Michael Jackson’s former doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray is kind of a douche. Not only did he kill the King of Pop, but he won’t be testifying in Katherine Jackson’s wrongful death lawsuit against AEG Live.
He refused to testify at his own trial in 2011 and has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter. As a result, he was sentenced to four years in the slammer. Now that Katherine Jackson is going after AEG, Conrad refuses to testify and doesn’t want to incriminate himself. This douchebag probably doesn’t believe that he’s done anything wrong… And he wonders why he gets no sympathy when he constantly whines about prison conditions and his health concerns.
In a sworn statement addressed to the Jacksons and Katherine’s lawyer, he refused any assistance. Katherine’s lawyer said “He would not answer anyquestions at the deposition or the trial.”
Katherine is suing AEG for $40 billion, the amount she claims her son would have made if they weren’t negligent in hiring and supervising Dr. Murray. The trial will begin on April 2, 2013. Stay tuned…
If President Obama really hates Israel like Republicans here in America would want you to believe, then why have the people of Israel awarded Mr. Obama the highest civilian honor in their country? Maybe, and I’m only guessing here, but just maybe, Republicans were lying all along. Maybe their claim that Obama is not liked Israel is just another political charade on their part, to get the Jewish vote.
During a dinner where President Obama was awarded the Honor, Israel’s President Shimon Peres said;

“On occasion, when we were alone, you stood with us. So we were not alone. We were alone together. We shall never forget it. During your previous visit to Israel, you asked me if I had any advice to offer. It is not in my nature to let questions go unanswered. So I suggested that while people say that the future belongs to the young, it is the present that really belongs to the young.”
This is not necessarily a “big” Christie joke, all we’re trying to do here is put things into perspective. Would you still call the Republican governor – who may well be the Republican nominee for President in 2016 – a big man when he’s standing next to Shaquille O’Neil?

North Dakota became the first state on Friday to pass a fetal personhood amendment, which grants legal personhood rights to embryos from the moment of fertilization. The state House of Representatives voted 57 to 35 to pass the amendment, after the Senate passed the same measure last month.
The measure will now appear on the November 2014 ballot, and voters will be able to accept or reject it. If it passes, it will amend North Dakota’s constitution to state that “the inalienable right to life of every human being at any stage of development must be recognized and protected.” The amendment would ban abortion in the state, without exceptions for rape, incest or life of the mother, and it could affect the legality of some forms of birth control, stem cell research and in vitro fertilization.
This petition is well worth your support, considering many in Congress represent Corporations and not the actual people who went to the polls and voted them into office. The petition, although it may be considered a joke by many, hits the nail on the head and correctly identifies the main problem with today’s politicians – they cater to those special interests who donate millions to their re-election campaign, and forget the suffering of the constituents they’re supposed to represent.
I especially like the part suggesting that the size of the logo should reflect the amount of money the politician accepted in donations from the company. Brilliant!
Since most politicians’ campaigns are largely funded by wealthy companies and individuals, it would give voters a better sense of who the candidate they are voting for is actually representing if the company’s logo, or individual’s name, was prominently displayed upon the candidate’s clothing at all public appearances and campaign events. Once elected, the candidate would be required to continue to wear those “sponsor’s” names during all official duties and visits to constituents. The size of a logo or name would vary with the size of a donation. For example, a $1 million dollar contribution would warrant a patch of about 4″ by 8″ on the chest, while a free meal from a lobbyist would be represented by a quarter-sized button. Individual donations under $1000 are exempt.

(AP) – Actress and Kentucky native Ashley Judd made a rare public reference to her possible run for the seat held by Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
WXIX-TV says Judd gave the keynote speech Friday at the American Counseling Association’s 2013 conference in Cincinnati.
In speaking about her personal experience with depression, she said when she started in counseling she didn’t like to be criticized. She added that was ironic since she was, in her words, “about to get $40 million worth of it.”
Judd also said her mother, Naomi Judd, can’t wait to turn her garage into a campaign headquarters.
Judd is a former Kentucky resident now living outside of Nashville, Tenn.
She has been largely mum about her intentions. Defeating McConnell would be the Democrats’ biggest prize of the 2014 election.
Although rich folks in America have been the only benefactors of a Republican policy called Trickle Down Economics – a policy earning them trillions in wealth since it was implemented – there are those who still believes that asking these same people to contribute to the economy by paying a fair share of taxes is the wrong thing to do.
Bill O’Reilly tonight express his outrage with the Congressional Progressive Caucus over a budget proposal that includes taxing billionaire at 49 percent. O’Reilly squared off with Demos co-founder David Callahan over whether it is “morally right” for the government to impose that level of taxation on any American citizen. Callahan told O’Reilly that taxes were that high during the Reagan years, with O’Reilly dismissing that argument as irrelevant and asking if the government has any right to “take half your stuff.”
O’Reilly declared that if the CPC budget actually went into effect, it would “absolutely destroy the American economy, predicting that billionaires would have to hand over their personal information to the IRS. Callahan said, “Donald Trump and his dermatologist shouldn’t be paying the same tax rate.”
O’Reilly asked Callahan if it is “morally right” for the government to tax any American that much. Callahan pointed out that the top tax bracket under Reagan was around 50 percent, though O’Reilly shot back that no one really paid all of that due to deductions and tax shelters. He dismissed the Reagan argument as “not relevant to our discussion,” saying the real issue is if “the federal government in a free nation… [has] the right to take half your stuff, no matter how much money you earn.”
The Senate tonight voted to block cuts in benefits for Social Security and disabled veterans.
The amendment by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) put the Senate on record against changing how cost-of-living increases are calculated in a way that would result in significant cuts.
“The time has come for the Senate to send a very loud and clear message to the American people: We will not balance the budget on the backs of disabled veterans who have lost their arms, their legs and their eyesight defending our country. We will not balance the budget on the backs of the men and women who have already sacrificed for us in Iraq and Afghanistan, nor on the widows who have lost their husbands in Iraq and Afghanistan defending our country,” Sanders said.
The amendment opposed switching from the current method of measuring inflation to a so-called chained consumer price index. President Barack Obama favors a chained CPI as part of what the White House calls a “grand bargain” that Obama hopes to reach with congressional Republicans.
The proposed change would affect more than 3.2 million disabled veterans receiving disability compensation benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans who started receiving VA disability benefits at age 30 would have their benefits reduced by $1,425 at age 45, $2,341 at age 55 and $3,231 at age 65. Benefits for more than 350,000 surviving spouses and children who have lost a loved one in battle also would be cut. Dependency Indemnity Compensation benefits already average less than $17,000 a year.

State lawmakers are poised to say just that after the Senate gave its initial backing Wednesday to a bill that would allow people to salvage roadkill for food. The measure is now a final vote from heading to Gov. Steve Bullock.
It makes no sense to let the carcasses of big-game go to waste on Montana’s roadways, supporters said.
“It really is a sin to waste a good meat,” said state Sen. Larry Jent, D-Bozeman.
The measure calls for law-enforcement officers to issue permits to individuals who would be allowed to remove the carcasses of elk, deer, antelope and moose off the state’s roadways. An earlier version would have allowed fur-bearing animals, upland game birds and migratory game birds to be scraped up, too, but it got canned.
Opponents question whether the meat would be safe and whether it would create liability issues for food banks that accept it. Sen. Kendall Van Dyk, D-Billings, said law-enforcement officers are not qualified to decide whether roadkill is safe to eat.
“Despite it’s good intention, it doesn’t pass the smell test for me,” Van Dyke said.
The President did something most Americans do every year, so naturally, Republicans found a problem with what he did. The latest example is Mr. Obama taking a few minutes out of his schedule to fill out his March Madness brackets. Most Republicans naturally have a problem with this, but we’ll look at what Senator Lindsey Graham and Rudy Giuliani has to say about this unbelievable thing the president did.
“Do you realize he’s never received one vote for any of his previous budgets? If he can pick one winner right in the brackets, he’s trumped on what he’s able to do on getting votes for his own budget,” Graham (R-S.C.) said Wednesday on Fox News’ “On the Record.”
Obama picked Indiana University to win the NCAA March Madness tournament, which begins Thursday.
“I think his basketball picks are good news stories and his budget is a lousy news story for him, and so he’s trying to do a good news story,” Graham said on Fox News.
He added: “So why he’s doing this? It’s a good soft news story. His budget is going to be met with absolutely no support from Democrats and Republicans.”
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said that he has no issue with Obama filling out a bracket — provided he gets his work done.
“I have no problem with the president doing his brackets. That’s fine. He’s having fun. He’s entitled to have some fun, but usually the way I look at it is you have fun after you do your work. And the president hasn’t done his work,” said Giuliani, a Republican, on Fox News. “He hasn’t done it in years. He hasn’t proposed a budget that’s serious since he’s been president. As Lindsey pointed out, he can’t even get a Democrat to vote for one of his budgets.”
Yep. Pay no attention to the fact that since the President’s policies took effect in 2009, the economy has been steadily adding millions of jobs that were lost under the previous Republican administration. And pay no attention to the fact that most Americans have regained the losses they suffered in their 401k and other annuity accounts. Or that the stock market recently hit an all time high due in part to the President’s policies, or that most economists agree that things are better now than when Obama took office.
Those are just facts Republicans would rather you not pay attention to. As far as they’re concerned, the President is not working.
President Obama’s limousine, the armored vehicle known as “The Beast,” broke down today at Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel, after being wrongly filled with diesel instead of gasoline.
According to the Times of Israel, the vehicle would not start, and another presidential limousine was flown in as a replacement.
Secret Service spokesperson Edwin Donovan addressed the issue this morning, saying the Service “did not have a read on what the specific issue is at this point.” He noted the incident happened before President Obama’s arrival, and that his itinerary was not affected:
One of our protective vehicles experienced mechanical problems in Israel earlier today. This is why we bring multiple vehicles and a mechanic on all trips. Situations like this are planned for extensively by our advance teams so that the President’s itinerary is unaffected by these types of issues.
An emotional Michael Moore berated Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid D-Nev. last night for the decision not to include Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s assault weapons ban in the Democratic gun control bill.
The liberal filmmaker was a guest of CNN’s Piers Morgan last night, criticizing the senior Democrat with rhetoric usually reserved for former President George W. Bush.
“This is just going to keep going on and on and on, until people rise up,” Moore insisted. “Until people take Harry Reid by the collar and say, ‘Who the hell do you think you are, this is our country Harry Reid.’
“He should be ashamed of himself,” Morgan agreed.
Moore asserted that Reid would act differently “if a man with an assault weapon killed Harry Reid’s grandchildren,” berating the Senate leader for being a coward.
