Lawyer Says LI Housekeeper Who Allegedly Killed Infant was Raped

A lawyer for the Long Island live-in housekeeper accused of killing her newborn baby and throwing the body in the trash says the infant was the result of a rape, and had been born stillborn and premature. 

Santos Elena Ruiz Solano, the 26-year-old housekeeper who lived in her employer’s West Islip home, was arraigned on second degree murder charges yesterday after prosecutors accused her of fatally fracturing the infant’s skull, putting the body in a plastic bag and throwing it in a garbage can. Ruiz Solano, a native of Honduras, plead not guilty, andaccording to attorney Michael Brown, she was raped en route to the United States seven months ago. “She is a mother who gave birth to a stillborn baby. She’s traumatized,” he said. “But now she is facing the hammer of the criminal justice system. “

Medica examiners say the infant was born alive, and the bodily trauma it suffered indicated a significant force. “The baby had three skull fractures that would have been caused by at least one impact,” prosecutor Glenn Kurtzrock said yesterday. “It would not have been caused by the baby simply falling or being dropped out of someone’s arms.”

According to prosecutors, Ruiz Solano gave birth on Sunday in the bathroom of her employer’s home; she allegedly called her husband to take her to the hospital soon after, and gave him a plastic bag with the infant’s body, which he then threw out unknowingly. He reportedly told officials he did not know his wife was pregnant; she has two children at home in Honduras.

Ruiz Solano is being held without bail.

The Dramatic Moment When a Woman Pulled Over to Give Her Nephew CPR

As her nephew started turning blue, Pamela Rauseo panicked.

She didn’t want anything bad to happen to 5-month-old Sebastian de la Cruz, who was born premature and with respiratory issues. So Rauseo stopped her SUV along Miami’s Dolphin Expressway Thursday and screamed for help.

She started giving the baby CPR.

Rauseo hadn’t performed CPR in years.

“I don’t know how I remembered what to do … I just knew I couldn’t let him die,” she told ABC News.

With traffic at a standstill, fellow drivers began to help. Lucila Godoy left her own son in the car to assist in CPR and comfort Rauseo. Miami Herald photographer Al Diaz ran through lanes of traffic to alert police officers before capturing the tense scene.

Officer Amauris Bastidas arrived, helping as Rauseo twice got the baby breathing again.

Rescue crews took Sebastian to the hospital. He was photographed later that day in his mother Paola’s arms, smiling, the color returned to his face.

Rauseo, 37, works in interior design. She runs Round321, a company dedicated to designing innovative and unique pieces for parents and children. One of her room designs is called “Sebastian’s Circus” and features stylized elephants and a play tent.

8-Year-Old African American, Shot By White Neighbor, Beginning To Recover

 

Donald Maiden Jr., known to family and friends as D.J., was playing tag outside of his home in Dallas. That’s when 46-year-old Brian Cloninger, shot the youth in the face. Cloninger told police that he shot the boy simply because “he wanted to.”

Donald has spent several weeks in the hospital hooked up to life support machines and breathing tubes. He had a metal plate and wire mesh holding his jaw together.

But now, months later D.J.’s mother, Monique Locklin says he is doing “much better.”

Donald still has a tracheotomy tube in his neck to help with breathing. He has continued reconstructive surgery scheduled for March 10th. But considering what he’s been through, his recovery is remarkable.

“He goes to school, he still plays outside,” his mother said. “Light playing, but he still does everything pretty normally like he would before. As his face enhances he’ll have to keep on getting it fixed.”

But beyond the physical scares, Donald has been severely psychologically impacted by the hate crime.

“He’s afraid,” D.J.’s mother explained, that once Cloninger gets out of jail he will come after him and will hurt him or “hurt somebody else.

“He has nightmares almost every night. He won’t sleep alone, and he wakes up almost every night crying because he has nightmares.”

As for Cloninger, D.J.’s mother explained, “I just want to see him get punished to the maximum, and I just want justice for what he did, because it really was unnecessary and just cruel. I don’t want him to be able to be free so he could do that to someone else.”

Georgia Men Arrested After Rape, Burning, Shooting Of Woman

Three men in Georgia are facing a number of charges after a 36-year-old woman survived a brutal attack from the group that involved rape, burning and a shooting. The woman was found in a vacant lot on New Year’s Day (January 1) and has since undergone hours of treatment for her injuries.

Police in the town of Columbus, some 100 miles southwest of Atlanta, say that the men, Joey Betrail Garron, 28, Robert Carl Johnson, 23, and Ketorie Glover, 23, all hailing from the town, came to approach their victim in a bizarre fashion. According to the investigation, the victim was at a New Year’s Eve party where she was part of a rap battle with a group of men outside the home  that got heated. The Ledger-Enquirer has more.

From the Ledger-Enquirer:

Subsequent investigation discovered that the victim, 36, had been to a party at a house located on Garden Drive. There, outside the house, she became engaged in a spirited rap contest with some men. At some point, the exchange became heated and one of the men produced a handgun and forced the victim inside of her vehicle.

Two other men, one of whom was also armed, joined them in the car. The woman was driven to a vacant lot located at 988 Farr Rd. At that location, police say, all three men sexually assaulted her.

The woman’s vehicle and the woman were doused with gasoline and set on fire. She was also shot several times.

Police Lt. John McMichael said in a news release Sunday (February 16) morning that the men face felony charges of aggravated assault, rape, kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, arson first degree, hijacking a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

A police sergeant would not elaborate on how they came to identify and arrest the men, but did say there is more investigating to be done in the case. The cops didn’t confirm if the rap battle was connected to the assault of the victim.

Garron and Johnson have already appeared in Columbus Recorder’s Court and their cases were sent to the state’s Superior Court. Glover appeared in court yesterday (February 17) morning.

This Teenager Kills Himself After His Favorite Cartoon Character died

Leonid Hmelev, 14, jumped to his death from an apartment block after his favourite TV character died

A 14-year-old boy leapt more than 100ft to his death from the top of an apartment block in Chaikovsky, Russia, after seeing his favourite manga character killed in a cartoon.

Police say Leonid Hmelev died instantly.

The boy was reportedly devastated after seeing the death of the character Itachi Uchiha in the animated movie ‘Naruto – Hurricane Chronicle’.

He left home after posting a message on a social networking site saying he was also ‘planning an ending’.

His worried parents raised the alarm after he did not return home and a search was organised together with neighbours.

After being missing for two days his body was found yesterday and he was identified by his devastated father Ivan, 38.

He said: ‘I always told him he spent too much time watching the TV – he didn’t know what was reality and what was fiction anymore.’

Teenage suicide in Russia is endemic. It has the third-highest teenage suicide rate in the world, just behind its neighbours Belarus and Kazakhstan and more than three times that of the United States. 

On an average day, about five Russians younger than 20 kill themselves.

Psychiatrists and health experts in Russia blame alcohol abuse, domestic violence, rigid rules and high expectations from parents.

Itachi Uchiha is a character in the popular Naruto comics and animated TV series. He is treated as an antagonist for much of the series, but was much-loved by Japanese TV and comic enthusiasts.

Chaikovsky is a town in Perm Krai, Russia. It is named after the composer Tchaikovsky, who was born in nearby Votkinsk.

Craigslist Murder: Real Life ‘Dexter’ Claims More than 22 Satanic Murders


It’s insane, scary and believable … a 19-year-old girl admits to not only killing a guy who hired her for sex on Craigslist, she says she killed so many others, “When I hit 22, I stopped counting.”

Miranda Barbour is in a Pennsylvania jail, awaiting trial for allegedly stabbing Troy LaFerrara 20 times, because she tested him and said she was only 16 and he responded by saying he’d still have sex with her.  And — as a molestation victim herself — that set her off.

Barbour said in a jailhouse interview over the weekend she’s been killing people since she was 13.  She insists she only kills bad people, claiming, “I did this to people who did bad things and didn’t deserve to be here anymore.”

In an interview with the Daily Item … Barbour says the first murder coincides with joining a satanic cult in Alaska.

As for the LaFerrara murder, Barbour says she and her husband of 3 weeks killed him in their car.

Barbour says she has no remorse but does not want to be sprung from jail because, “If I were to be released I would do this again.”

10-Year-Old Steals Car, Crashes It & Tells Police He’s A Dwarf (DETAILS)

There’s a kid in Dokka, Norway who is taking this lying thing to levels we never expected from a 10-year-old.The boy, who has not been named, stole his parents’ vehicle while they were sleeping, crashed it into a snowy ditch, and told police that he was a dwarf who forgot his license.

Really, dude?

According to the Daily Mail:

The boy – who lives near Dokka, a town 110kms (68 miles) north of Oslo – put his 18-month old sister into the car sometime before 6am, while his parents were still sleeping and set off to visit his grandparents in Valdres, about 60 kilometers away.

“The parents woke up and discovered that the children were missing and that someone had taken off with their car. They were pretty upset, as you can imagine,” said Baard Christiansen, a spokesman for the Vest Oppland police district.

When authorities finally found him (with the help of a snowplow who saw the boy in the ditch) he offered up that ridiculous explanation:

“The boy told the snowplow driver that he was a dwarf and that he had forgotten his driver’s license at home.”

Which is both clever and alarming for a 10-year-old to conjure up.

Thankfully, the kids and the car were uninjured. We do not, however, have details on what happened when his parents got ahold of him. But we’re guessing nothing good.

Razor Bumps, Causes and Treatments

To prevent razor bumps:

1. Before shaving take a shower to soften the hair and open pores, not a long one. Wrinkling occurs when you stay in the water for too long which makes it difficult to get a proper shave.

2. Shaving should always be done in the direction your hairs grow, otherwise you’re pulling and cutting the hair follicle in an unnatural direction which will make it susceptible to growing into your skin and cause irritation.

3. The right shaving technique should be used to prevent razor bumps. Shave in slow small strokes rinsing the razor under water to clean it between each stroke, it won’t sit flush against the skin if the blade is clogged.

 

4. Use a product designed to treat razor bumps, one that contains salicylic acid, glycolic acid, witch hazel, aloe, or any combination of these ingredients is good. Some products may require you to put the solution on a cotton ball and dab it on your skin while others might come in a roller bottle that’s designed to go directly on your skin.

5. Before shaving let the hairs grow out a bit. It will only irritate or tear it open by shaving over razor bumps, leaving them vulnerable to infection(and probably not removing much hair in the process). See if the hair breaks out of the bumps on its own.

6. Try not to go over the same area twice. Less irritation is caused by shaving with the grain but not as close a shave. If you are going back over an area you have already shaved you should try to use this technique.

7. Cold water should be used for rinsing. Using a cold washcloth on the area or ending your shower with a blast of cold water will close your pores, leaving them less vulnerable to irritants and infection.

8. One should keep changing their blades of the razors as the unused razors are often breeding grounds for bacteria.

9. You can use a mixture of cooled and pureed cucumber with one cup milk on razor bumps and rinse it off after 10-20 minutes. This helps prevent razor bumps.

Darren Sharper — CHARGED WITH RAPE … NFL Star Allegedly Drugged Multiple Women

Darren Sharper has just been charged with 2 counts of rape in L.A. … after the former New Orleans Saints superstar allegedly drugged multiple women and raped them in his hotel room … TMZ Sports has learned.

Among the charges … two counts of rape by use of drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Sharper — who had a Hall of Fame-caliber NFL career as a safety — is accused of drugging the women with zolpidem (Ambien).

Officials say Sharper met the two women in a West Hollywood nightclub on October 30th and invited them to another party.

On the way, officials say they stopped at Darren’s hotel room and he gave them each a shot.

The women then passed out and hours later one of the women claims she woke up with Sharper sexually assaulting her.  The second woman says she woke up and “interrupted his actions.”

Officials say Sharper STRUCK AGAIN on January 14th … when he returned to the same West Hollywood nightclub and found two more women.

Sharper allegedly pulled the same scheme — inviting them back to hs room, gave them a shot, they passed out, he raped them.

Officials say both women left his hotel and sought medical treatment.

Sharper was arrested on January 17th. He was released on $200k bail.  In addition to the rape, officials also say he was illegally in possession of morphine.

If convicted, Sharper faces more than 30 YEARS in prison. Officials are recommending the judge set his bail at $100 MILLION.

(Update: We’re told the $100 million bail was a typo … officials meant to request a $10 MILLION bail).

Officials say Sharper is also accused of raping women in 3 other states — including Arizona, Nevada and Louisiana.

As we previously reported, Sharper has addressed the allegations in Louisiana … claiming the sexual encounter was consensual.
