Caught on Tape: Man Tries to Burn Wife in Motor Home

A Washington state man is accused of trying to kill his wife and father-in-law by setting their motor home on fire while they were inside.

The Olympian reported that 32-year-old Joshua Ford has been charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of first-degree arson after being arrested Saturday night in Rainier, Washington.

Ford is accused of locking his wife, who has not been identified, and his father-in-law, Ricky Luppino, inside the motor home after an argument before trying to set the vehicle on fire.

“He said he was gonna kill us, me and my daughter both” Luppino told KIRO-TV. ”

KIRO aired video showing Ford pulling a 5-gallon can of gasoline out of another vehicle, then kicking the door to lock it from the outside before pouring the gasoline onto the motor home and setting it on fire, resulting in a fireball emanating from the front of his relatives’ vehicle.

Ford can then be seen walking back toward the RV’s door and saying, according to Luppino, “I hope you both die.”

Luppino escaped through a window at the front of the vehicle and opened the door, allowing his daughter to follow suit.

Houston Cops Arrested Black Dance Instructors Because They Had a White Student

Did Houston police illegally arrest three teens? Landry Thompson is 13 years old, white, and a dancer. She was traveling from her home in Oklahoma to Houston, Texas, with her dance instructors, who are both Black.

Thompson’s mother had given them a signed and notarized letter giving full guardianship and custody to dance instructor Emmanuel Hurd, for their trip to meet with other dance teachers. But Houston police managed to handcuff the teens and wrest the girl from her guardian — and hand her over to Child Protective Services.

Hurd told KHOU that the three dancers where parked at a gas station, and “were on the GPS trying to figure out where the hotel was.” That’s when the cops “just pulled us out of the car and put our hands behind our backs like we were criminals.”

“The officer asked me ‘who’s the girl?’ and I said ‘she’s my student,’” Hurd says. “I told him I had a notarized letter from her parents stating that we have full guardianship over her while we’re here.”

Not only did Houston police detain and handcuff Thompson and Hurd, but they removed the teenaged girl from her guardian and gave her to local Child Protective Services. Police “put handcuffs on me and it really scared me,” Thompson says. “And they put me in the back of a cop car and I was terrified.”

Cops initially demanded Thompson’s mother travel from Oklahoma to Houston to retrieve her child, but later allowed her to be released back in Hurd’s custody.

“She was with the people I wanted her to be with,” Destiny Thompson says. “She was with people I trusted. And now she was taken away from those people and in a shelter with people I didn’t know.”

Today in Racism – Arrested For Standing Black in Rochester New York

In a very affluent neighborhood, school children waiting for the bus is still profiled and arrested… if they are black. That is apparently what happened to three members of the Edison Technical High School basket ball team in Rochester New York, as they stood waiting for a bus.

Main Street merchants have long been clamoring for the police to keep young blacks off of the street and this appears to be part of that campaign.

Police, acting on a complaint from a merchant who has a history of these kinds of complaints, charge that they were obstructing the street and loitering at a location where there is a bus shelter and bus stop. The boys maintain that they were doing nothing wrong and were only waiting for the bus as instructed.

Their coach, Jacob Scott who is also the guidance counselor, says that they are all good students who have never been in any trouble. He says that he informed the officer that he was supervising them and they were waiting for a bus — at which time the officer told him that if he didn’t leave he too would be arrested.

Scott said, “He goes on to say, ‘If you don’t disperse, you’re going to get booked as well.’ I said, ‘Sir, I’m the adult. I’m their varsity basketball coach. How can you book me? What am I doing wrong? Matter of fact, what are these guys doing wrong?’”

The officer, backed up by his sergeant, said that if he had a big enough vehicle he would arrest them all.

School board member Mary Adams appeared at the arraignment and said, “I think the charges should be immediately dropped and I think the district attorney’s office should be stepping in an looking at these kinds of matters.”

The parents of the three arrested had to post $200 bail in order to have their sons home for Thanksgiving dinner and they will appear in court again on December 11.

Illegal Immigrant Kills Cellmate to Avoid Deportation

Arizona authorities say a prison inmate who was in the U.S. illegally killed his cellmate because he wanted to remain behind bars.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office has recommended that prosecutors charge 43-year-old Roberto Venegas-Fernandez with first-degree murder in the November 16 killing of 55-year-old Michael Patrick McNaughton

Both men were prisoners of the U.S. Marshals Service, which has said they were from the San Diego area and housed at a Corrections Corp. of America prison in Florence pending their transfer to the Bureau of Prisons.

Sheriff Paul Babeu said Venegas-Fernandez told investigators that he choked and stomped McNaughton because he likes it in prison and was afraid of being released since he has nowhere to go.

McNaughton’s death was initially believed to have resulted from a jailhouse fight, but Fernandez later told investigators that he choked his cellmate while he was sitting on his bunk.

The 43-year-old Mexican national, who is an undocumented immigrant, then stomped on McNaughton’s head and bit him in the groin, telling officials he did all that so he could remain in prison, CBS5AZ.com reported.

Alec Baldwin Either Quit MSNBC, Or Alec Baldwin Was Fired by MSNBC

No one really knows for sure, but Baldwin’s Up Late almost 2 months rondavous with the cable news network is up.

The show, “Up Late,” launched in October and featured Baldwin talking softly with various guests — ranging from politicians to actors.

But behind the scenes, there were clashes between staffers on the show and the anger-prone actor.

“Both sides seemed to not be able to work with each other,” an insider said.

“He told them he didn’t want to work on the show and they said well, we don’t want you working on it,” a source close to the situation said.

Baldwin has been fuming over how MSNBC suspended his program on the heels of his latest public outburst, while tensions between the actor and staffers on the show have been growing steadily since its October debut.

One meltdown at MSNBC allegedly included demands for a personal humidifier and his own makeup room because a woman he would have been sharing it with has cancer and a sensitivity to hairspray.

An insider blasted the allegation as “completely false and coming from someone who is now upset that their job is in jeopardy because the show is not continuing.”

Network officials put Baldwin on ice almost two weeks ago after he lashed out at photographer in Manhattan, allegedly calling him a “c–ksucking f-g.”

When the video of the incident went viral on TMZ, the actor then insisted he actually called the photographer a “c–ksucking fathead.”

Publicly, both sides are claiming the severing of ties was mutual.

“We are jointly confirming that ‘Up Late’ will not continue on MSNBC,” a rep for the actor told The News.

“This is a mutual parting, and we wish Alec all the best,” said a rep for the network.

Rush Limbaugh’s Sick Logic – Compares Changing Filibuster Rules to Raping Women

Here we go again.

Responding to the recent Nuclear Option used by Democrats to put a stop the some of the Republicans’ record breaking filibuster marathon, Rush Limbaugh resorted to what he knows best in attempting to explain the process to his audience. Limbaugh’s way of explaining the rules change to his low information listeners, was to compare the change to raping women.

 Let’s forget the Senate for a minute. Let’s say, let’s take 10 people in a room and they’re a group. And the room is made up of six men and four women. OK? The group has a rule that the men cannot rape the women. The group also has a rule that says any rule that will be changed must require six votes, of the 10, to change the rule. Every now and then, some lunatic in the group proposes to change the rule to allow women to be raped. But they never were able to get six votes for it. There were always the four women voting against it and they always found two guys.

Well, the guy that kept proposing that women be raped finally got tired of it, and he was in the majority and he was one that [said], ‘You know what? We’re going to change the rule. Now all we need is five.” And well, ‘you can’t do that.’ ‘Yes we are. We’re the majority. We’re changing the rule.’ And then they vote. Can the women be raped? Well, all it would take then is half of the room. You can change the rule to say three. You can change the rule to say three people want it, it’s going to happen. There’s no rule. When the majority can change the rules there aren’t any.

He couldn’t tell then the truth, so he uses language his listeners are sure to understand.

Rev Al Sharpton Calls ‘Knockout’ Game “Deplorable and Must Be Condemned By All”

They think it’s fun. They sneak up on an unsuspecting victim minding his or her own business and swing on said victim as hard as possible, hoping for a knockout. This sick game is quickly becoming the thing do for today’s young people and it is catching the eyes of those in the media.

Today, Rev Al Sharpton had a few words on the “knockout” phenomenon sweeping the nation.

“This kind of behavior is deplorable and must be condemned by all us,” he said at his weekly National Action Network meeting in Harlem. “We would not be silent if it was the other way around. We cannot be silent or in any way reluctant to confront it when it is coming from our own community.”

On Monday, Sharpton and other leaders plan to discuss a “next move.”

“Kids are randomly knocking out people [from] another race — some specifically going at Jewish people,” he said. “This kind of insane thuggery — there is nothing cute about that. There is no game play about knocking somebody out, and it is not a game. It is an assault and is bias, and it is wrong.”

Critics of Sharpton suggested he could do more, but acknowledged his words as a “good start.”

“I would never condone what he did,” said Councilman Mike Nelson, referring to the incendiary language Sharpton used during the Crown Heights riots in 1991. “But if he wants to move forward, then we should move forward with him and quell any racial tensions.”

But people are not just sitting back waiting to be attacked. In Lansing, Michigan, seventeen year-old Marvell Weaver saw who he thought would be a perfect victim. He approached the man and was shot two times as his victim fought back to protect himself.

Weaver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He was charged with felony assault.

Weaver wrote a letter to his intended victim, apologizing for what happened. “I don’t blame you for what you did,” Weaver wrote. “You were only trying to protect yourself. I only wish I could go back to change it to were (sic) I never did it.”

This Woman Wants to Sell Her Virginity To The Highest Bidder

A 21-year-old Brazilian woman who auctioned off her virginity online for $780,000 last year now says she wants to sell it again as the deal was never consummated.

In October last year, Catarina Migliorini took part in an online auction as part of the “Virgins Wanted” documentary organised by Australian filmmaker Justin Sisely.

A Japanese identified only as Natsu beat out competition from 14 other men, mainly from Brazil, but also from India, Australia and the United States.

But in a video, Miss Migliorini now insists: “I am still a virgin in every sense of the word and no one can prove me wrong.”

The young woman, who posed nude next to a pink teddy bear in Playboy magazine, opened her own website to hold a second sale of her virginity to the highest bidder.

“I decided to open my own webpage to auction off my virginity and this time it will be for real. So those interested, men or women, can make their bids,” she said.

She told the Brazilian showbiz website Pure People that she hopes to bring in at least $680,000.

On Natsu, she said she met him in a restaurant in Sydney.

“He was not a 53-year-old man as Justin (Sisely) claimed,” she said. “He was a 21-year-old Japanese. I was surprised and no deal was struck between him and I.”

She added that she will give details of the failed transaction in an forthcoming book.

It was not clear whether Miss Migliorini ever received any money from Natsu.

Meanwhile Miss Migliorini’s mother, Mary, said she was “flabbergasted” by her daughter’s decision.

“I don’t approve but I won’t stop loving her. I love my daughter unconditionally … But I don’t get this,” she added

Right-Wing Nut Writes – “We now have authority to shoot Obama, i.e., to kill him.”

Larry Klayman was recently the topic of one of Chris Matthews segments on Hardball. Klayman is no stranger to hate for President Obama, and recently told a group of Teaparty protesters in Washington that President Obama should “surrender and come out with his hands in the air.”

Klayman, and others like him, use eliminationist rhetoric with no regard for who they might inspire. Here’s apost from Facebook taking Klayman a few giant steps further (and yes, the Secret Service is on it). It says, in part:

We now have authority to shoot Obama, i.e., to kill him. His willful violations and alienation of our Constitution, constant disregard for our peaceful protests and corruption of all the three branches of government, (i.e., rogue and illegitiimate government), reveal the dictator that he is.

This isn’t the first assassination threat posted on social media and it won’t be the last. Mr. Wilhelmsen is a militia man, a self-proclaimed good Christian who is standing up for his country while he calls for the assassination of our President just days ahead of the 50-year observance of the anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s assassination.

I get the first amendment, free speech, yea I get it. But when a nut is inciting other nuts to “kill” the president, then that nut has clearly crossed the line and has given up his freedom.

Again, the Secret Service is on it.

6 “Knockout”-Style Attacks Hit The City

Medical researcher Lawrence Hsieh, schooled in Taekwondo, didn’t have time to defend himself when a kid KO’ed him on Church Street in one of six assaults in two days that appear to mimic a violent game hitting the East Coast. 

Walking on the overpass between North and South Frontage at 5:30 p.m., Hsieh (pictured above) encountered a group of three young men. Without warning, one approached him and sucker-punched him in the nose, knocking Hsieh to the ground. The assailant and his buddies took off down the street, laughing.

“The whole ordeal was over in 30 seconds,” said Hsieh, who may have broken his nose as a result.

Hseih’s attacker was following the script of the so-called “Knockout Game,” which consists of punching random strangers. To become a “Knockout King,” the player must bring his target to the ground with one jab.

The game has been reported in recent days in several East Coast cities, including New York, New Jersey, and Washington D. C. Incidents date back to 2011.

Online Video Game Simulates The Sandy Hook Massacre

In an online video game, players follow shooter Adam Lanza’s footsteps the day of the Sandy Hook Elementary school mass shooting.

Called “The Slaying of Sandy Hook Elementary School,” the widely condemned simulation takes players through the shootings of 26 children and adults before it shows their “score”:

Game creator Ryan Jake Lambourn claims it has a “gun safety” message, but activists against gun violence are baffled and disgusted by the game. The family of Victoria Soto, a murdered Newtown teacher, took their outrage to Twitter, telling Lambourn, “Please tell us how playing a game that recreates how Vicki died would be beneficial?”

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) told the Hartford Courant he hopes the “very disturbed person who could think of something like this sees the cruelty of what he’s done and stops it.”

Post-Newtown, the National Rifle Association faulted video games and media, not guns, in its wide cast for blame. But the NRA is not above using controversial shooting games when it can profit from them. One month after the tragedy, the NRA released a game with coffin-shaped targets to promote gun ownership.
