But don’t worry, the NRA is making loads of money by pushing their lies that everyone must buy guns and give guns to your kids, because the government is coming to take them away!
A 7-year-old boy in Texas is expected to recover after being shot by his 5-year-old brother while the two were taking a bath together on Tuesday.
Officials with the Houston Police Department said that both boys were in the bathtub when the mother stepped away for a brief time. Investigators believed that the younger boy got out of the bathtub and found a rusty bolt-action .22 caliber rifle and shot his older brother.
As if you didn’t already know this was going to happen. As soon as Charles Ramsey showed his face on television, some in the media started digging, trying to find any and all negative news possible about the new American hero.
Well The Smoking Gun has apparently found what they’ve been looking for. They have issued a report claiming that Charles Ramsey was locked up in the past for spousal abuse.
Ramsey’s first domestic violence charge came in February 1997. He entered a no contest plea a year later and was found guilty of the count by a Cleveland Municipal Court judge. While waiting to be sentenced, Ramsey was again arrested for domestic violence.
At the time of Ramsey’s second collar, in July 1998, he was already the subject of an arrest warrant issued in connection with his failure to appear for a court hearing in the first domestic violence case. As a result, Ramsey was jailed for violating terms of his release on bond. Ramsey subsequently entered a no contest plea to the second case and was, again, found guilty by a Cleveland judge.
The domestic violence cases apparently were consolidated for sentencing in August 1998, when Ramsey was ordered to serve six months in jail, placed on five years probation, and directed to attend a domestic violence counseling program.
Following his release from custody, Ramsey violated probation terms, according to an April 1999 court docket entry. While an arrest warrant was issued for Ramsey, it is unclear from court records whether it was executed before both misdemeanor cases were formally closed several years later.
Remember Sylvia Browne? She is one of the most famous or infamous “psychics” of our time, and she also predicted that Amanda Berry was dead. Of course, we all now know that is not the case, as Amanda herself ran into the arms of a black man earlier this week.
Browne’s prediction about the fate of Amanda Berry was not her first attempt to explain the fate of a child, but her fans on social media demanded acknowledgment from the self-proclaimed spiritual leader.
On Wednesday, Browne released the following through her Facebook page:
For more than 50 years as a spiritual psychic and guide, when called upon to either help authorities with missing person cases or to help families with questions about their loved ones, I have been more right than wrong. If ever there was a time to be grateful and relieved for being mistaken, this is that time. Only God is right all the time. My heart goes out to Amanda Berry, her family, the other victims and their families. I wish you a peaceful recovery.
“I remember you on Montel Williams telling the family of Amanda Berry she was dead,” wrote one commenter on Browne’s Facebook page. “What do you have to say for yourself? What a horrible horrible thing to say to a family holding on to nothing but hope and faith.”
“Can you admit that you’re a hack now?” asked another.
“I hope todays events seal it for you and everyone else who take advantage of those in mourning,” wrote another.
So you still think the Republicans and their NRA buddies have nothing against women? Then explain this! The NRA has endorsed a target in the shape of a woman, and she “bleeds” when she’s shot.
Anti-violence groups blasted the NRA for endorsing a shooting target that lets vengeful gun nuts open fire on a scantily clad “ex-girlfriend” mannequin and make the busty dummy “bleed.”
“This is outrageous and dangerous,” said Laura Cutilletta, a senior staff attorney at the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. “Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women in the United States.”
“This reprehensible product stokes the fire of relationship violence which already claims far too many of our mothers, daughters and sisters,” she said.
The company that sells the lifelike target — called “The Ex” — was a vendor at the National Rifle Association convention over the weekend in Houston, which drew more than 86,000 people.
Zombie Industries succumbed to criticism Tuesday, changing the name of the dummy to “Alexa.”
Ashlee Gurule – allegedly used Pillow to suffocate and stabbed victim
Two young, homeless hookers from New Mexico stabbed a man to death so they could use his car as shelter, police said.
Jennifer McKee, 18, and Ashlee Gurule, 20, allegedly tortured, stabbed and then suffocated Maurice Gonzales, 51, at his Albuquerque home on Friday morning.
They told cops they were “tired of being homeless” and decided they needed a car.
Dumping his lifeless body in the trunk, they then stole his silver Dodge Avenger and drove around looking for somewhere to dispose of his corpse.
Jennifer McKee – Allegedly held victim’s legs while Ashlee killed him.
But the pair — who cops believe were selling sex to the victim — were busted after a high-speed 100mph chase ended in them crashing the vehicle.
Both have been charged with murder.
A criminal complaint, obtained by KRQE , claims Gurule stabbed Gonzales in the neck and chest as McKee held down his legs.
He allegedly begged for his life, offering to give them anything from his apartment if they spared him. But Gurule reportedly then used a pillow to suffocate him.
A third suspect, 16-year-old Julia Martinez, was also in the car during the chase. She now faces a conspiracy charge.
And the insanity continues. A new poll shows that some Democrats, Independents and Republicans out there think an armed revolution is their only way to take back the government. And the insanity continues with the conspiracies surrounding Sandy Hook
Eighteen percent of Democrats said an armed revolt “might be necessary,” as compared to 27 percent of independents and 44 percent of Republicans. Support levels were higher among less educated voters, but similar along gender lines.
It turns out a full quarter of Americans believe the Newtown shooting was a so-called “false flag” operation orchestrated by the government to push stricter gun control.
The poll found that 25 percent of voters believe the American public is being lied to about the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting “in order to advance a political agenda.” An additional 11 percent said they weren’t sure.
The statement “Congress needs to pass new laws to protect the public from gun violence,” was agreed to by 50 percent of Americans. The poll found that 39 percent disagree, and 2 percent were unsure.
You know what’s great? Dancing. Chimichangas. Floating on your back in a pool on a cloudless summer evening, when the sky turns from blue to pink and gold and burnt orange. Puppies wearing sweaters. Cold beer. A full season of your favorite TV show. Notably absent from this list? How about snorting a condom.
The “condom challenge” could suggest a number of potentially fun and intriguing feats, but, alas, it means nothing more than snorting a clean condom up one’s nose and pulling it out through one’s mouth, then posting a video on YouTube for all the world to see.
But while the trend has gained a lot of online traction this month, it’s actually been around for years. [A Note on the Obvious: The videos I’m linking to are of young people snorting condoms through their noses. If this is something you do not want to see, do not click on them.] This video, for example, was uploaded in June of 2007. The trend is also not exclusive to the U.S. by any means. Here are two girls from the U.K. participating in the challenge.
“We’re happy free confused and lonely at the same time / It’s miserable and magical oh yeah / Tonight’s the night when we forget about the deadlines, it’s time uh uh / I don’t know about you but im feeling 22.”
In the video, the young woman unwraps the condom, marveling at its ability to stretch. Then, cautiously she sticks the end of the condom into her nose, her eyes fixed on some far-off point. “This feels so weird,” she says. She takes a tentative sniff, then another, the latex sliding up with surprising ease. At first, she’s concerned. “Maybe I shouldn’t be doi–” But the moment is fleeting. The camera looks on, an unblinking eye, as she relaxes and snorts the filmy latex sleeve up her nasal cavity. It tastes of plastic, of spermicide. It tastes like page views. But then — whoa. The thing slides down, into her mouth. She says she feels a brief tinge of fear, a cold sweat forming at the base of her neck, threatening to curl the hair she’d meticulously ironed before setting up her laptop camera. But the mind is a beautiful thing, capable of more than we can ever hope. It “blanks at the glare,” and with sightless eyes and muted tongue, she snorts, harder, and then… And then it’s done. She’s done it.
So, anyway.
Like the cinnamon challenge and the knife game before it, the condom challenge is best left to no one. Or perhaps seasoned carnival performers. Of course, if you want to get in on the trend and , you know, risk death in the process, you can always film a reaction video.
Katrina Tisdale (pictured) was arrested and charged on Monday with misusing 911, when she reportedly called twice so she could get a refund from her drug dealer, reports the Smoking Gun.
When St. Petersburg, Fla., resident allegedly purchased drugs from her unnamed female drug dealer, she spent her last $50 on cocaine and marijuana only to realize that she’d be penniless until her next social security disability check arrived.
According to published reports, Tisdale tried to get her last $50 back, but was entirely unsuccessful, so she allegedly resorted to calling police to see if they could exercise some form of bully tactics to get her money back.
But when Tisdale revealed her whereabouts to the 911 dispatcher, officers arrived at her location and put cuffs on her. The 47-year-old woman was then taken to the Pinellas County jail, where she is currently being held on a $100 bond.
Meanwhile, Tisdale’s latest scrape with the law isn’t the first. She has been arrested on numerous occasions over the last few years, with six of them being cocaine possession-related.
Apparently, Tisdale has a peculiar affinity for using 911 to report incidents that could be categorized as idiotic. Case in point, in a mid-2011 conviction, she told police that she had been robbed by her drug dealer.
A man in Michigan convicted of having sex with his pet pit bull faces a 15-year jail sentence for the crime. 37-year-old Kurtis Peterson, who was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in 1996, was caught having sex with the dog on two separate occasions. The same (unfortunate) person caught Peterson each time.
In April 2010, Joyce Yeaw, who was attempting to return keys she’d borrowed from Peterson’s roommate, caught a naked Peterson having sex with his dog on his bed. She called police but, somehow, Peterson was able to convince her or the responding officer that he was “just hugging his dog,” and no arrest was made. Then, two months later Yeaw again walked in on Peterson mid-dog sex, this time on his living room floor. She called the police again and Peterson was arrested.
“He was having sex with the dog, it was disgusting,” Yeaw said of the encounter.
In his courtroom testimony, Peterson admitted to being “sexually aroused from accidental contact with the animal’s rear,” but claims that occurred as he was “just playing with the dog.”
He was sentenced on Monday to one to 15 years in prison. Judge Timothy Hicks went above state sentencing guidelines in his ruling, say Peterson posed a high risk of reoffending. “I fear for what he might do in the community,” the judge said.
Four female correction officers were impregnated by the reported leader of a Maryland prison gang, which used a network of female prison guards to help launder money, run drugs and smuggle contraband into state detention facilities, according to a federal indictment.
One of the guards was twice impregnated by Tavon White, identified in court papers as the alleged leader of the Black Guerilla Family.
Two of the female correction officers tattooed “Tavon” on their bodies, one on her neck and another on the wrist, according to the indictment.
In one incident, one guard kept watch over a closet, in which White and another guard had sex, according to authorities.
Thirteen female and two male prison guards are facing federal corruption charges following a months long investigation into corruption and conspiracy at Maryland’s correctional facilities.
The indictment portrays a prison system run by inmates, including members of the Black Guerilla Family gang.
On Monday, a Redditor using the name “Menagerii” made office workers around the Internet drool after posting a picture of what she said was the cash she made in one day’s stripping. The photo, posted to the r/pics subreddit, was captioned, “From now on when people ask me why I’m a stripper, I’m just going to show them this picture (one day of work- 1130am to 3am).”
Redditors counting at home soon realized the tips totaled over $3,000. MSN claims the number is actually $3,445. Although this is about twice what Menagerii said she normally takes in, $1,500 a night (give or take) isn’t anything to sneeze at, either.
The tantalizing stack of bills was earned during a 15-plus hour shift at an all-nude joint in Atlanta, according to Menagerii. Over the course of the day, Menagerii said she had “30 or so table dances and five stage sets.” A stripper for four years, she also revealed she has implants (“went from a 32b to a 32d”), a six pack and is working to put herself through engineering school.
While impossible to substantiate independently, Menagerii has written about her experiences as a stripper before. Last month, she hosted an Ask Me Anything on Reddit in which she spilled other tips and tricks of her trade.
