Rachel Maddow’s Urgent Plea – Whatever you do, “don’t get this thing”

Rachel Maddow did her show from her home on Thursday and explained why she was missing for the last few weeks. The emotional MSNBC host explained that her partner of 21 years, Susan Mikula, tested positive for Covid-19 and almost died from the illness. Maddow pleaded with everyone to do whatever you have to do to keep safe, “don’t get this thing.”

“Don’t get this thing. Do whatever you can to keep from getting it,” she said. “For Thanksgiving next week, you really are going to have to just have it at home without people coming over. And yeah, it’s going to suck, but that’s going to suck so much less than you or somebody in your family getting this and getting sick. Trust me.”

Poll: More Americans “Happier” with Trump’s Lost than Biden Win

We couldn’t take the nonsense anymore. It’s like the nation just woke up and decided that anyone would be better than the current occupant of the White House.

About one-third of respondents, 34 percent, said they were happy about Trump’s loss, compared to 25 percent who said they were happy about Biden’s victory. However, when the sentiment was expanded to happy or “satisfied,” the percentages were nearly the same, with 52 percent saying they were happy or satisfied with Trump’s loss and 51 percent saying they were happy or satisfied with Biden’s win.

People who voted for Biden were also more likely to be happy Trump lost (73 percent) than happy Biden won (57 percent). Twenty-six percent of Trump voters said they were angry Trump lost, compared to 36 percent who were angry Biden won.

We’ve Hit the Highest Daily Coronavirus Death Rate Recorded So Far

Donald Trump lied to us again!

Remember when he promised that after the elections we would all stop taking about Coronavirus? Well, we still are talking. Why? Because the Coronavirus is worse now than it’s ever been. The latest data shows the highest daily death total seen in this country with 1707 deaths recorded in one day!

At this rate, coronavirus is killing at least one American every minute of the day.

At least 1,707 new Covid-19 deaths were reported Tuesday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. That’s the highest daily death toll since May 14.

And it’s only going to get worse, said Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a professor at George Washington University School of Medicine.
“The horrible death count that we saw yesterday in the United States … reflects the number of people who were being infected three weeks ago — two to three weeks ago, because that’s the lag,” Reiner said Wednesday.

“On average, two to three weeks ago, we were seeing 70,000 to 80,000 (new) cases per day. Yesterday, there were about 155,000 (new) cases. So if you’re alarmed at the 1,700 deaths today, two to three weeks from now, we’re going to see 3,000 deaths a day.”

Trump Fires Official for telling the truth

To all the Christian conservatives supporting Donald Trump and his sharade,  do you still believe the Bible that “the truth shall set you free”, or do you believe your dear leader that telling the truth should lead to your demise?

Over night, your dear leader fired an official whose job was to guarantee the security of the election, simply because the official said the 2020 presidential election was safe.

President Donald Trump has fired the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, after the agency spent weeks debunking election fraud claims on its “Rumor Control” page. Chris Krebs led the agency as its first director after Trump nominated him for the role in February 2018.

During that time, CISA had been responsible for coordinating election security among officials in all 50 states, focusing on improvements at the local and county level. That’s included measures like installing sensors in county election networks to detect potential cyberattacks and hosting virtual rooms to share information about threats.

Donald Trump is Sabotaging Covid Vaccine’s Rollout

President Donald Trump’s refusal to coordinate with President-elect Joe Biden on the critical Covid-19 vaccine is bringing a staggering possibility into clearer view: that an outgoing US commander in chief is actively working to sabotage his successor.

Trump’s denial of his election defeat, his lies about nonexistent mass coordinated voter fraud and his strangling of the rituals of transferring power between administrations are not just democracy-damaging aberrations.

Given the current national emergency, they threaten to cause practical fallout that could damage Biden’s incoming White House not just in a political sense. There are increasing concerns that Trump’s obstruction will slow and complicate the delivery of the vaccine that brings the tantalizing prospect of a return to normal life amid stunning news from trials showing doses are effective in stopping more than 90% of coronavirus infections.

Ironic – Kayleigh McEnany Blast Democrats for Questioning 2016 Election Results

What was right for the Republicans in 2016 is now wrong for Democrats in 2020.

Back in 2016, Republicans peppered the airways to proclaim Donald Trump as the winner of the 2016 presidential election, and they called out Democrats as undemocratic for questioning Trump’s win.

Kayleigh McEnany, Trump’s current White House spokesperson, was a regular on CNN and other networks blasting Democrats for ‘delegitimizing’ and not accepting the outcome of the election. Amazingly, she is now one of the main Republican leaders questioning and delegitimizing the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

She even praised then President Barack Obama as being “gracious” in Clinton’s 2016 defeat.

Dr. Fauci Says Trump Hasn’t attended a Coronavirus Meeting in “Several Months”

Confirms what we already know. Donald Trump has better things to take care of than worrying about the health of the American people. If they die, they die. Instead, Donald Trump is working on self preservation and trying to win an election he’s already lost.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, revealed on Sunday morning that President Donald Trump hasn’t attended a White House coronavirus task force meeting in “several months,” adding that “it would be better” if he could start working with President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team on the public health response to the pandemic.

During an interview on CNN’s State of the Union, Fauci expressed cautious optimism about the impact that incoming vaccines could have on the raging crisis, saying we could see the nation start a return to normalcy by the second quarter of next year. At the same time, he said that “it is possible” that there could be another 200,000 American deaths over the next few months.

Trump Finally Admits… ‘Biden Won’ the presidential election

It never is that simple with Trump. Although he finally publicly proclaimed that Joe Biden won the presidential election, he followed up his statement with more lies and misleading information.

The president’s comments, made in a seemingly offhand post on social media, come as his campaign continues to challenge the results of the election in court and as his administration holds up formal transition processes.

In subsequent tweets, Trump wrote that he would not concede.

The ostensible acknowledgement of defeat came on Twitter, in response to a post by the Fox News show “Watters’ World” that suggested that Biden “didn’t earn” the presidency.

“He won because the Election was Rigged,” Trump wrote, repeating an allegation that has been debunked by election officials around the country and his own Department of Homeland Security.

Shortly after writing that Biden had won, though, Trump wrote in another post that he conceded “NOTHING” and claimed that “WE WILL WIN!”

“He only won in the eyes of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA,” Trump wrote.

Trump Could Face Criminal Prosecution When He Leaves Office

It is now apparent that Donald Trump cannot count. He somehow thinks his 214 Electoral votes is more than Biden’s 290, and thus, makes him the winner. But there may be another reason why Trump wants to hold on to the Oval Office… a prison jumpsuit could be in his near future.

Yahoo News is reporting that when he leaves the White House in January, he will also lose the constitutional protection from prosecution afforded to a sitting president.

After Jan. 20, Trump, who has refused to concede and is fighting to hold onto his office, will be more vulnerable than ever to a pending grand jury investigation by the Manhattan district attorney into the president’s family business and its practices, as well as his taxes.

The two-year inquiry, the only known active criminal investigation of Trump, has been stalled since last fall, when the president sued to block a subpoena for his tax returns and other records, a bitter dispute that for the second time is before the U.S. Supreme Court. A ruling is expected soon.

Trump has contended that the investigation by the district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., a Democrat, is a politically motivated fishing expedition. But if the Supreme Court rules that Vance is entitled to the records, and he uncovers possible crimes, Trump could face a reckoning with law enforcement — further inflaming political tensions and raising the startling specter of a criminal conviction, or even prison, for a former president.

“He’ll never have more protection from Vance than he has right now,” said Stephen I. Vladeck, a law professor at the University of Texas.
