Good news for America, bad news for the propaganda machine that is otherwise known as the Republican party! Even with all the roadblocks they have put up in America’s way, the projected budget for the year 2014 should be between $300 to $500 billion.
The U.S. government ran a big surplus in April, thanks to a flood of tax payments that helped keep the budget on track for the lowest annual deficit in six years…. Through the first seven months of the 2014 budget year, which began Oct. 1, the deficit totals $306.4 billion. That’s down 37 percent from the same period last year.
The Congressional Budget Office is forecasting a deficit of $492 billion for the full budget year. That would be the narrowest gap since 2008.
This new video from the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences and NOAA’s Earth System Research Laboratory not only shows the recent global carbon-dioxide trend, but it also shows that humans have increased carbon-dioxide levels rapidly, and to their highest levels in at least 800,000 years:
Donald Sterling went on CNN and dropped this gem. My overall take on this man and this interview? I walk away feeling sorry for him. I pity his ignorance, his inability to see his racist ways.
The Republican darlings like Rush Limbaugh and the cast at Fox News, have beaten up on Michelle Obama ever since the First Lady joined the crusade to bring more attention to the over 300 kidnapped girls in Nigeria.
But I’m really not telling you anything new here. Republicans have worked hard to develop a reputation of being against anything the Obamas are for. So when Michelle Obama posted a photo of her holding up a sign with the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls, it was just a matter of time before the Republicans, led by their mightily heavy leader Rush Limbaugh, jumped on their Obama hating bandwagon.
Apparently, it makes good sense and politics to these Republicans to show the world that they are against someone who is trying to bring more publicity to the three hundred young girls kidnapped in Nigeria.
“See that’s the thing about hashtag activism. It cannot force a crazy person to do something. But it can shame a less crazy person into not doing nothing,” Stewart said on “The Daily Show,” referencing Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan’s decision to let foreign countries aid in the search for the missing girls.
“Whilst apparently driving a medium crazy person crazier,” Stewart continued, cutting to a clip of Limbaugh bashing the #GetBackOurGirls campaign.
In the clip, Limbaugh railed against Michelle Obama as “pathetic,” lamenting that people will probably criticize him for not trying to help the kidnapped girls.
“You know what Rush, you’re right. Sometimes the world has to choose sides. Let’s see our choices,” Stewart said before flashing pictures of Malala Yousafzai, who posted a photo to Twitter with the hashtag, and Limbaugh.
“So that’s our choice: Malala or Rush, the quivering rage heap who is apparently desperately trying to extinguish any remaining molecule of humanity that might still reside in the Chernobyl-esque superfund cleanup site that was his soul.”
He then tells viewers to tweet their votes to “#F*@KYOURUSH.”
He grew up in a conservative household and still identify himself as a fiscal conservative. But on Tuesday morning, CNBC anchor Brian Sullivan went on Morning Joe and totally dogged the Republican party.
The conversation had to do with Benghazi and why the issue of four dead Americans has become so political and divisive. When Republicans were referred to as… Republicans, Sullivan flipped out!
“Can we stop saying ‘the’ Republican Party?” Sullivan said. “As somebody who grew up in a conservative household, I don’t recognize the Republican Party of even my youth. I don’t like what I see. I don’t like the far right, I don’t like the extremism.”
He went on. “I don’t know who the Republican Party is anymore. I don’t know if the Republican Party knows who the Republican — because it’s not a party, unfortunately Republicans, that I can get on board with. Because I don’t like the small-minded attitude, a lot of the far right stuff that comes out — I should go home now.”
Clay Aiken’s Democratic opponent, 71 years old Keith Crisco, died on Monday after sustaining injuries from a fall in his home.
“I am stunned and deeply saddened by Keith Crisco’s death,” Aiken said. “Keith came from humble beginnings. No matter how high he rose – to Harvard, to the White House and to the Governor’s Cabinet – he never forgot where he came from. He was a gentleman, a good and honorable man and an extraordinary public servant.”
Aiken said May 12 that he is suspending all campaign activities to “pray for his family and friends.”
According to Brad Crone, a North Carolina Democratic strategist, Crisco was planning to concede May 13. While the state board of elections has acknowledged Crisco’s death, Aiken has not been certified the winner.
Aiken held a slim lead for the Democratic nomination, with an unofficial tally of 11,649 votes, or 40.8%. Keith Crisco was in second place with 11,277 votes, or 39.5%. In North Carolina, a candidate needs to get more than 40% of the vote to avoid a runoff election.
Rush Limbaugh added another line to his hate-filled resume today – and that in itself was considered an almost impossible task given some of the other wretched and despicable things Limbaugh has said on radio – when he said that Democrats don’t want to consider Boko Haram members terrorists, because they’re black. “They look like African-Americans.”
Limbaugh;
How many people do you think know that this terror group Boko Haram has been attacking Christians since 2009? The jihad aspect of Boko Haram is almost completely ignored by the White House and the media, and I can tell you why. I just saw why. There’s video that’s been released, about half of the kidnapped girls have been converted to Islam, the other 150, no mention of. The Boko Haram leader, or whoever Boko Haram had perform on video, is a good-looking guy. This is why Mrs. Clinton wouldn’t call this terror group a terror group, because they’re black. Can’t afford to do this. This is how surface conscience the left is.
We cannot call people what they are, in this case a jihadist anti-Christian terror group aligned with Al-Qaeda, we can’t call them terrorists because they look like African-Americans, and we just can’t go there. Nobody will ever convince me that that’s why they didn’t call this group a terror group.
Spoken like a true racist… a stupid racist that is…
The leader of the terrorist group Boko Haram, that kidnapped over 200 Nigeria school girls has released a video on YouTube saying they will release the girls if their impresioned “brothers” are released.
In a 1.25 minute clip of the video on YouTube, scores of girls in black and grey veils sit on the ground and chant, before Shekau, wearing military fatigues and holding an AK-47, addresses the camera. He appears confident and at one point laughs.
“All I am saying is that if you want us to release the girls that we have kidnapped, those who have not accepted Islam will be treated as the Prophet (Mohammed) treated infidels and they will stay with us,” he said, according to a translation of his words originally spoken in a Nigerian language.
“We will not release them while you detain our brothers,” he said, before naming a series of cities in Nigeria. It was not clear whether he was in the same location as the girls.
There was no immediate reaction from authorities to the new video but one senior official said the government was studying the situation.
Tony Perkins, a staunch conservative and president of the Family Research Council, is in the news again. Now it’s not strange that Tony Perkins finds himself in the news, he’s known for saying some outlandish things that gets him the headlines. This time is no different.
In his program, Parkins spoke about the Department of Education’s investigation of 55 schools and universities that mishandled sexual assault cases. Perkins somehow made the connection that this investigation will lead to more condoms in schools, thus “tyranny.”
Speaking on his “Washington Watch” program, Perkins lamented “the sexualization that is taking place in our culture in general but on college campuses.”
“Contraception is made available as if it were candy which sends a message, well it’s there, it must be there for a reason, and then we’re surprised when — this is not justification, it’s wrong, we are all responsible for our actions — but we’re surprised when people act on these outside factors that they are surrounded by,” Perkins said. “It leads to tyranny.”
It is never the racists’ fault, someone else is always to be blamed. In an interview with CNN, Sterling’s scapegoat was “the girl” who recorded his racist rants.
“I’m not a racist. I made a terrible mistake,” Mr Sterling told CNN. “I’m here to apologise.”
“When I listen to that tape, I don’t even know how I can say words like that,” he said. “I don’t know why the girl had me say those things.”
Sterling, the present owner of the LA Clippers, was recently banned from the the day to day activities of the team and the NBA is currently going through the process of removing him as team owner. But the 81 year old Sterling has decided to fight to maintain ownership, and feels that his past will help him regain ownership.
“I’m a good member who made a mistake,” he said. “Am I entitled to one mistake, am I after 35 years? Am I entitled to one mistake? It’s a terrible mistake, and I’ll never do it again.”
In case you’re wondering, Sarah Palin claims that she wants the best for America. That’s apparently why she is making all these endorsements.
The latest person Palin wants
to see in a leadership role in America is a teabagger whose only claim to fame is wrestling an alligator. A man named Rob Maness.
In her endorsement, Palin said;
“In the Louisiana Senate race we have the opportunity to send a true conservative and a real warrior to join that fight. So, today I am lending my support to retired Col. Rob Maness for U.S. Senate.”
In Palin’s America, we’ll all he able to see Russia from her house and America would be run by quitters and alligator wrestlers. That’s why I vote Democratic.
Back in the day when George Zimmerman racially profiled Trayvon Martin and murdered him in the backyard of a Florida neighborhood, Frank Taaffe was George’s biggest fan and supporter. Taaffe even went on many cable shows to defend his “friend” and neighbor.
“What I know of George and his tendencies and also my opinion is that he racially profiled Trayvon Martin that night because if that had been a white kid on a cell phone, walking through our neighborhood, he wouldn’t have stayed on him the way he did and that’s a fact and I believe that in my heart,” said Taaffe.
This is very different from what Taaffe told News 13 numerous times after the shooting, including during an interview back in May 2012 when he said, “That George Zimmerman in a position in a volunteer role wanted to ensure the safety of the community he lived in and he became the victim.”
But today, Taaffe claims he just wants to clear his conscience, “I can only ask for the country to forgive me and today I believe that he racially profiled him based on the color of his skin. Reporter: Some people may wonder what does Frank Taaffe have to gain by doing this? Are you working on a book? No book. A TV show? No. I’m just working on me right now and getting right with God.”
Taaffe says his brother’s death last month and the death of his two sons over the past two years has changed him.
