Once Again It’s On – The Jay Z Medallion Controversy

The first time he was spotted with the medallion, they said he hated white people. The medallion it seems, represents the ‘Five-Percent Nation’ – a fraction of The Nation of Islam that believes that black men are superior beings, Gods, creators of the universe.

Well a year later, Jay was seen at a Nets game, sporting the same medallion and again, the controversy is in full effect.

This is how the New York Post began their reporting on Jay’s wardrobe.

Black people are the fathers and mothers of civilization, white men are the devil, the Christian god is nothing more than a ghost and only a small percentage of people understand the world.

These are just some of the beliefs behind the bling — the gaudy Five Percent Nation medallions worn by Jay Z and Carmelo Anthony.

And here I am, thinking he was a ranking member of the Illuminati.
