Hey, Democrats Do Dumb Stuff Too

We have all heard of the RINOs – Republicans In Name Only, and we have went out of our way to bring them to you… free of charge. But when we come across the DINOs – Democrats In Name Only, people who call themselves Democrats then do things we expect a Republican to do, well… we’ll point them out too.

We’ll bring you to Scranton Pennsylvania and allow us to introduce you to a Democratic Mayor name Chris Doherty. Doherty and the City Counsel cannot figure out how to close a $16.8 million budget gap, so Doherty decides the best way to raise revenue would be to cut the pay of Firefighters and other public employees to minimum wage. Although a local judge ordered Doherty not to cut wages, the DINO went ahead and reduced the public employees wages anyway.

Doherty last week ignored a court order and cut the pay of about 400 city workers to the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. The Democratic mayor said it was all the cash-strapped city of more than 76,000 could afford, promising to restore full pay once finances are stabilized.

“It’s incredible,” the unions’ attorney, Thomas Jennings, said Tuesday. “I’ve never had a public official just say, ‘I’m not going to obey a court order. I’m not even going to try. He can’t tell me what to do.'”

We can all agree that deficits need to be reduced and even eliminated, but something is terribly wrong when the only way out of a financial hole is to put the cost on the backs of the hard-working middle class while the rich goes scott-free!

Twitter Followers Dump on Trump

Donald Trump, you all know him right? The most pompous asset the Republican party have right now, weighed in on the ongoing debate of Mitt Romney’s financial secrets. Trump took to Twitter and tweeted his support for Romney keeping his secrets from the American people, with the following tweet;

Suggesting that the president is lying about his education – a claim Trump has held ever since he captured the public’s attention with his baseless suggestions that President Obama was born in Kenya, Trump’s tweet caused a little stir among other twitter followers.

Chris Christie Hits Mitt Romney – “You Can’t Lead…”

Last time we mentioned Chris Christie in a post, he was busy chasing after someone on a boardwalk in New Jersey after an apparent criticism was lodged his way. “You’re a real big-shot!” Christie shouted, after the man passed by. “You’re a real big-shot, shooting your mouth off!”

We are mentioning him again because of something else he said on Monday.

Mr. Christie, a supporter of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Flip Romney and himself a possible vice presidential candidate, spoke before an audience at the Brookings Institute in Washington, D.C. No, it is not that Christie actually spoke instead of shouting at the audience that made news, it is what he said and the obvious relevance of his message to Flip Romney that had people talking.

Romney, as you all know is a flip-flopper. He constantly changes his position in a blatant attempt to get votes. With that in mind, listen to the words of Chris Christie as he delivered a message any flip flopper should understand.

“We shouldn’t be listening to political consultants whispering in our ears, ‘Say as little as possible,’ we shouldn’t be listening to those voices that say, ‘Just use the party doctrine and don’t stray.’ We should be telling people how we think and how we feel and let them judge us up or down. […] You can’t lead by being a mystery. You can’t lead by being an enigma. You can’t lead by being aloof. You can’t lead by being programmed. I think you have to lead by being yourself and who you are and then people will trust you. And when they trust you, they will follow you.”

No names necessary. This was a hit at what is unfortunately becoming a Romney trait – selling your soul to gain a vote.

David Plouffe – The Rich Are Buying The White House for Mr. Romney

White House senior adviser David Plouffe on Tuesday explained that presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney had raised massive amounts of money in June because rich people were “trying to purchase the White House.”

During an interview on ABC, host George Stephanopoulos asked Plouffe if President Barack Obama was on track to lose after Romney raised $35 million more than him last month.

“Money matters in politics,” Plouffe said. “We’re running a great campaign. We have millions of volunteers out there registering voters, donating 25 or 50 dollars. But you have to have enough money to run and win your campaign.”

“And our big concern is these super PACs,” he added. “You’ve got a few wealthy people lining up trying to purchase the White House for Mr. Romney.”

Over the weekend, Romney raised millions of dollars in a single day by holding three fundraisers at the homes of wealthy donors in the Hamptons, including a mansion owned by conservative billionaire David Koch.

President Obama Hits Pretender Romney On Financial Secrecy

President Obama himself has jumped into the flap over Mitt Romney’s tax returns, saying voters are entitled to more information on the Republican’s offshore bank accounts.

“What’s important is if you are running for president is that the American people know who you are and what you’ve done and that you’re an open book,” Obama told WMUR-TV of Manchester, N.H., in an interview on Monday.

“And that’s been true of every presidential candidate dating all the way back to Mitt Romney’s father,” Obama added.

Obama’s campaign has also released a new video on Romney’s finances.

George Romney, then the governor of Michigan, released 12 years of tax returns when he sought the presidency in 1968.

Mitt Romney has released only his most recent tax returns; Obama’s camp is demanding more as they raise questions about Romney’s overseas accounts, and whether he has used them to avoid paying U.S. taxes.

Romney Would Have To Save $5000 for 20,000,000 Years To Get $100,000,000 In His IRA

I just cannot understand the secrecy.

Why exactly is Mitt Flip Romney holding on to his financial information this long and this hard. We already have lots of data that would make the average voter look at Romney with squinted eyes and a raised eyebrow. Data like his $75 million investment in a company that destroyed fetuses, his multiple offshore bank accounts that set up to bet against the US Dollar, his work at Bain Capital where he oversaw thousands of American jobs eliminated, and now this: a new revelation that he has another offshore account set up as an IRA account containing between $20 to $100 million dollars.

With the present rules of an IRA account where a maximum yearly contribution of about $5000, questions remain about how in the world Romney’s IRA could have as much as $100 million.

To put things into perspective, if Romney followed the present IRA rules, he would have to contribute $5000 for 20,000,000 years to meet his present IRA holdings. We know Romney’s Mormon religion forbid him from drinking alcohol or doing drugs, but no matter how healthy he eats or how extreme his exercise routine is, he is not 20,000,000 years old!

But alas! Paul Krugman is saying there are “legitimate” ways Romney could have saved this fortune in an IRA. Krugman says:

There are legitimate ways that could have happened, just as there are potentially legitimate reasons for parking large sums of money in overseas tax havens. But we don’t know which if any of those legitimate reasons apply in Mr. Romney’s case — because he has refused to release any details about his finances. This refusal to come clean suggests that he and his advisers believe that voters would be less likely to support him if they knew the truth about his investments.

And that is precisely why voters have a right to know that truth. Elections are, after all, in part about the perceived character of the candidates — and what a man does with his money is surely a major clue to his character.

Pat Buchanan Would Rather Not See a Female President

The Republican party is an all male enterprise… preferably all white men. There are a few women sprinkled around, but they are mostly regulated to the outermost corners of the party, along with the few minorities that call themselves Republican.

Based on their recent assault on women, it would seem that the men in the party prefer their women seen and not heard, so it was no surprise when Pat Buchanan, a former Republican Presidential candidate – expressed his wishes that the longer it took America to see a female president, the better off we’ll be.

During a panel discussion on PBS over the weekend, host John McLaughlin asked Buchanan when the U.S. would elect the first female president.

“2040 or 2050,” Buchanan predicted.

“That late?” McLaughlin wondered.

“Let’s hope so,” Buchanan replied with a chuckle.

“They’re not even considering any woman for vice president on the Republican ticket,” he later added. “I was joking about 2040!”

Poll Shows President Obama Leading in 12 Battleground States

A new poll released Sunday indicates the presidential race between Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama is still tight in a dozen major battlegrounds.

According to the latest survey by USA Today/Gallup, the president has a small advantage over his Republican rival, 47% to 45%, in 12 key states. The two-point margin falls well within the poll’s sampling error.

Obama’s edge over Romney represents the same two-point margin he held when the same poll was last conducted in May.

When zooming out to include voters from the other states, the gap expands to a four-point margin in favor of Obama, 48% to 44%.

One of them took President Obama’s actual jobs numbers and superimposed the graphic over a video of Mitt Flip Romney. Romney on the video was talking about his time as Governor of Massachusetts. He was demonstrating the jobs curve he claimed he brought to the state.

Bobby Jindal Should Be A Used Car Salesman – Answer The Question! – Video

It was a simple question. Are the American people wrong for wanting to look at Romney’s offshore accounts? The question was posed to Bobby Jindal, the Republican governor for Louisiana who appeared on ABC’s This Week as a Mitt Flip Romney surrogate. It should have been a simple answer, yes the American people should be concerned or no, Romney’s offshore accounts are non of the American people’s business.

But instead, Jindal started talking and talking and talking, until the only words I heard were blah blah blah… Sidenote: Mr. Jindal has a way of talking you to sleep, as I began nodding during his response. I regained my conscientiousness when the Democratic governor of Maryland Martin O’Malley began answering the question.

Obama Campaign Hits Flip Romney’s Chinese Connection

A new ad from the Obama Campaign hits Flip Romney where it hurts – in China. Yes, China, where Romney has made millions of dollars from outsourcing American jobs for cheap labor and a huge profits.

The Associated Press reports;

The 30-second spot opens with a clip of Romney during a 2011 Republican primary debate. He says “the Chinese are smiling all the way to the bank taking our jobs and taking a lot of our future. And I am not willing to let that happen.”

A narrator responds that Romney “made a fortune letting it happen.”

The Obama ad refers to a newspaper account about the role Romney’s firm played with companies that were “pioneers” in helping outsource jobs. It pointed to one business that said it was a “one-stop shop for their outsource requirements.”

“Mitt Romney’s not the solution. He’s the problem,” the narrator says.

Chris Christie Is A Real Bad Man… Clutching His Ice Cream Cone

While cruising down the boardwalk in the popular vacation town of Seaside Heights, NJ., Republican governor Chris Christie was  met by one of those pesky Corporations… ah… people. A man who had the nerve to interrupt Mr. Christie and his ice-cream cone with a question.

This unbelievable act by the man to ask a public politician a question caused Chris Christie to stop licking on his cone, a very dangerous thing for a man who has obviously indulged in one too many licks. Christie charged at the fellow screaming, “You’re a real big-shot! You’re a real big-shot, shooting your mouth off!”

“Nah, just take care of the teachers,” the man said as he walked away.

“Yeah, keep walking away,” the Republican governor yelled, “Keep walking!”

And from the corner of his eye, Christie noticed the ice cream dripping down the side of the cone. Like the expert he is, Christie managed to toss some tongue action at the cone, capturing the impatient drip.

He continued his cruise down the boardwalk. A Real bad man… clutching his ice cream cone.
