This incident comes shortly after the Governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, signed two pro-gun bills, while vetoing another.
With the newly signed piece of legislation, courts in Arizona can fine cities and counties up to $50,000 if they violate the state statute that prevents the local regulation of firearms. In addition, any school governing board in Arizona is now forbidden to ban someone residing near a school campus to legally possess a firearm.
Somebody in the Santander Bank on Broadway near 37th Street in Queens New York needs to be fired… or arrested. I think they were in on this holdup.
A man, armed with nothing but a note drove his getaway ride – a wheelchair – right up to a teller at the Queens bank, showed his note demanding cash and made his getaway – in the wheelchair – with $1200.00
Police are looking for the man… wearing a gray hoodie. Apparently, once he made his way out of the bank, he just blended in with the crowd. I’m wondering if someone helped him with the door.
The robbery happened in broad daylight, around 2 pm on Monday. The man is still on the run…um…on a roll that is!
That a newspaper will be forced to make this type of a correction, shows the level to which we have plunged to in “news” reporting in America.
The North Carolina newspaper reportedly published the following correction — which the Houston Chronicle called “one of the nuttiest corrections of the year” — last week:
Republicans, these are your leaders.
Republican congressman Kerry Bentivolio is set to appear at a right-wing conference taking place May 16-18 with an activist who believes President Obama should be killed.
“The Freedom Summit: Prepare to Govern!,” organized by the Michigan Conservative Political Action Conference, is hosting the Michigan congressman along with Jim Garrow, a conservative conspiracy theorist who claims he used to be a US intelligence agent.
Other scheduled speakers include Paul Vallely, the former general who floated leading an anti-Obama “revolution”; RNC Committeeman Dave Agema, notorious for his anti-gay remarks; anti-Obama conspiracy theorist Trevor Loudon…
Garrow has appeared on several fringe media outlets to promote his claim that Obama plotted to kill 300 million people through a nuclear EMP attack on America, which he said was attempted at the behest of George Soros.
He even alleged that the Obama administration is preparing to launch a new anti-American plot with the help of aliens and Canadian troops, warning that Obama seeks “to wipe us out.”
Garrow has claimed that President Obama and administration officials are “guilty of treason” and therefore “you’re supposed to hang them.” “Obama himself has been a traitor and been involved in treason against the Republic, for which you know the penalty is death,” he said.
Yep. You heard that right. Condoleezza Rice, one of the main authors of this country’s biggest foreign policy failures, falsifying information to start a war in Iraq where hundreds of thousands of people were killed, has the nerve to talk about Benghazi, and insinuated that there might be a cover-up by the Obama administration.
In an interview with Ozy.com published Thursday, Rice said the public still has questions about the security situation in the lead-up to the attacks and the circumstances on the ground during the attacks.
“I think there are unanswered questions and they could be easily answered. But I think they need to be answered,” Rice said.
Rice, who was the nation’s chief diplomat during the administration of George W. Bush, expressed optimism that the committee House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) recently tasked with investigating the September 2012 attacks on diplomatic outposts could answer the outstanding questions.
“When the House says that it wishes to investigate something, it has a right to do that. And so I think done in the right way with the right cooperation we can put this to rest and that’s how I would handle it at this point,” she said.
This one happened in China. In what appears to be an argument or a fight between a few adults, the two year old is seen standing, watching the entire incident unfold. A few minutes later, the man comes running outside, grabs the infant and tosses the child as he makes his escape.
After tossing the child and running off, another individual chases after the man, but according to reports, the man is still at large.
The baby lived, but sustained serious injuries and is now under observation at a hospital.
Fox News announced on Friday that it has signed Cain on as a contributor.
“Cain’s impressive resume makes him a valuable addition to the Fox News and Fox Business lineup. As a political expert with business savvy, he brings an important voice to the nation’s debates,” Bill Shine, Fox News Channel executive vice president of programming, said in a statement.
Cain, a former president and CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, first ran for president in 2000, ran for U.S. Senate in Georgia in 2004, and then made a national splash in his 2012 campaign for president during which he became famous for relentlessly promoting his “9-9-9” tax plan.
Thinking he could have had a reasonable discussion or debate with a gun fanatic, CNN’s Piers Morgan got the man who started the “Deport Piers Morgan” petition on the White House website, to agree to come to his show. The goal was to present the two sides of the debate on gun control, but Morgan got more than he bargained for after he asked the first question, “why do you want to deport me?”
The man’s name is Alex Jones, and responding to Morgan’s question, Mr. Jones began by explaining that the purpose of the Second Amendment to the Constitution is not for gun owners to “go duck hunting,” but rather to protect Americans from “tyrannical governments and street thugs.”
That was the only question Mr. Morgan got to ask, as Mr. Jones went on a shouting match with himself, claiming that the reason the government is “trying to take our guns” is to achieve “world tyranny.”
Showing a few pieces of paper that he called ” FBI Crime Statistics,” Mr. Jones’ voice began to rise when he spoke about other leaders who “took the guns.” As his shouting continue, Jones came to his climax when he proclaimed;
“Hitler took the guns Stalin took the guns, Mao took the guns, Fidel Castro took the guns, Hugo Chavez took the guns, and I’m here to tell you, 1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms! Doesn’t matter how many lemmings you get out there on the street, begging for ’em to have their guns taken. We will not relinquish them. Do you understand?! That’s why you’re going to fail, and the establishment knows, no matter how much propaganda, the republic will rise again!”
Video.
After the commercial break, the crazy continued. Morgan tried to lay down some ground rules – I ask the questions, you answer. But his first question after the break sent Jones back on his trip.
Last year when the so-called grassroots Teaparty started, multiple videos of them making threats against Liberals and Democrats began popping up online. The Teaparty however, tried unsuccessfully to maintain their civility towards the other side of the Political aisle, but the videos kept coming.
Well that was then. Today, The Teaparty is not even concerned about appearing violent. They openly praise Texas governor Rick Perry when he bragged about executing the most people in our nation’s history, and they applauded and called for the death of a person who has no health care insurance, but need extensive medical care.
And then this. Andrew Breitbart, a favorite Teaparty conservative media personality, addressed a Teaparty crowd and shared his innermost feelings towards Liberals and unions. Breitbart is heard saying, “we outnumber them in this country, and we have the guns.” After the audience began laughing, Breitbart exclaimed, “I’m not kidding!”
Okay. This post is not going to be very long. Get this… hold your laughter… Michele Bachmann thinks Democrats will be “terribly afraid of a Michele Bachmann candidacy for president of the United States.”
The Associated Press is reporting the Bachmann claim came after the Republican presidential wannabe toured the New Hampshire Statehouse. Bachmann then headed for a “Road to the White House” interview at WXKL-FM radio station, where she said this;
“I think that comparison shows me very favorable compared to the current president of the United States,” she said.
If she runs, Bachmann said she will emphasize how her background as a lawyer, business owner and mother makes her most qualified to turn the economy around.
“I’ve got that background, of being a person who worked my way through college,” she said. “We’re self-made people — I get it.”
Keith Olberman… yes, that Keith Olbermann – has been keeping up on the nonsense that is today’s Republican party. Here, in this Worst Persons Of The Day edition, our favorite orange, John Boehner wins hands down.
