Teaparty Father Will Vote for Liberal Son

Progressives have been gushing over the new political ad by Massachusetts State Rep. Carl Sciortino, which features the openly gay Democrat “coming  out” to his Tea Party father as a liberal.

Sciortino, who is running to replace Ed Markey in Massachusetts’ 5th District Congressional election, and his father both joined MSNBC’s Hardball to share insights into their multi-party family life. Carl Sciortino, Sr. joked that his son’s views took a left turn after he was “indoctrinated” as a student at Tufts University.

A proud Republican all his life (with a Republican father), Sciortino Sr. said he had only ever voted for one Democrat:  John F. Kennedy. If his son advances into the general election, he conceded that he’d break his long conservative streak and cast his ballot for the younger Sciortino.

“Yes, I would,” he told Chris Matthews, with a laugh. “He is my son. That was a secret, though.”

Mitt Romney Spends $55,000 For Car Elevators, But Vetoed a $40,000 Elevator For The Disabled

By now, you’ve all heard the news of Mitt Romney and the car elevators he had installed in his home. Car elevators – you know, that machine that brings his cars from their storage in his home to the street level. The price tag for such a luxury item is about $55,000, but apparently car elevators are a must have for the Republican presidential candidate.

But did you know that when Romney was governor in Massachusetts he vetoed multiple bills that would provide elevators to the disabled? The report;

On June 26, 2006 Romney vetoed an improvement project with the price tag of $40,000 with his line item veto. The project would have allocated the money to Woburn Development Authority for improvements to an elevator to meet the standards set in the ADA.

Also on that day Romney vetoed an additional $25,000 to the Braintree, Massachusetts Council on Aging. The money was again proposed to meet improvements with the ADA.

Romney justified the cuts saying the programs along with others he vetoed “would be nice to have, but which we cannot justify paying for out of rainy day funds. A smaller number of these projects are just pure pork.”

Flip Romney on Jobs – “It Would Be Silly To Expect Jobs After an Election. It Takes A While”

Again, another moment of hypocrisy. If a Republican is in power, then we must all sit back and wait for things to get better, but if a Democrat is in power, then he/she must get things going while being sworn in on inauguration day!

The video below shows Mitt Flip Romney explaining that it took him 11 months to get jobs created in Massachusetts – keep in mind that on the day Romney was elected as Governor of the state, Massachusetts was 36th in the nation in job creation. When he left office, Massachusetts fell to 47th.

But anyway, Romney was explaining why it was taking so long for him to create jobs as governor. His explanation was;

“if you’re going to suggest to me that somehow on the day I got elected somehow jobs should immediately turn around, why that would be silly! It takes a while to get things turned around.”

With today’s jobs numbers what they are – a slight gain of 80,000 jobs for the month of June – Flip Romney’s explanation is putting things in perspective.

New Ad – Mitt Romney Did Cut Taxes… On Millionaires Like Himself

Apparently, Mitt Romney was telling the truth all along. Yes, he definitely cut taxes when he was governor of Massachusetts, but the people who enjoyed the benefits of the Romney Tax Cuts was Romney himself and his very rich friends. For the rest of the state – also known as the middle class and the poor, Romney raised their taxes and instituted over 1000 fees – on everything from school bus rides, Nurses, Hospitals and Funeral Homes.

Well of course the fees went up. Someone had to pay for the Tax Cuts he received!

Mitt Romney Thought He Destroyed All The Evidence From His Governorship, But…

So you want to know about Mitt Romney’s economic plan for America? Well in addition to listening to Romney himself, another good  place to look would be in Massachusetts. But wait, you say you can’t really find any information on Romney because he purchased all the computers used during his tenure and destroyed their harddrives? Okay, then it seems old Mittens has something to hide.

Thank goodness though, Romney couldn’t destroy all the evidence of his failed term as governor. There are still People around – those souls who served under his administration are still around and guess what? They know how to talk!

Listen to some of the stories from the people who knew and worked with Mitt.

A Moment Of Laughter – Romney Aide Says Romney Created More Jobs Than Obama LOL!

Appearing on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Show today, Mitt Romney’s senior campaign adviser said that Mitt Romney created more jobs during his time as Massachusetts Governor, than President Obama created nationwide. Said Eric Fehrnstrom, Romney’s adviser;

“With respect to Mitt Romney’s period of time as the governor of Massachusetts — in that four years as governor he created between 30k and 40k jobs. That is more than President Obama has created for the entire nation. And at Bain Capital, of course the mission was to create value, that’s how the free enterprise system works, but when you create value, when you add value as they did in trying to improve companies, you also add employment, and a rough back-of-the-envelope estimate of how many jobs they created is well in excess of 100,000.”

The Hill is reporting that “Romney made a similar claim early in the Republican primary season, but seemed to walk the number down after it was challenged by his GOP presidential rivals. At later points during the cycle, Romney has said he created “tens of thousands” or “thousands” of jobs.

The Romney campaign has not detailed the method it’s using to come to these estimates, but critics say Romney is taking credit for jobs created after his tenure, not subtracting out jobs that were eliminated after his tenure, or taking credit for business deals that he had little to do with.”

But here are some figures everyone can understand, everyone that is, except Mitt Romney and his coons. CNN took a look at just one of President Obama’s policy initiative – the original Stimulus. The report found that:

The stimulus bill passed by Democrats in 2009 with almost universal Republican criticism was split into three parts: Just over $200 billion in tax cuts, about $300 billion in direct spending on projects and other aid to states, and just under $300 billion in social safety-net spending through items such as extended unemployment benefits and health insurance subsidies.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that the parts of the program that got the most criticism — actual spending on projects and aid packages — was the most effective in creating jobs.

Tax cuts for middle income workers were less effective while tax cuts for the wealthy were deemed the least effective.

Still, the CBO estimates that at least 1.4 million jobs were created and saved by the direct spending alone, and that as many as 3.6 million jobs were produced while stimulus funds were being spent.

And that’s just on the Stimulus. Not being counted in this 3.6 million figure are the jobs created or saved from the auto bailout, or the jobs gained from the 17 different tax cuts the president signed for small businesses. Compare 3.6 million jobs created by the Obama Administration to the “30 to 40 thousand” created by Romney. Anyone with common sense and the most basic knowledge of Math knows which figure is higher. Romney and his surrogates however, are content in preaching to their base.

Elizabeth Warren Raises Twice as Much as Scott Brown in Quarter

Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren (D) has posted another mammoth fundraising quarter, raising $6.9 million in the first three months of the year, more than double the $3.4 million haul of Republican Sen. Scott Brown.

Warren raised $5.7 million in the fourth quarter on 2011, teeing up sky-high expectations for the first three months of 2012. But once, again, she’s set a new precedent for fundraising prowess.

Warren campaign manager Mindy Myers said that 83 percent of Warren’s donations since Jan. 1 have been $50 or less.

Mitt Romney – My Only Connection to the Republican Party is my Registration Card

Move on folks, nothing new to see here. All we’re showing in this video clip is yet another episode of Mitt Romney denouncing something he now stands for, an act better known as the Flip Flop – something Mitt Romney has mastered.

In this case, Mitt Romney is turning his back on the Republican party, saying the only connection he had to Republicans was that he’s a “registered Republican.” He even considered running against another fellow Republican in Massachusetts.

But that was then in 2002. This is now and of course, now he’s “severely conservative!”

Newt Gingrich To Mitt Romney – Liar Liar Pants On Fire

The only time in Newt Gingrich’s political career that he decided to go clean and not destroy his opponents with negative ads caused Gingrich to be demolished by negative ads against him. In the month of December, Gingrich went from leading the Republicans with 26% to barely polling ahead of Rick Perry with only 13% of the Republican voters.

After trying to walk the straight and narrow path, Gingrich today showed a glimpse of how he built his political career – through being down-right nasty, calling Willard Romney a liar!

Tired, frustrated and irritated, by his own account, Mr. Gingrich heartily agreed when a television interviewer asked him Tuesday if he was calling Mr. Romney a “liar” in claiming to be a conservative.

“Here’s a Massachusetts moderate,” Mr. Gingrich said, whose “Romneycare” health plan when Mr. Romney was governor of Massachusetts included taxpayer-paid abortions and put a Planned Parenthood official on a state health  board — red-cape issues for social conservatives.

Newt Gingrich Teaching The Benefits Of The Individual Mandate – Video

Once upon a time, in a world far far away… it must have been somewhere around 200… there lived a man called Newt Gingrich. This man was a Republican politician who actively advocated for the individual mandate – requiring that everyone must have some kind oh health insurance.

Then magically, a Democratic president was sworn into office in 2009. He enacted the individual mandate that Newt wanted and Republicans, including Newt, turned their backs against everything they once held dear – including the individual mandate.

The end… of a Republican party that once stood for something.

Elizabeth Warren Takes The Lead In Massachusetts

Elizabeth Warren, a true Democratic voice of the people, has taken her first lead against the Republican incumbent, Scott Brown.

Democrat Elizabeth Warren has opened up a lead against Republican incumbent Scott Brown for the first time in their U.S. Senate showdown, but a barrage of attack ads appears to have damaged Warren and Brown’s standing among Massachusetts voters, a new University of Massachusetts at Lowell/Boston Herald poll shows.

Warren leads Brown by a 49-42 percent margin, outside the poll’s margin of error of plus or minus 5.3 percentage points. That number includes voters who say they are “leaning” for either candidate. But even without the “leaners,” Warren still leads by a 46-41 percent margin, barely within the margin of error.

We have to believe that the late Ted Kennedy, the previous Democratic occupant of that Massachusetts Senate seat, would have wanted it no other way.

Mitt Romney Weaves A Tangled Web Of Lies And Deceit

Oh Mitt! Why are you so filled with deceit? You criticized Rick Perry in a previous debate for providing “magnets” of “extraordinary government benefits” to undocumented immigrants in this country, but as it turns out, you too Mitty Romney are guilty of doing the very same thing you accused Perry of.

Perry provides the undocumented with education benefits, and you Mr. Romney, provides them with health care.

The Massachusetts healthcare law that then-Gov. Mitt Romney signed in 2006 includes a program known as the Health Safety Net, which allows undocumented immigrants to get needed medical care along with others who lack insurance.

Uninsured, poor immigrants can walk into a health clinic or hospital in the state and get publicly subsidized care at virtually no cost to them, regardless of their immigration status.

The program, widely supported in Massachusetts, drew little attention when Romney signed the trailblazing healthcare law.

What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!
