Dominion Employee Sues Trump Campaign Claiming Defamation

A top employee of Dominion Voting Systems, who has gone into hiding after becoming the subject of conspiracy theories on the right since the election, is suing the Trump campaign, a number of campaign surrogates and pro-Trump media outlets, alleging defamation.

Eric Coomer, director of product strategy and security for the Denver-based company, has been baselessly accused of using his position to mastermind a high-tech plot to steal the election for President-elect Joe Biden. Biden’s victory has been certified in the states by officials of both parties with no evidence of widespread fraud or irregularities.

Coomer’s suit, filed Tuesday in Colorado state district court in Denver, accuses those responsible of spreading the falsehoods of intentional infliction of emotional distress and civil conspiracy.

Mitch McDonnell Finally Acknowledges Joe Biden is President-Elect

It should be noted that Russian president Vladimir Putin, congratulated Joe Biden on his win before the Republican Senate Leader mustered up the courage to do so.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell congratulated Democrat Joe Biden on Tuesday, calling him the president-elect and saying the Electoral College “has spoken.”

The Republican leader’s statement delivered in a speech on the Senate floor ends weeks of silence over President Donald Trump’s defeat. It comes after electors met Monday and affirmed Biden’s election win.

“Many of us had hoped the presidential election would yield a different result,” McConnell said. “But our system of government has the processes to determine who will be sworn in on Jan. 20. The Electoral College has spoken.”

Supreme Court Rules Against Trump… Again

The Supreme Court refused Friday to let Texas challenge the election results in four battleground states critical to President Donald Trump’s defeat at the polls last month, likely sealing his political fate.

“Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections,” the court said in a brief order. It dismissed all other related claims as moot.

The justices’ action clears the way for electors to convene in 50 states and the District of Columbia Monday and all but confirm that President-elect Joe Biden will be the nation’s 46th president.

The Dictator In The White House

No, you are not in North Korea and man in the White House is Donald Trump, not a dictator. But if you listen to Donald Trump and watch his actions over the last few weeks, you would think we are living in North Korea, and you would think the man in the White House is Kim Jong-un.

In his latest brazen attempt at dictatorship, Donald Trump called Georgia’s Republican governor on Saturday and ask the governor to overthrow the election results in Georgia. Trump asked the governor to insert electors that will declare him the winner.

Hours before he was scheduled to hold a rally in Georgia on behalf of the state’s two GOP senators, Trump pressed Kemp to call a special session of the state legislature for lawmakers to override the results and appoint electors who would back the president at the electoral college, according to a person familiar with the conversation who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the private call.

Trump also asked the governor to demand an audit of signatures on mail ballots, something Kemp has previously noted he has no power to do. Kemp declined the president’s entreaty, according to the person.

Georgia Republican to Trump – “Stop inspiring people to commit potential acts of violence”

Gabriel Sterling, an election official in Georgia and a Republican, begged Donald Trump to cut the crop before someone gets hurt or even killed.

“It has to stop,” said Mr. Sterling, a Republican. “Mr. President, you have not condemned this language or these actions. This has to stop. We need you to step up, and if you’re going to take a position of leadership, show some.”

Mr. Sterling, a wonkish former city councilman in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs, has taken on a starring role as Georgia’s voting system implementation manager while the president continues to call the election “rigged” and urge for the results to be nullified.

“Mr. President, it looks like you likely lost the state of Georgia,” Mr. Sterling said on Tuesday. “We’re investigating. There’s always a possibility, I get it, you have the right to go to the courts. What you don’t have is the ability to — and you need to step up and say this — is stop inspiring people to commit potential acts of violence. Someone’s going to get hurt. Someone’s going to get shot.

House Republican Representative Jumps Off Trump’s ‘Stupid’ Train

Little by little, in their own little way, Republicans are finally beginning to accept the concept of democracy, accept the will of the people, and accept the fact that Donald Trump lost the election.

Enter Rep. Paul Mitchell from Michigan. In an unbelievable tweet on Sunday, Mitchell pleaded with Trump to ‘stop the stupid’ and put the nation first. The tweet was in response to Trump lying about winning the election.

“Oh my God,” Rep. Paul Mitchell (R-Mich.) tweeted about Trump’s latest false allegations, similar to the ones he’s been repeating without evidence since he lost to President-elect Joe Biden.

“Please for the sake of our Nation please drop these arguments without evidence of factual basis,” Mitchell wrote.

More than 2100 Covid Deaths Reported Tuesday

(CNN) More than 2,100 Covid-19 deaths were reported in the US on Tuesday — making it the highest single day death toll the country has seen since early May.

The most deaths in a single day were recorded April 15 — 2,603 people.

When cases and hospitalizations began to surge weeks ago, officials predicted deaths would soon follow. Daily cases haven’t dipped below 100,000 in three weeks. And for the 15th consecutive day, the US beat its own hospitalization record, with now more than 88,000 Covid-19 patients nationwide, according to the COVID Tracking Project.
