GOP Senator to GOP Pals – “Man Up” and Vote on Obama’s Nominee

Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) took a swing at his party Friday, saying Republicans need to “man up” and give Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland a vote, The Hill reports.

“Just man up and cast a vote. The tough thing about these senatorial jobs is you get yes or no votes. Your whole job is to either say yes or no and explain why,” he told “The Big John Howell Show” on WLS-AM in Chicago.

The Illinois Republican, who faces a tough reelection bid, was quick to break with the party’s strategy to block President Obama’s Supreme Court pick from getting a hearing, a vote or, in most cases, a meeting.

He told The Hill last month he would accept a meeting with the president’s nominee and added this week that “I will assess Judge Merrick Garland based on his record and qualifications.”

Sanders Would Ask President Obama to Withdraw his Supreme Court Nominee

In an interview with Rachel Maddow on Thursday, Bernie Sanders acknowledged that although President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee is passable, he would ask the president to withdraw judge Merrick Garland as the next Supreme Court nominee because there are a lot more progressive judges capable of filling the ninth seat on the court.

Maddow asked, “If you get the democratic nomination and you were elected president in November, would you ask president Obama to withdraw that nomination in a lame duck so you could name your own nominee?”

“Yes I would,” Sanders answered. He went on to say that he is “one hundred percent prepared” to support the President’s nominee, “but there are some more progressive judges out there.” Sanders then spoke about his “litmus test” for possible judges, and that test is a judge’s apatite to do away with Citizen’s United.

Donald Trump Explains – I Consult Myself on Foreign Policies – Video

Since he announced his plan to run for president, we’ve waited patiently for Trump to announce actual policies instead of talk, to gauge exactly how Donald Trump would go about making America great again. We have seen none… except for the time when Donald Trump said he gets his information from watching the Sunday shows.

But now there’s more. Donald Trump has decided to bless the American people with more information, telling us exactly who his advisers are when it comes to foreign policies. And according to Trump, he is his own adviser!

I kid you not!

“I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I’ve said a lot of things,” Trump said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” when asked about his consistent foreign policy advisers.

“I know what I’m doing and I listen to a lot of people, I talk to a lot of people and at the appropriate time I’ll tell you who the people are,” Trump he went on to say. “But my primary consultant is myself and I have a good instinct for this stuff.”

Convicted Felon Sings Adele-inspired “Sorry” to Judge and Victim – Video

He stood in court at his sentencing and when given his chance to talk to the judge, he chose to “sing” a variant of Adele’s Hello. Brian Earl Taylor was arrested last November when he was caught struggling with a man in an apartment in Michigan. Police say Taylor held the man at gunpoint and arrested him for carrying a concealed weapon and kidnapping.

Taylor appeared at Washtenaw County Trial Court in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to be sentenced for unlawful imprisonment and carrying a concealed weapon, court records indicate. When he addressed the court, he sang his soulful apology to the tune of Adele’s smash hit “Hello,” complete with lyrics he’d written himself.

“I’m gonna start with a song,” Taylor, a Belleville, Michigan, resident, said when he addressed the court.

Taylor then began his one-minute song with a greeting to the judge.

“Hello, your honor,” Taylor sang.

As the song went on, he apologized to the victim, his mother and Judge Darlene O’Brien.

“I want to say I’m sorry for the things I’ve done, and I try to be stronger in this life I’ve chosen,” Taylor sang. “But I want you to know, that door I closed, your honor.

“I’m sorry, sorry, sorry,” Taylor continued.

Laura Bush Couldn’t Say if She Would Vote for Donald Trump

Asked in an interview whether she was on the Donald Trump bandwagon and will cast her vote for him if he becomes the Republican nominee, Laura Bush, wife of Jeb’s brother and former president George Bush, shot down the reporter’s question, saying, “I’m not going to answer. Don’t ask that.”

Laura Bush said she is uncommitted after former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.), her brother-in-law, suspended his presidential campaign last month.

“We got off the sidelines for Jeb,” she said of herself and former President George W. Bush, her husband. “He was our candidate.”

Laura Bush also cautioned Americans against abandoning their tolerance of other cultures and religions.

“One of the reasons we’re a country is because we believe in freedom of religion,” she said. “We believe that people could be religious.

“They could choose any religion that they wanted to, or they could not worship, if they didn’t want to. We don’t have any religious test in the United States. And that’s what we need to remember. We need to remember what our values are.”

Trump Refused to Attend, So Next GOP Debate Cancelled

The Republican kingpin has spoken!

The U.S. Republican presidential debate scheduled for next week in Utah has been canceled, two local news affiliates in Salt Lake City reported on Wednesday, after party front-runner Donald Trump earlier said he would not attend.

Fox13 and ABC’s KUTV cited representatives for the Salt Palace Convention Center where the televised event was to be held. A representative for the center referred calls to Fox, which could not immediately be reached for comment.

In an interview on Fox News earlier on Wednesday, Trump said he would not attend the event, scheduled for March 21, as he thought the Republicans had “had enough debates.”

Rival John Kasich said following Trump’s decision that he would not attend the debate unless the front-runner changed his mind and decided to come.

Ted Cruz, the third candidate vying for the Republican nomination for the November presidential election, criticized Trump on Twitter for his decision, calling him #DuckingDonald and urging his supporters to tell him to attend the debate.

The network announced Monday’s debate earlier this week.

Donald Trump Suggests “Riots” If he Loses GOP Nomination – Video

Donald Trump, the Republican inciter-in-chief, did just that today in a CNN interview, telling the host that Riots will ensue if he does not get the Republican nomination.

Right before Trump proclaimed riots in the street, the leader of the Republican talked briefly about bringing the party together, what he called a “natural healing process” after “the war is over.” Then the promise of riots began.

, “But I can tell you, if we didn’t, and if we’re 20 votes short or if we’re 100 short, and we’re at 1100 and somebody else is at 500 or 400, cause we’re way ahead of everybody — I don’t think you can say that we don’t get it automatically. I think it would be, I think you’d have riots. I think you’d have riots. You know we have, I’m representing a tremendous — many, many millions of people in many cases first time voters.”

President Obama’s Supreme Court Nominee is…

The Constitution of the United States command the president of the United States to appoint nominees for the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Obama is fulfilling his Constitutional duties.

President Obama will announce federal appeal court Judge Merrick Garland on Wednesday as his nominee for the Supreme Court, according to reports.

Garland, 63, was selected by the President to fill the seat left vacant by Justice Antonin Scalia’s sudden death last month, both The Associated Press and The New York Times reported.

Garland is the chief judge of the Washington, D.C., court of appeals. He was among those considered for the seat taken by Justice Elena Kagan in 2010.

Obama’s choice will pit the President in a bitter battle with Senate Republicans, whose leaders vowed to turn their back on his candidate — no matter who was chosen.

Obama has simply responded that he was fulfilling his Constitutional duties as President, rather than letting a seat on the nine-member court go vacant for 11 months.

Bernie Sanders Speech Ignored by Major Networks

Marco Rubio ran for president, never won anything to speak of and was a consistent third in the Republican primaries. But his speeches and his boisterous claims of eventually becoming the next president of the United States was a must see for all the major networks. And last night when Marco decided to pull the plug on a campaign that never took off the ground, the major networks carried the loser’s event LIVE!

But Bernie Sanders is not that lucky. And although Sanders continues to get larger crowds and more enthusiasm than his competition, and although he has actually won multiple states, the big money “news” outlets still refuse to give Bernie the type of respect they gave loser Marco.

As Bernie Sanders took the stage on Tuesday night, the cable networks continued doing what they do best — talking.

Fox News, CNN and MSNBC all declined to carry Sanders’ speech, instead offering punditry about the evening, with the chyrons promising, “AWAITING TRUMP” and “STANDING BY FOR TRUMP.”

So first all the Bernie supporters still trying to figure out why your candidate is constantly getting dissed by the establishment, here is the speech the lame stream media refused to show you.

Bill O’Reilly – Trump Won in Florida Because “Voters Want a Punishment” – Video

Bill O’Reilly of Fox News said something very eye-opening. After seeing Donald Trump crush-fest on Marco Rubio in Rubio’s home state of Florida, O’Reilly said something rather telling – “voters want a punishment,” so that’s why they’re voting for Trump.

“It was no surprise that Trump won in Florida,” O’Reilly told Fox News anchor Bret Baier moments after the network called the state for the Republican billionaire. “The reason I think that Trump won in Florida is because he comes across as more authoritarian — not authoritative — authoritarian.”

According to O’Reilly, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio was never able to overcome the perception that an outsider was needed “to punish the Republican establishment.”

“But more importantly to take it to Hillary Clinton,” he continued. “I think the turning point in this race for Trump was when he attacked both Hillary and Bill Clinton a few months ago when they started the sexist stuff, and he just laid them out. I think a lot of people saw that and said, ‘You know what? This guy can punish as well as win.’”

“And in this angry age,” O’Reilly added, “voters want a punishment along with a victory.”
