Only in New York!
Took a break for lunch today and decided to go out for a slice of pizza or something. As I walked west on 57th Street to 6th ave, this caught my attention. I had to share.
I'm just tired of the lies and nonsense coming from the GOP, so this is my little contribution to combat the nonsense!

Here is a man. A white man and he’s angry. Here is a white man who is angry, and he gas a gun!
OMG! The angry white man with the gun is confronting the police! With all we’ve heard about the trigger happy police these days, what do you think will be the end result for this angry white man with a gun, picking a fight with the cops? Someone is sure to be slaughtered, right?
This just goes to show the double standards in today’s society. Can you imagine if the color of the man was different? What would happen to him if he were black or latino?
Well you don’t have to imagine. Eric Garner was just standing in his neighborhood when he was attacked by police, taken down and killed when a police officer applied and illegal choke hold.
Mike Williams, another black teenager was murdered by another cop, having at least 6 bullets pumped into his fleeing body simply because he was walking in the street.
Trayvon Martin was walking in his father’s neighborhood and because he fit a stereotype, he was followed and murdered by a cop wannabe.
Santiago Hernandez was sitting when police descended on him, beat and pepper sprayed him for because they claimed he “resisted arrest.” Then then dropped the charges, leaving Santiago bruised and bloodied.
These are just some of the recently publicized examples of this double standard, but there are countless more happening daily that we never hear about.
But back to our story.
A 63-year-old white man, clad in pajamas, was waving a large gun around, threatening people and understandably scaring the bejesus out of them. Several called the cops, who showed up in a cruiser and attempted to convince the man to “put the gun down,” so they could talk to him.
He was having none of it, and though what he says cannot be heard on the video, it is clear he is making some sort of a statement about his rights to openly carry this weapon. The officer acknowledges his “open carry” rights, but says the man is not allowed to cross the street. That’s jaywalking. The man flips the bird to the police and toward the camera, makes masturbatory gestures, and keeps the assault rifle over his shoulder. He’s having none of it. The cops keep trying to talk some sense into him, and tell him he is “scaring people.” The man says, “shoot me.” The cops don’t.

I have a Note 3 and I’m already too accustomed to friends calling it “a flat screen TV!”
“How can you walk around with that thing by your ears,” they’ll asks, always laughing and joking about how big the thing is. “I can’t even fit it in my pocket” is often the next phrase and the jokes will continue. Then they’ll pull out their little iphones and the comparisons would start.
But I’m always the last one standing, because at the end of the discussion or argument in some cases, they all gravitate to my big screen, usually speechless by the quality of my pictures, high-definition videos, the exceptional processing speed and the ease at with everything flows. By this time, their little iphones with sub par processing and below average picture quality are tucked away in their pockets, hidden from sight.
All hail the Samsung!
So Apple unveiled their big screen iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus today, and a small screen smart watch because the big screen Samsung with their Galaxy and Note products is a big hit with consumers. People don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars for a device they have to squint their eyes to see, so with today’s release Apple is finally getting with the times and attempting to cut into Samsung’s hold on the big picture.
The iphone 6 comes in with a 4.7 inch screen, a tad smaller than the 5.1 inch Samsung Galaxy S5 and the iphone 6 plus has a 5.5 inch screen. And they also unveiled a smart watch or “AppleWatch too!
To my friends, welcome to your very own personal flatscreen TV! I doubt your resolution can compare to mine though! I’m pretty sure you will still be in awe, watching HiDefination programming on my TV Note!

So we may be heading for another war, have you heard? A war with the terrorist group called ISIS. And as such, and according to the United States Constitution, Congress should be the ones making the final decision for war. Congress should have a debate and vote on any military engagement with ISIS.
But Congress is filled to the brim with cowards. Spineless politicians whose only focus is securing their own longevity even at the expense of the American people. Let me rephrase that… especially at the expense of the American people.
So although the Constitution demands that Congress stand up and do their job, the job they were elected to do, chances are that the cowards would cower and bury their heads under a rock until the President makes his decision… again!
Take what Jack Kingston had to say for example. And his sentiments are so true when talking about these congressional cowards. Now Kingston said that he is willing to take a vote on military action against ISIS, but listen to the his words when describing the thinking of his fellow congress members.
“A lot of people would like to stay on the sideline and say, ‘Just bomb the place and tell us about it later. It’s an election year. A lot of Democrats don’t know how it would play in their party, and Republicans don’t want to change anything. We like the path we’re on now. We can denounce it if it goes bad, and praise it if it goes well and ask what took him so long.”
Again, longevity. These people are willing to put aside the Constitution in order to secure another couple of years in Congress. And it makes you wonder, if they don’t want to do their job, why are they trying so hard to keep that job?
Sometimes, politics stink!
In this nation of immigrants, Pat Buchanan – who is not a native Indian as far as I can tell – is comparing immigration to the ISIS terrorist group, and Buchanan thinks immigration in America is more dangerous.
While talking with Conservative talker, Laura Ingraham, Buchanan said, “Look, we’d better realize here that the United States itself is in tremendous long-term danger.”
He continued,
“I think, and the bleeding border along our southern border, the mass movement of people from all over the world into this country, the decomposition of this country socially and culturally, politically, all of these things, it seems to me, are far greater long-term threats to the United States than even those dreadful characters over there in Syria or Iraq beheading people,” Buchanan said in audio captured by WorldNetDaily.
Buchanan went on to echo Phyllis Schlafly’s warning that new immigrants will largely vote Democratic, thereby destroying America.

The Ravens club apparently wants nothing to do with the man who was seen on security camera knocking out the woman he later married.
After releasing Rice from his contract with the team, this message showed up on the official twitter account of the Baltimore Ravens, a message to anyone who may have a Ray Rice jersey:
Welcome to the world of ‘stop and frisk,’ where you have absolutely no rights if you look a certain way… more specifically, if you are a certain color.
A New York man found this stop and frisk world extremely painful as he was stopped by police, frisked. And when he had the audacity to ask why he was being searched – the nerve if this man to think he had protection under the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution from unnecessary search and seizure – he was handcuffed, arrested and beaten.
Two videos actually exist of the beating of Santiago Hernandez: One from a security camera, and the other from a mobile phone. Taken together, the two corroborate Hernandez’s claim that he was kicked, beaten with night sticks, and pepper sprayed. But Hernandez says even before that, he was confused by why he was stopped for a search, and why exactly that search led to his arrest.
“She just was telling me to put my hands behind my back, but ‘I’m like trying to understand what are you are arresting me for. Can you please tell me?’” he recounted to ABC7.
“I’m a person to ask questions. If I didn’t do nothing wrong, I’m trying to understand the reason, what they are thinking of me, or what was the reason at all to arrest me,” he added.
The charges against Hernandez were eventually dropped and an investigation is being conducted… by the NYPD. #Eyeroll

Do you really need more words to describe this new AFL-CIO ad about Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell?
This new ad is running in Kentucky where polling shows McConnell extending his lead considerably over his Democratic challenger, Alison Lundergan Grimes.
In the latest ad, titled “Almost Evil” and timed to coincide with Reid’s introduction of a minimum-wage proposal, the women blame the Koch brothers for Republican opposition to raising the minimum wage. “I think it’s deplorable that the Koch brothers would want to take away minimum wage,” Joyce Koch says in the ad, provided to the Herald-Leader Sunday. She adds in the end: “That’s a misuse of wealth and power, and I really think it’s almost evil.”

Did you know that President Obama receives about 30 death threats per day, according to Ronald Kessler, author of the 2009 “In the President’s Secret Service.” That’s a nearly four times the rate of the approximately 3,000 threats per year faced by George W. Bush, according to Kessler.
Most of the threats are not credible, and not made public, but must be investigated by the Secret Service. But Kessler’s book makes the case that the Secret Service is understaffed. “We have half the number of agents we need, but requests for more agents have fallen on deaf ears at headquarters,” a Secret Service agent told Kessler. “Headquarters’ mentality has always been, ‘You can complete the mission with what you have. You’re a U.S.S.S. agent’,” reported The Telegraph.
And now another episode of racism from the people hired to protect and serve us. Today’s episode comes from a police officer in Baton Rouge Louisiana.
Michael Elsbury, who has been with the department for about 15 years, still faces a criminal investigation even though he resigned, said Cpl. Don Coppola, a Baton Rouge Police spokesman.
The allegations surfaced Wednesday when NAACP state President Ernest Johnson said he was shown a series of text messages with racial slurs that purportedly had been sent by Elsbury to a friend outside of the Police Department.
The texts were given to police “by a girl, a friend” of Elsbury’s, Police Chief Carl Dabadie said Thursday night.
Part of the string of texts read: “I wish someone would pull a Ferguson on them and take them out. I hate looking at those African monkeys at work … I enjoy arresting those thugs with their saggy pants.”
Ben Carson is a Republican and has been mentioned as a potential Republican candidate for President in 2016. Make no mistake, Ben Carson will never get the Republican’s nomination for president in 2016 or any year after, because Republicans are simply not ready for Carson’s real shade of gray… you know what I mean?
But following what happened today when TMZ released the full video of Rey Rice’s knockout punch on his then fiancée, Ben Carson jumped to the microphone to make his feelings known, and he doesn’t want anyone “demonizing” Rice for his knockout punch!
When asked if he agreed with the Baltimore Ravens and NFL’s decision to release Rice from his contract and suspend him indefinitely, Carson answered, “I’m hopeful they will get some help for him. I mean, obviously anyone who would do something like that needs some help.”
He continued;
“And let’s not all jump on the bandwagon of demonizing this guy. He obviously has some real problems, and his wife obviously knows that, because she subsequently married him. So they both need some help. So rather than just jumping on a punitive bandwagon, let’s just see if we can get some help for these people.”
