Rick Perry’s Republican ID Card is Ready – #MugShot

Rick Perry, one of the potential Republican candidates to run for president in 2016 got his official Republican ID card today – his mug shot.

Perry’s mug shot is compliments of an abuse of power indictment, a corruption charge and on his way to get his Republican ID taken, Perry promised that he “will fight the charges” with every fiber of his body. Perry also called the indictment “a political act.”

“This indictment is fundamentally a political act that seeks to achieve at the courthouse what could not be achieved at the ballot box,” Perry told a crowd in Austin Texas before he got his fingerprints and mug shot.

Not sure why he’s smiling…

Breaking News – This Police Officer is Actually HELPING Someone

This is actually good news, and it is exactly what we should expect from the people hired to protect and to serve.

Instead, we see them administering choke holds on an innocent man leaving that man dead. We see a police officer beating a grandmother on the streets of LA as if she was a harden criminal, and we see another officer shooting to kill, simply because the teenager walked on the street.

Then there are officers like Tom Ondecker of Ohio. The officer was seen helping a disabled man with his groceries.

A passerby snapped Officer Tom Ondecker walking alongside the disabled man for about half a mile on Ohio’s State Route 14 to his nursing home on Saturday.

See, they’re not all bad.

Ferguson’s Trigger Happy Officer Darren Wilson is Texting

Darren Wilson, the trigger-happy Ferguson police officer who gunned down an innocent teenager last weekend, is now using those fingers to text his friend of 14 years.

According to his friend, Jake Shepard, Wilson texted to thank him for all the support his friend is giving, after Shepard went on CNN to defend Wilson. Wilson informed Shepherd that he has 24 hour security and cannot go outside, presumably because of all the fuss his trigger-happy finger is causing the people in Ferguson Missouri.

Shepard told MailOnline that he is coming forward with this information to shed a different light on his good ole pal Darren Wilson.

Shepard also told MailOnline he thinks Wilson did the right thing according to his training. But he believes that the police in general should have better training to use non-lethal force before opening fire.

He said: ‘It’s sad for Mike Brown and his family. Darren could have just Tasered him and Mike would have spent six months in jail or something and maybe got his act together after that.

‘Darren could have gone on with his life too but now both of their lives are over. It sucks.

‘I’m sure Mike’s family is having a hard time but at least they have the support of the whole nation behind them, openly. Darren doesn’t get that’.

Republicans Are Abandoning their Obamacare-is-bad Gimmick

The Republican Boogieman called Obamacare is dying. The gimmick is up as millions if Americans are seeing the benefits of affordable health care.

Bloomberg is reporting that across the nation, Republicans’ anti-Obamacare lies broadcast on radio and television are being cut.

Republicans seeking to unseat the U.S. Senate incumbent in North Carolina have cut in half the portion of their top issue ads citing Obamacare, a sign that the party’s favorite attack against Democrats is losing its punch,” Bloomberg reports.

The shift — also taking place in competitive states such as Arkansas and Louisiana — shows Republicans are easing off their strategy of criticizing Democrats over the Affordable Care Act now that many Americans are benefiting from the law and the measure is unlikely to be repealed.

The party had been counting on anti-Obamacare sentiment to spur Republican turnout in its quest for a U.S. Senate majority, just as the issue did when Republicans took the House in 2010. Now, Republicans are seeking a new winning formula for an election less than three months away

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is Stoned in Ferguson Missouri – Video

No, he wasn’t injured. It was actually a rather lame effort by the person throwing the projectiles. However, at least two stones with thrown in Chris Hayes’ direction at yesterday’s protest in Ferguson Missouri.

As the stones were being hauled over a fence protecting the MSNBC host, a protester is heard in the background telling Hayes to “tell the true story!” Hayes replied that he was reporting the truth.

“People are angry man, they are real angry,” Hayes said, as he nervously glanced back and forth in the direction of the thrower.

CNN’s Jake Tapper Calls Out Ferguson Police for Inciting Violent Protests

On the ground in Ferguson Missouri, CNN’s Jake Tapper became irate! Not at the protesters, who, for the most part were peacefully following the new set of protesting rules set on them by the Ferguson Police Department. No Tappa was upset with the Ferguson Police and the obvious response their actions had on these peaceful protesters.

“I want to show you this, okay? To give you an idea of what’s going on. The protesters have moved all the way down there… they’re all the way down there. Nobody is threatening anything. Nobody is doing anything. None of the stores here that I can see are being looted. There is no violence.

Now I want you to look at what is going on in Ferguson, Missouri, in downtown America, okay? These are armed police, with — not machine guns — semi-automatic rifles, with batons, with shields, many of them dressed for combat. Now why they’re doing this? I don’t know. Because there is no threat going on here. None that merits this. There is none, okay? Absolutely there have been looters, absolutely over the last nine days there’s been violence, but there is nothing going on on this street right now that merits this scene out of Bagram. Nothing.

So if people wonder why the people of Ferguson, Missouri are so upset, this is part of the reason. What is this? This doesn’t make any sense.”

Members of Congress Call for Federal Investigation into Eric Garner’s Murder

The Daily News reports that Reps. Hakeem Jeffries, Gregory Meeks and Yvette Clark called Thursday for the U.S. Department of Justice to open investigations into both the controversial tactic of aggressively enforcing low-level offenses to prevent more serious ones — a cornerstone of NYPD policing — and the July 17 death of the Staten Island man after being placed in a chokehold by a police officer.

“The family of Eric Garner deserves an independent and impartial investigation,” said Jeffries. “The only way for that to happen is for the Department of Justice to step in and get involved.”

The trio joined three New York congressional colleagues — Charles Rangel, Nydia Velazquez and Jose Serrano — in sending a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder about the case.

The nation’s top prosecutor has said his office is “closely monitoring” the city probe into Garner’s death.

‘Anonymous’ Releases Audio from St Louis Dispatch The Day Mike Brown Was Killed

Mother Jones reported on this, saying  that this audio was posted by @theanonmessage, a twitter account affiliated with Anonymous’ Operation Ferguson, a member of which I interviewed last night.

According to @theanonmessage, this recording contains audio excerpts from St. Louis County police dispatch over several hours on August 9, 2014, the day Michael Brown was shot and killed by a Ferguson police officer. The dispatcher starts talking about the Brown shooting around the 10-minute mark, while intermittently handling other calls. See below the recording for an updating list of interesting moments, with time stamps included.

9:35: “Ferguson is asking for assistance with crowd control . . .”

10:58: “Now they have a large group gathering there, she doesn’t know any further. . .”

11:20: “We just got another call stating it was an officer-involved shooting . . .”

11:30: “Be advised, this information came from the news . . .”

11:55: “We’re just getting information from the news and we just called Ferguson back again and they don’t know anything about it . . .”

20:00: “. . .destruction of property . . .”

21:55: “They are requesting more cars. Do you want me to send more of your cars?”

43:55: “Attention all cars, be advised that in reference to the call 2947 Canfield Drive, we are switching over to the riot channel at this time . . .”

Update, 4:40 p.m. ET: I tried to verify the dispatch recordings with St. Louis County Police but their media contact, Brian Shelman, did not answer the phone and his voicemail was full.

Update 2, 5:05 p.m. ET: Mashable is confirming that the St. Louis County Police Department is “aware of this and currently investigating.”

Update 3, 6:05 p.m. ET: A twitter follower of mine points out that the dispatch recording probably comes from Broadcastify, a database of public safety radio audio streams that’s available to anyone who pays for a subscription. It’s “far from a hack,” he says.

Republicans Found Their Talking Point – That Michael Brown Had Marijuana in His System

Republicans have looked for a narrative to defend the killing of Michael Brown since his lifeless body laid on a street in Ferguson, and now, with newly released information suggesting that Mike Brown had marijuana in his system, Republicans have found their talking-point.

Earlier today, I brought you a story of a rally that happened, not in Ferguson, but outside the area, where 125 people held a protest in support of the trigger happy police officer. Of the 125 people protesting, 124 of them were white. These people held their protest before the marijuana news broke, but now, Republicans like Rush Limbaugh and Bryan Fischer are ecstatic, hardly able to contain their enthusiasm in blaming Brown for his own death.

On his radio program today, Fischer happily proclaimed;

“We know now he did have marijuana in his system, and we’ve had stories, remember, we’ve had stories from Colorado, people going berserk on marijuana and killing people, hyped up on marijuana. So it’s more dangerous than people think”

Iowa Republican Representative Arrested for Raping His Mentally Challenged Wife

She was unable to give consent to the sexual act because of her mental state. A judge ruled that 78-year-old Donna Rayhons – wife of Iowa Republican Representative Henry Rayhons and who resided at an elderly care facility – lacked mental capacity to consent to sex but Henry apparently wasn’t listening.

According to Iowa Press-citizen’s reporting, Rep. Henry Rayhons, R-Garner, who represents House District 8, was charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony.

The charge stems from an alleged incident the evening of May 23 at the Concord Care Center in Garner, authorities said.

Rayhons, 78, is accused of having sex with his wife, Donna, who did not have the mental capacity to consent, according to a criminal complaint.

The complaint said that Rayhons was told on May 15 that Donna Rayhons did not have the cognitive ability to give consent to any sexual activity. On May 23, Henry Rayhons went into his wife’s room and pulled the curtain closed, the complaint said. Donna Rayhon’s roommate told authorities that she “heard noises indicating to her that” Henry Rayhons was having sex with Donna Rayhons, the complaint said. Surveillance video showed Henry Rayhons leaving his wife’s room and discarding undergarments into a laundry bag, the complaint said.

In June, a Hancock County District Court judge issued an order that named Suzan Brunes, Donna Rayhons’ daughter, her mother’s temporary guardian, according to a story in the Mason City Globe Gazette.

Donna and Henry Rayhon were married in 2007.

Donna Rayhons, 78, died on Aug. 8.

Henry Rayhons was arrested today and taken to the Hancock County Jail.

An employee of the Hancock County Attorney’s Office on Friday said the case would be prosecuted by the state Attorney General’s Office. That office did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
