This Photo of Cop Hugging Suspect Who Tried to Stab Him Has Gone VIRAL

In a post on his Facebook page, Police Officer JD Boyd from Raleigh North Carolina said it best – “”I was glad it ended well for us both that day.”

Officer JD Boyd explained;

Almost a year ago this man and I were involved in a major altercation where he tried to stab me in the head and I nearly shot him. Today we ran into each other again and I learned that after his time in prison and some help from probation he now has a full time job and has another son on the way that will be here in November. I was glad it ended well for us both that day and I am ecstatic now to learn that he has turned his life around and we can embrace as friends.

No one is ever lost forever and as long as you continue to work to be a better version of yourself than you were yesterday things will work out eventually.

With some police resorting to their gun to settle all disputes, it’s good to see a story where a police officer had every right to be afraid, but somehow found the courage and not take the coward’s way out by pulling the trigger.

At the time of this writing, the post has already been shared almost 70,000 times and liked by almost 200,000 people.

Fox Network Shows Pic of Obama While Talking about a Rape Suspect – Video

Do you think this was a mistake? If you do, I have a bridge to sell you.

Fox5 San Diego showed the graphic on its Friday night news broadcast, while talking about a rape suspect who was cleared for lack of evidence.

At 10:04 p.m., viewers heard anchor Kathleen Bade say: “The only suspect in a sex assault at SDSU will not be charged.” At the same time, a picture of Obama appeared with the legend “NO CHARGES.”

The Obama shot lasted about 5 seconds, but it was noticed immediately in the newsroom, said Mike Wille, an assignment editor.

“Yeah, there was an accident when they had an over-the-shoulder” display, Wille told Times of San Diego. “It wasn’t on purpose.”

The news continued for 56 minutes, ending at 11 p.m.

Asked why there was no on-air acknowledgment or apology for the error, Wille said: “They really don’t do that when it’s a small thing like that.”

Breaking: “A Key Figure” in Benghazi Attack is Arrested

Photo: Getty Images

This story will get about 5 minutes on Fox News.

The U.S. government has captured what it’s calling “a key figure” in the attacks two years ago on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya, which killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

American military and law enforcement personnel operating in Libya captured Ahmed Abu Khatallah, who has secretly been indicted in the United States for his alleged role in the attacks.

Khattalah, who was captured Sunday, is now in “a secure location outside of Libya,” and no civilians or U.S. personnel were harmed in the operation, according to a statement today from a Pentagon spokesman. One source said he is being held on a US Navy ship in the Mediterranean.

London Attack Suspect was Arrested in 2010 in Kenya on Terror Charges

Michael Adebolajo was arrested with five others on charges that they were preparing to train and fight with an Al Qaeda-linked terror group. Adebolajo, who was carrying a British passport, was handed over to Britain. He is now suspected of butchering a British soldier last week on a London street.

Michael Adebolajo is among nine suspected members of the Al-Shabaab Movement arrested by Kenyan police on Nov. 22, 2010, on claims of being Al-Shabaab recruits on their way to Somalia.

NAIROBI, Kenya — A suspect in the savage killing of a British soldier on a London street was arrested in Kenya in 2010 near the East African country’s border with Somalia, an anti-terrorism police official said Sunday.

Michael Adebolajo was believed to have been preparing to train and fight with the Al Qaeda-linked Somali militant group al-Shabab in 2010 when he was arrested with five others, Kenya’s anti-terrorism police unit head Boniface Mwaniki told The Associated Press.

Mwaniki said that the suspect was then deported, however, Kenya’s government spokesman said he was arrested under a different name and handed to British authorities.

“Kenya’s government arrested Michael Olemendis Ndemolajo. We handed him to British security agents in Kenya and he seems to have found his way to London and mutated to Michael Adebolajo,” spokesman Muthui Kariuki said. “The Kenyan government cannot be held responsible for what happened to him after we handed him to British authorities.”

Michael Adebolajo (front) shouts slogans as Muslims march in London in a protest on April 27, 2007, against the arrest of six people in anti-terror raids.

The gruesome scene was captured by witnesses’ cellphones, and a video picked up by British media showed one of the suspects, with bloodied hands, making political statements and warning of more violence as the soldier lay on the ground behind him.

Hardline Muslim leaders have identified the man in the video as Adebolajo, an Islam convert who allegedly used to take part in London demonstrations organized by British radical group al-Muhajiroun. The group catapulted to notoriety after the Sept. 11 attacks by organizing an event to celebrate the airplane hijackers, and was banned in Britain in 2010.

Anti-terrorism head Mwaniki rejected allegations that Adebolajo was tortured while in custody, but said the unit would further investigate.

Adebolajo’s friend asserted in a BBC interview that Adebolajo became withdrawn after he allegedly suffered abuse by Kenyan security forces during interrogation in prison there. Mwaniki said at the time, there were no indications of torture or abuse.

Mwaniki said dozens of foreign youth are arrested every year attempting to cross the Kenyan border to join al-Shabab, which claims to be fighting a jihad or holy war against the Somali government and African Union forces.

Oregon School Bomb Plot Suspect Called ‘Nice Kid’ by Classmates

An Oregon high school student has been accused of plotting a school bomb attack “specifically modeled” after the Columbine shooting, prosecutors said today. (ABC News)

Students at an Oregon high school were in shock today, after learning that a classmate they described as “happy” and “nice” is accused of plotting to blow them up with bombs he’d allegedly built and hid in his bedroom.

Grant Acord, 17, a junior at West Albany High School, was arrested late Thursday at his home on two counts of possession of a destructive device and two counts of manufacture of a destructive device, according to the Albany Police Department.

But prosecutors say he will be charged as an adult with aggravated murder and is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Benton County Circuit Court.

Deceased Bombing Suspect Kicked Out of Mosque for Outburst Against Martin Luther King

At the Cambridge mosque near where the bombing suspects lived, two worshipers who showed up for Saturday’s prayer service recalled seeing both men.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was thrown out of the mosque — the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center — about three months ago, after he stood up and shouted at the imam during a Friday prayer service, they said. The imam had held up slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. as an example of a man to emulate, recalled one worshiper who would give his name only as Muhammad.

Enraged, Tamerlan stood up and began shouting, Muhammad said.

“You cannot mention this guy because he’s not a Muslim!” Muhammad recalled Tamerlan shouting, shocking others in attendance.

“He’s crazy to me,” Muhammad said. “He had an anger inside.… I can’t explain what was in his mind.”

Tamerlan was then kicked out of the prayer service for his outburst, Muhammad recalled. “You can’t do that,” Muhammad said of shouting at the imam.

Still, Tamerlan returned to Friday prayer services and had no further outbursts, Muhammad said.

What We Know About Boston Bombers Dzhokhar And Tamerlan Tsarnaev

AP and NBC reported that Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev came to the U.S. from or near Chechnya, but both have apparently spent several years in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, is the remaining suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings — the subject of a massive manhunt Friday morning in Watertown, Massachusetts, multiple sources reported Friday morning. His brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, has been identified as the first suspect and died overnight following a firefight with police.NBC News’ Pete Williams said earlier Friday morning that the two suspects likely had “foreign military training,” and had been in the country for about a year.

Later he said they were brothers, and added, “They were legal permanent residents. They were in this country legally, at least a year. They appear to be from Turkey, possibly Chechens from Turkey. That seems to be the nationality here.”

Just before 7 a.m. Friday morning, the Associated Press confirmed Williams’ reporting and naming Tsarnaev.

Born July 22, 1993, according to Williams, Tsarnaev attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, has a Massachusetts driver’s license, and has been in the country for around a decade.

The brother, although NBC initially reported he was 20, was 26 and named Tamerlan Tsarnaev. He became a legal permanent resident, according to NBC, in 2007. He maintained a YouTube page that focused on Sunni Islam and included a playlist named “terrorist.”

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s online profile is more secular, though his “World view” on Vkontakte, the Russian equivalent of Facebook, is listed as “Islam” and his “Personal priority” is “career and money.”

Tamerlan Tsarnaev died overnight in the firefight with police, suffering from “blast and potentially gunshot wounds … probably a blast injury [and] possibly shrapnel” throughout his trunk.

In 2011, Dzhokar Tsarnaev was recognized as a Cambridge Rindge and Latin School Greater Boston League Winter All Star:

He later graduated from the school:

A photo series sheds some insight into Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s views.

“Tamerlan Tsarnaev practices boxing at the Wai Kru Mixed Martial Arts center.”

“Originally from Chechnya, but living in the United States since five years, Tamerlan says: ‘I don’t have a single American friend, I don’t understand them.'”

“Tamerlan says he doesn’t drink or smoke anymore: ‘God said no alcohol.’ A Muslim, he says: ‘There are no values anymore,’ and worries that ‘people can’t control themselves.'”

Back in 2009, Tamerlan was boxing in regional tournaments in New England.

The Lowell Sun reports that he won his first fight in the U.S. in 2004.

Zubeidat K. Tsarnaeva, 45, who shares an address with the two men and could be their mother, was arrested last summer for shoplifting.

Natick Patch reported last June:

Loss prevention from Lord & Taylor called to report they had detained a shoplifter. Zubeidat K. Tsarnaeva, 45, of 410 Norfolk St., Apt. 3, Cambridge, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250 (women’s clothing valued at $1,624), and two counts of malicious/wanton damage/defacement to property.

AP: Arrest Imminent In Boston Bombing

BOSTON (AP) — A suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings is about to be arrested, a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation said Wednesday.

The official was not authorized to divulge details of the investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The suspect was to be taken into custody by federal marshals and taken to a Boston courthouse, the official said.

The official spoke shortly after several media outlets reported that a suspect had been identified from surveillance video taken at a Lord & Taylor store between the two bomb blasts.

An official news briefing was scheduled later Wednesday.

Law enforcement agencies had earlier pleaded for the public to come forward with photos, videos or any information that might help them solve the twin bombings that killed three people and wounded more than 170 on Monday.

Investigators circulated information about the bombs, which involved kitchen pressure cookers packed with explosives, nails and other lethal shrapnel. But the FBI said nobody had claimed responsibility.

A person close to the investigation had previously told AP the bombs consisted of explosives put in 1.6-gallon pressure cookers, one with shards of metal and ball bearings, the other with nails.

Possible Pictures Of Bag Containing Bomb And Suspect Running From Scene

The two sets of pictures below were obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta. The first set of pictures, a ‘before’ pic shows a bag placed by the barricades next to a mailbox. In the ‘after’ picture, the bag is gone.

————————————

The next set of pictures show a man running away from the area where the bag was placed. Although it is possible that he was scared because of what had just occurred, it is a bit strange that while everyone around him seemed shocked, covering their ears and bending down, this man is seen running away in the opposite direction.
