy. Dangerous, inflammatory rhetoric has its consequences and we are now living those consequences.

The left also has its problems when it comes to these issues. Calls for safe spaces and trigger warnings on college campuses only serve to segregate students and ideas, making common cause that much more difficult. If a person doesn’t feel safe in the general population, that’s a problem that needs to be addressed head-on. The answer is not to provide areas where people can retreat to or have their ideological bubble re-inflated.

The unfortunate aspect of this particular racist, phobic spasm we’re living in now is that it’s a very American trait. In fact, it’s more a part of our history than acceptance of different people and ideas. We eventually do make room in our society for those we first shun and isolate, but it takes too long and we backslide far too often. One need only look at how African-Americans and Latinos are treated by police forces to understand just how much more work we need to do on justice, even as we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act.

We will eventually move forward as a country and I’m looking forward to a shift in tone from politicians and a shift in attitude from many of my fellow Americans. In the meantime, I wish you peace and joy, humility and introspection, thoughtfulness and forthrightness, love and honor. And let’s turn the ugliness around. Now.

Jeb Bush – “Donald Trump is a Jerk!” – Video

Republican presidential candidate, Jeb Bush, gave himself some therapy today by getting some things off his chest. Apparently, the brother of former president, George Bush, was walking around with this baggage for a while and he used a town-hall style campaign event in New Hampshire to unload.

Responding to a man who asked about healthcare, Jeb quickly got that man and his question out of the way by mentioning his former years as governor of Florida. But there were more important things to talk about, so Jeb somehow found a way to dump on Trump, telling the sitting audience that “Donald Trump is a jerk,” a move clearly designed to bring some media attention his way.

“You cannot insult your way to the presidency,” Jeb says. “You can’t disparage women, Hispanics, disabled people… Who is he kidding? This country is far better than that. And the idea that he is actually running for president and insulting these people… is deeply discouraging, to be honest with you… that is now how we win!”

Jeb ended by saying, “I feel better now. I gave myself therapy there, thank you for allowing me to do it.”

Bernie Sanders Gets His Database Back From the Democratic Establishment

The bullying of Bernie Sanders appears to be over, albeit temporary, with an agreement between the DNC and the Sanders campaign over restoration of his well-needed voter database. And in their statements, both sides claimed victory.

“The Democratic National Committee on Friday capitulated and agreed to reinstate Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign’s access to a critically important voter database,” the Sanders campaign said in a statement.

“The Sanders campaign has now complied with the DNC’s request to provide the information that we have requested of them,” DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz said in a statement.

After four Sanders campaign staffers were accused on Thursday of inappropriately accessing Clinton campaign data, the DNC barred the Sanders from accessing its own all-important voter data. Seeking relief, the Sanders campaign filed a lawsuit to challenge the DNC and won back access shortly before midnight.

Sanders’ access to the data would be restored by Saturday morning, the campaign said. The Sanders campaign did not say whether it would drop a lawsuit it filed against the DNC for monetary relief: the campaign estimated it would lose $600,000 a day without access to its voter file and its fundraising tools.
