People are upset, MAD I tells ya! This Hobby Lobby decision by the Supreme Court has people up in arms and they’re looking for a way to vent. So what better place to vent your displeasure than to attack @SCOTUSblog?

Well, I would attack too, except, @SCOTUSblog is not the blog for the Supreme Court. It is in no way affiliated with the United States Supreme Court Justices. @SCOTUSblog is just a blogsite dedicated to reporting on The Supreme Court’s decisions. The site is in no way responsible for the court, its failed justices or the court’s decision.

But don’t tell that to these angry Twitter users. They found the @SCOTUSblog twitter handle and they’re letting them know how disappointed and angry they are with the Hobby Lobby decision. And @SCOTUSblog is having some fun with it!

With a Court Like This, Who Needs Congress?

The Tea Party and most social conservatives can sleep easily throughout the summer now. The two Supreme Court decisions rendered on Monday should delight the right and make the inaction across the street in the Capitol seems like a mere distraction. Like a fly buzzing around the collective government heads. The conservative revolution has been won, and all it took was five justices and very little money.

In the Hobby Lobby case, the court affirmed that not only are corporations people, they also have religious rights that can be exercised on health care issues. Yes, Justice Samuel Alito did say that he didn’t expect the floodgates to open on religious issues, but just look at what the Court’s decision on marriage equality did to even conservative states. Lower courts have run riot over anti-gay marriage laws to the tune of 17 states, many of which are in the most conservative areas of the country. Does Justice Alito really think that lower courts will demure when it comes to challenges on religious grounds? I don’t.

But just as this Court has affirmed the highest aspirations of the conservative movement, and, I’m sure, cemented the idea that Madison, Adams, Jay and Hamilton would have agreed with them, they are just doing what the liberal courts did in the 1950s through 1970s. Remember that the court found a right to privacy in the 1968 Griswold case, and used that right, which appears nowhere in the Constitution, to decide Roe v. Wade. The Warren court did the same with Brown, basing it on previous, smaller cases that affirmed what the justices believed to be correct decisions.

Alito, clearly the more articulate conservative compared to Antonin Scalia, who just wants to rant, also wrote the majority opinion in Harris v. Quinn, the day’s other liberal-bashing case. Here, he and the conservative majority said that some public employees do not have to pay union fees even if they don’t want to actually join the union that represents their field. For example, in New Jersey, public school teachers who don’t join the teacher’s association still have to pay 85% of the association fees because the association represents and negotiates for these teachers. Alito created a new category of worker, a partial public employee who works for both the government and a private person who hired them, and said that this type of employee was exempt from representation fees.

This decision is not major in the sense that it covered a great deal of people, but it does open up the gates to further challenges to unions and laws that require people to pay a representation fee. The next case could give the conservatives an opening to expand the definition to part-timers or support staff or, to be honest, any other public worker. Alito doesn’t like unions. It’s not just the law; it’s personal.

While President Obama and the right wing Republicans duke it out over language and politics, the Supreme Court is moving full steam ahead to craft a country that looks more like 1814 than 2014. The biggest problem, though, is that the former generation had Chielf Justice John Marshall to guide it. We get Alito, Roberts, Scalia and Thomas.

We lose.

I guess Boehner and his Republican followers will add this to their lawsuit against the President. They’re not doing anything, so they’re upset that the President is. Today, our fearless leader ventured out on the White House lawn and told the world the hell with Republicans and their proposed lawsuit. If Congress fails to do what the constitution demands, then he will!

This Masturbating Republican Is Running For Office Because of “Family Values”

His last known offense happened just 3 years ago in 2011, but this career masturbator and Republican wants you to believe that he is a changed man and he wants your vote.

According to multiple police reports from two different states, Jordan D. Haskins, Republican running for the State House in Michigan’s 95th District, began his strange fetish at the age of 15. He is now 24.

Haskins’ fetish involves breaking into parked cars, removing the spark plug cables and masturbating in the vehicles while the engine is running. The sparks from the plugs and the noise of the engine brought the Republican to his climax.

The fetish is known as “cranking,” and Haskins told The Saginaw News he learned of it online and did it because, “I was bored. It was the rush,” he said.

According to North Carolina police reports, Haskins was caught with his package in his hand satisfying his fetish in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He has multiple arrests and probation for his troubles.

But it didn’t stop in 2009. Haskins continued his extracurricular activities when he moved to Michigan. Police reports show the Republican choking his monkey in other people’s vehicles in 2010 and 2011.

He even did it in a parked police vehicle!

But Haskins want you to believe that he is a changed man. He credits his many stints in jail as his turning point.

“It finally woke me up to some things,” Haskins said.

“That isn’t even me anymore. I’m not sure what really changed or what happened. I don’t know what it is about when you get into your 20s. Your chemistry changes. You get wiser and smarter a little bit. That’s what happened to me.”

Haskins is the only Republican running on the ticket. His democratic challenger will be decided in a primary election in August.

Haskins is presently on probation, but probation does not stop the Republican from running. Family values and all.

“I want to be the Republican, the conservative candidate that says, you know, conservatism is for you. Because conservatism, real conservatism, true red-blooded American conservatism is about grit, hard work, loyalty and traditional values. Your family values. The three values that make up my stool of conservatism are faith, family and freedom. And I believe that many of the citizens of Saginaw share those same values.”

Rick Santorum – Restricting Voting Ensured “continuity and stability within the government”

Rick Santorum, who was a Republican presidential candidate in 2012 and a presidential hopeful in 2016, was interview today on C-span and had some rather interesting things to say about voting and who should be allowed to vote.

The discussion focused on voting in Egypt and other places where the people revolted against their tyrannical government. Santorum compared these countries to America, and said that the Founding fathers designed the system in a way that only allowed certain people to vote. He then said that restricting voting was important back then because it “made sure that there was some continuity and stability within the government.”

Said Santorum;

“Were we ready for an election when the United States was formed to have everybody in the United States vote? Well, our Founders didn’t think so. They limited the people who could vote in an election. Now you could say that’s horrible, that’s terrible. Well, maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t. But it was a decision that was made to make sure that there was some continuity and stability within the government.”

Mississippi Blacks are Looking for Payback in Cochran Win

Thad Cochran

The Mississippi Republican was about to lose his seat to a Teapot favorite, so he did the unthinkable and pandered to the black community, normally a strong Democratic voting block, and got them to write his name down on the ballot. Now that he’s won, these Democrats are wondering what exactly will Thad Cochran do for the black community in Mississippi.

Various members of the Congressional Black Caucus that represents a large section of this voting block are already speaking up.

“Absolutely we have expectations,’’ Rep Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio), said in an interview.

“My hat is off to Sen. Cochran for being as desperate as he was, to actually go out and up front got out and ask for those votes,” said Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.). ” Those votes were delivered and I’m hopeful he will be responsible and responsive to the voters that pushed him over the top.”

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) agreed that Cochran has an opportunity to support the black community.

“What I hope happens is that he comes to the realization that African Americans are the reason I have this final six years and therefore I’m going to try and be more responsible than I have been,” Cleaver said.

Their sentiment was echoed around the capitol and in Mississippi following Cochran’s win over tea party favorite Chris McDaniel, fueled by surge in black voters in the Mississippi Delta. Turnout increased overall in Mississippi for the runoff, but counties that are majority black like Jefferson County saw voters came to the polls in record numbers.

But how realistic is it, to expect a Republican to do the right thing? Should these Democrats think that in today’s partisan atmosphere, a Republican would even consider policies that benefit the voters who put him in office? Especially when those voters are Democrats… and black?

These Democrats may be in for a rude awakening. They should have found out what Cochran and his party stood for and the polices he’ll more likely support, before casting their vote.

But then again, the alternative was a Teapot.

David Gregory Parrots Republican Talking Points in Bill Clinton Interview

If you’re still wondering about David Gregory’s politics, then you’re probably the only one left who hasn’t figured it out yet. David Gregory is a Republican and he actively tooting the horn of the Republican party.

Watch what happened last week when Gregory was given the opportunity to interview former President of the United States, Bill Clinton. Instead of being a reporter and sticking to the facts, Gregory decided that this interview would be a perfect time and place to push his Republican talking points.

Hillary Clinton is running for president. Well, she hasn’t made her plans known yet, but she is running. So this interview was a perfect opportunity to hear what Bill had to say about the eventual Hillary candidacy. But instead of asking legitimate questions, Gregory decided to defend the do-nothing Republicans and accused President Obama of not doing enough to get the economy back on track. You know, regular Republican talking point.

The transcript was done by Crooks and liars.

GREGORY: How can a Democratic candidate for president, what challenges would a Democratic candidate for president, face running on the Obama economy?

CLINTON: First of all, that’s not what anybody should do. We should run on making it better. But he didn’t cause the meltdown, they actually say his administration took… stopped it from being worse, and there has been a concerted effort to stop implementing his economic plan in the second term, so none of you have any idea whether it would have worked or not.

GREGORY: But you don’t lay this at Speaker Boehner and the Republicans uniquely, do you? I mean, do you really think it’s their opposition to the president that has forced him to have such impediments to get the economy growing again?

CLINTON: No. We do have… keep in min the average crash takes ten years to get over. Has always. We got the jobs back in about six years. We now have to get the incomes up. I believe, let me just put it this way. I believe that if the two branches had been working smoothly together and taken advantage of this time when interest rates were lower than inflation to cut long term spending liabilities, but invest now in infrastructure, we would be in a lot better shape.

I think median wages would be going up. I think poverty would be going down. That is not what the Republicans believe. The Republicans believe government would always mess up a two car parade unless it’s something they want to spend money on and… in Washington I’m talking about and they’ve just wanted to cut everything and not invest any money in the things that, at least I believe are important. We need to try to get back to working together again.

No, I’m not blaming them entirely… (crosstalk). How can you… you tell me. Mr. McCarthy of California, I like him. The fellow who was just elected to Mr. Cantor’s…

GREGORY: Kevin McCarthy.

CLINTON: Yeah. I like him. Had a great visit with him at the inauguration. So what’s the first thing he does after he becomes the number two guy in the House leadership? What is the very first thing he does?

He changes his position on whether we’re going to fund the export import bank because the conservative populace say of that’s just a Wall Street, crony capitalism deal. That’s not a Wall Street crony capitalism deal. That’s a financing device that allows us to compete with the sixty other countries in the world who are trying to save jobs in their countries and they help finance exports.

Bill Maher Tells Hillary Clinton – “Go Away… For a Couple of Years!”

Bill Maher offered some advise to the potential 2016 Democratic Presidential nominee… Hillary, “just go away!”

Maher spoke of all the mishaps Hillary Clinton had over the last few weeks, from her saying that they were “dead broke” when they left the White House in 2001 to the far from impressive roll-out of her latest book.  And Maher concluded that it would be best for her to just stay out of the public for the next couple years until 2016.

“My advice to Hillary: just go away. Go away for a while. We’re going to see each other in a couple of years, a lot, because otherwise you’re going to blow this,” Maher said.

Mississippi Teaparty Activist Dead from Apparent Suicide

Mark Mayfield, an attorney and tea party activist in Mississippi who was arrested in connection with a scheme to take illicit photographs of Sen. Thad Cochran’s infirm wife, has died of an apparent suicide.

Ridgeland, Miss., police responded to a call from Mayfield’s wife shortly after 9 a.m. Friday, according to a statement from the department. She directed police to a storage room, where they found Mayfield dead of a single gunshot wound to the head.

There was no indication of foul play, and a suicide note was reportedly found near his body.

The photos of Cochran’s wife shook up the Republican Senate primary race shortly before the June 3 election.

Mayfield was arrested May 22 along with Richard Sager and John Mary for their alleged involvement in a plan carried out by a supporter of Cochran’s primary opponent, Chris McDaniel.

Bill Clinton On DICK Cheney – He’s Mad Because Obama is Not Cleaning His Mess Fast Enough

In an interview with David Gregory from MSNBC, former President Bill Clinton hit the nail on the head when he explained why Dick Cheney is so upset with the Obama administration, especially when it comes to the war in Iraq. According to the former president, Cheney is “attacking the administration for not doing an adequate job of cleaning up the mess that he made.”

Gregory: The former vice president Dick Cheney said of President Obama in an op-ed claims that Al-Qaeda is decimated is not true, and in fact is on the march. The argument that America is less safe under President Obama. Do you believe Dick Cheney is a credible critic on these matters?

Clinton: (laughs) If they hadn’t gone to war in Iraq, none of this would be happening.

Gregory: It wouldn’t be happening in Syria. terrorist actors?

Clinton: Well it might be happening in Syria, but what happened in Syria wouldn’t have happened in Iraq. Iraq would not have been in effect drastically altered as it has been, but Mr. Cheney has been incredibly adroit for the last six years or so attacking the administration for not doing an adequate job of cleaning up the mess that he made. And I think it’s unseemly.

And I give President Bush, by the way, a lot of credit for trying to stay out of this debate and letting other people work through it.

So true, so very very true!

REPUBLICANS ARE SICK AND GETTING SICKER.. OR WHY HILLARY NEEDS TO FIND A NEW FAVORITE BOOK

As seen on America The Not So Beautiful

June 27, 2014

By Mike Caccioppoli

Just when you thought Republicans couldn’t get any crazier, any sicker, any more psychotic here are three stories that should send a collective chill down the spine of anyone who still thinks we live in the greatest country in the world. Something that can never be as long as the Republican party exists in its current form.

Jordan Haskins (R) Michigan : This dude is running for the Michigan state legislature. He has served time for breaking into cars and performing a ritual known as “cranking” or “pedal-pumping.” It would seem that consists of breaking into a car and masturbating. Jordan would remove the spark plug wires and sit in the car and masturbate while the motor was sparking and making noises. This according to police reports.

Jordan also broke into the police departments car lot and went joy riding with the cars while jerking off. There is more to this “fetish” that has to do with getting aroused by watching someone struggle to get their car started. Oh yeah baby! Crank that engine! Oh yeah! Slam that gas pedal! Ohhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I mean I have heard of many, many fetishes but not this one. Maybe it’s a Republican fetish. Jordan wants to run for political office and make laws that you and I will have to abide by if we are in Michigan. Think about that. I have a very high tolerance for sexual desires even in politicians, but Jordan is also a criminal and as he states conservatism, real conservatism, true red-blooded American conservatism is about grit, hard work, loyalty and traditional values. Your family values.

My values? Does he mean spewing jizz all over the car steering wheel? No he probably means what most Christian conservatives mean which is that he is anti-gay, anti-choice and wants to take your rights away. It means punishing others for what he believes to have been his “sins.” In other words he is a hypocrite of the highest order.

But wait it gets worse….

Scott Esk (R) Oklahoma : Esk is running for the state legislature as well. He believes thatgays deserve to be stoned to death. He says the Old Testament commands it and that while he wouldn’t go out of his way to write the bill, he would certainly give it a thumbs up. This isn’t a joke folks. He says it is the right of a society to punish its sinners. He’s another guy who wants to make laws that you and I would have to abide by if we were unlucky enough to end up in his state. And boy would we ever be unlucky!

Of course Esk is against the middle east fundamentalists such as the Taliban. Those guys are bad. Christian fundamentalists are all good. No worries. Esk is a psychotic individual. He belongs in treatment and needs to be highly medicated. But in this country he gets to run for political office and may very well win. I believe Esk truly believes this bat crap crazy shit and isn’t just saying it to get votes. Think about that. He TRULY believes it.

Is there ANY other county where someone like this would have any chance at winning public office, or even think about running? As Cenk Uygur says, even the Taliban isn’t this extreme!

When I can actually say that this last guy isn’t quite as bad, that really is saying something about the state of our union.

Timothy Ray Murray (R) Oklahoma : Whatever happened to the days of “Oklahoma!”? Murray who ran for U.S. Congress believes that the guy who beat him, Frank Lucas (R) isactually dead and this dude is a body double! I shit you not. Luckily in this case, Murray was soundly defeated in the primary.

It is widely known Rep. Frank D. Lucas is no longer alive and has been displayed by a look alike. Rep. Lucas’ look alike was depicted as sentenced on a white stage in southern Ukraine on or about Jan. 11, 2011. Murray said in a statement. He went on to say that Lucas and a few other members of Congress were hanged on television by the “World Court.”

Here is another guy who belongs hospitalized. But there he was on a ballot for U.S. Congress. He even got five percent of the vote!

This is your Republican party ladies and gentlemen. It is THE reason why the United States is no longer the best nation in the world. Hasn’t been for a long time. Can’t be as long as this represents one of the two major political parties. It’s impossible.

Which brings me to Hillary Clinton. Why? Because she recently was asked what her favorite book was and she answered, The Bible! I recently told a friend that she really just has to say that because she is running for President of the United States. But you know what, I’ve changed my mind. This is the book that talks about stoning gays to death and other crazy nonsense, if you believe the literal word and many do. You see that people running for political office certainly do.

Enough of the religion shit. It only causes harm. Nothing else. There is a separation of church and state in this country and it’s high time politicians abide by it. Any person who doesn’t should be impeached. I don’t want to hear politicians even talk about God anymore. Enough is enough. Legislation not indoctrination!

If someone like Hillary is going to talk about making this a better country, to go back to being a great country than she better drop her bible and pick up a real book. Otherwise Republican loonies like these will continue to fester and take over.

Our prospects don’t look good.
