San Francisco Man Dies After Barrage of Bullets from Police – Video

Warning! The video below is graphic!

San Francisco police responded to a report of a stabbing and met this man on the sidewalk with a knife. The man, a 26-year-old named Mario Woods, is seen on the video surrounded by six police officers, still holding a knife in his hand. Police say the man refused to obey commands to drop the knife and was shot after he began walking in the direction of one of the officers.

Police say Woods is responsible for the stabbing of another man in the shoulder. That incident, according to police, happened about an hour before the encountered Woods.

14 San Francisco Cops “Take Down” Man with 1 Leg – Video

Someone reported the man was waving sticks around, so San Francisco cops descended on the man with one leg and held him down for 30 minutes according to an eye witness.

The “sticks” turned out to be the man’s crutches.

At least 14 officers helped in the takedown earlier this month, said Chaedria LaBouvier, a journalist who filmed the incident. The officers held down the man, who appeared to be homeless, for at least 30 minutes, LaBouvier wrote in a Monday post on Medium. He lay on the ground half-naked, his pants slipping off as he struggled with cops, and repeatedly asked, “What are you doing this for?” Witnesses told her the officers were responding to call about someone waving sticks downtown.

Restaurant Worker “Tenderizing” Meat by Slamming it on Dirty Sidewalk – Video

It happened at a Chinese restaurant in San Francisco. It happened at a Chinese restaurant I will not be going to anytime soon.

The video shot outside Lucky River, a Chinese restaurant in the city’s Sunnyside neighborhood appears to show a worker slamming slabs of frozen meat on the sidewalk.

KPIX showed the video to residents near the restaurant.

“That’s horrible,” said Steve Vender.

“The sidewalks have never been cleaned,” said London Lacey.

As to why anyone would be pounding the sidewalk with frozen slabs of meat, an inspector from the San Francisco Health Department paid a visit to Lucky River and said the worker was trying to defrost the meat.

KPIX checked out the exact portion of the sidewalk seen in the video and found it covered in blackened gum, cigarette butts, and foot-tracked bacteria of all gut-twisting varieties.

The owner of the restaurant told KPIX it was an isolated incident and that the meat was discarded and the cook has since been fired.

“It’s highly unsanitary, I don’t know how they’re gonna clean the meat off after that. They’re gonna wash it but it certainly doesn’t look very appealing,” said Vender.

Firefighters Rescued Girl, Then Accidentally Ran Over Her with Firetruck – Video

Video footage from the helmet of a rescuer on a plane crash in San Francisco last year appears to show emergency teams failing to assist a teenaged survivor, moments before she was accidentally run over by a fire truck.

Three passengers died when Asiana Airlines Flight 214 clipped a seawall with its landing gear, skidded off the runway and burst into flames at the end of an otherwise routine flight from Seoul to San Francisco on July 6.

One of the victims, Ye Mengyuan, 16, had been pulled alive from the plane and placed near one wing.

But the Chinese teenager was later run over and killed by a fire truck, which did not spot her lying under a layer of fire retardant foam. US prosecutors decided in October not to bring charges against the firefighter driving the truck.

CBS on Thursday broadcast segments of the video, allegedly obtained by a person close to the family of the victim.

Asiana Airlines Flight Crashes at San Francisco Airport; Two Killed, 181 Injured

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Officials investigating a jetliner crash in San Francisco have determined that Asiana Airlines Flight 214 was traveling “significantly below” its target speed as it approached the airport and that the crew tried to abort the landing just before it smashed onto the runway. What they don’t yet know is why, and whether the pilot’s inexperience with this type of aircraft and this airport played a role.

A day after the jetliner crash-landed in San Francisco, killing two people and injuring more than 180, officials said Sunday that the probe was also focusing on whether the airport or plane’s equipment could have also malfunctioned.

Also Sunday, San Mateo County Coroner Robert Foucrault said he was investigating whether one of the two teenage passengers killed actually survived the crash but was run over by a rescue vehicle rushing to aid victims fleeing the burning aircraft. Remarkably, 305 of 307 passengers and crew survived the crash and more than a third didn’t even require hospitalization. Only a small number were critically injured.

Bachmann Booed For Disagreeing With Occupy Wall Street

Maybe Michele should stick to her talking points, like “I am going to repeal obamacare,” or “Obama’s family are illegal aliens,” or “I own a small business, I know how to create jobs.” The Republican presidential hopeful went to San Francisco for a discussion with some supporters, but got booed when she veered off track.

Bachmann spoke about a variety of issues, drawing applause from the audience when she suggested disbanding the Department of Education and vowed to repeal No Child Left Behind.

But the crowd began to boo when the subject turned to the recent Occupy Wall Street protests.

Calling the activity “tremendously counterproductive,” the Republican presidential hopeful noted with disgust a recent poll that stated 98 percent of Occupy Wall Street protesters believed in civil disobedience. When moderator Dan Ashley mentioned that the original Tea Party — a group that Bachmann is affiliated with — encouraged civil disobedience, Bachmann replied, “At least the Tea Party picks up their own trash.”

So does the Occupy movement Bachmann, and we’re trying to start with the trash in Congress.
