Rudy Giuliani’s Ignorance on Full Display on Megyn Kelly’s Show – Video

I watched this clip a few times and saw nothing but a bitter old and ignorant man who, when given a chance to apologize for a dumb statement he made – a statement he knows is not true – chose to double down on his ignorance.

“I’m right about this, I have no doubt about it,” Giuliani said, referring to a previous statement that President Obama doesn’t love America or Americans. “I do not withdraw my words” he said proudly.

“To say that he doesn’t love america, I mean, that he could view foreign policy as a Democrat might view it and through a different lens than you or a Republican might see it, you can understand the differences between you,” Megyn Kelly of Fox News said to Giuliani. She then asked, “but to condemn his patriotism? To question his love of America?”

Another chance for Giuliani to come to terms with how dumb his statement was, but of course, he again doubled down saying he is not questioning Obama’s patriotism, but that he cannot find any instances where the president showed love for the country or where Mr. Obama called out America’s exceptionalism.

Maybe Giuliani hasn’t seen any instances where the president highlighted America’s exceptionalism because Giuliani doesn’t listen to the president. Exactly one month ago in his State of the Union Address, America was on full display throughout the president’s speech. Here is just a small sample of what the president had to say.

“I believe this because over and over in my six years in office, I have seen America at its best. I’ve seen the hopeful faces of young graduates from New York to California, and our newest officers at West Point, Annapolis, Colorado Springs, New London. I’ve mourned with grieving families in Tucson and Newtown, in Boston, in West Texas, and West Virginia. I’ve watched Americans beat back adversity from the Gulf Coast to the Great Plains, from Midwest assembly lines to the Mid-Atlantic seaboard. I’ve seen something like gay marriage go from a wedge issue used to drive us apart to a story of freedom across our country, a civil right now legal in states that seven in 10 Americans call home.

Just about every speech by Mr. Obama highlights America’s exceptionalism. But pointing this out to the likes of Mr. Giuliani would be a waste of time. Sometimes when someone shows their ignorance, you just have to let them wallow in it.

Wallow on Rudy, wallow on…
