Breaking: Bryan Fischer is Fired from “American Family Association”

As reported by Rachel Maddow, Bryan Fischer, the man who was the face and voice of the Conservative organization, The American Family Association, and the man who is well known as a Republican/Christian-Conservative hate-monger, has lost his job with the group because of statements he recently made against Jews and gays.

According to Maddow’s reporting, Bryan Fischer and his group paid for a trip to Israel for the Republican National Committee after Fischer made some disparaging remarks about the Jewish people and gays. Speaking about Jews, Fischer referred to their religion as a “counterfeit religion” and said that Christianity is the only religion in the United States covered under the First Amendment.

“Counterfeit religion,  alternative religions to Christianity have no First Amendment right to the free expression of Religion,” Fischer said. He also went on talking about the Holocaust being done by Hitler and gay people.

According to Tim Wildmon, the President of the American Family Accociation, “Bryan Fischer is just a talk show host,” and is no longer associated with the American Family Association. Mr. Wildmon told the Maddow show that “the soundbite quotes, you know, the Hitler and homosexuality one” were the quotes that broke the camel’s back.

Maddow explains below.

Republican Nut Bryan Fischer – Jesus Would Support The Use of Torture – Video

That this man is even considered a leader in the Christian arena is in itself a travesty.

In recent writings, Bryan Fischer of The American Family Association, said that liberals “would drag the Bible’s heroes before the courts at Nuremberg and charge them with crimes against humanity” and suggesting on his radio program that Jesus would support the use of torture in a time of war.

Fischer argued on his radio program today that the Bible makes certain things permissible during times of war that would not be permissible during times of peace, adding that Jesus is a “warrior” who would probably approve of torture.

“Christianity is not a pacifist religion,” Fischer said. “The God that we serve is described in Exodus 15 as a ‘man of war.’ Now we often think of gentle Jesus, meek and mild, but let’s not forget, according to Romans 19:13, when he comes back … he will be riding a white horse and wearing his own robe, dipped in blood. That is a robe that is worn by a warrior who is inflicting casualties on the foe. So this is gentle Jesus, meek and mild; when we comes back, his robe is going to be dipped in blood because he too is a warrior”

Republican Nut Bryan Fischer – America is a Christian Nation Because we Sell Bacon

Pure Insanity! I have no more words for these folks. If he was really a Christian and this is the argument he wanted to make, am I to believe that Fischer couldn’t come up with something better than bacon? Bacon?!?

Listen to Bryan Fischer as he discussed bacon and Christianity on his radio show.

“You want one single item of proof that America is a Christian nation and not a Jewish nation and not an Islamic nation?” he asked. “One single bit of proof is all you need: we freely allow restaurants and grocery stores to sell and to serve bacon. That can only happen in a Christian country.”

“So the sheer fact that we freely allow the sale and consumption of bacon,” he said, “is absolute proof that we are, in fact, a Christian nation”

I am totally speechless. It is amazing that these people have a following, both Religiously and politically. There are people in this nation genuinely looking for some sort of guidance, but Bacon is all the likes of Bryan Fischer and his conservative media friends can afford. Bacon is all they are able to bring to the table.

Bacon in, Bacon out! That should be the Republicans mantra!

Bryan Fischer Says Jesus Will Take A Whip To Occupy Wall Street

One thing we know from his teachings is that Jesus identified with the poor, the hungry, the sick and the meek. Throughout the Bible, Jesus catered to the poor, fed the hungry, healed the sick and He had a special words for the meek, in that “they shall inherit the earth.”

But don’t tell this to Bryan Fischer. The leader of the American Family Association – a right winged “Christian” conservative group – said the people protesting against a rigged system designed to take from the poor and give to the rich, will be whipped by Jesus. Fischer wrote, “Jesus took a whip to the thieves and the covetous in his day. If he were to come back and do the same thing today, he just might start in Zuccotti Park.”

Here’s his full statement;

A CNN anchor asked earlier this week whether or not Jesus would occupy Wall Street.

That question can be answered with a categorical “No.”

First, Jesus has no truck with rank, blatant hypocrites. The OWS crowd has now fallen to squabbling over who gets a slice of the $500,000 which has been donated to them, and which, by the way, they put in one of the evil, greedy banks they are out to destroy.

Secondly, Jesus has no truck with those whose entire agenda is to flagrantly disobey two of the Ten Commandments of God.

God said, “Thou shalt not steal,” a commandment Jesus affirmed on numerous occasions. Stealing is wrong, and it doesn’t make it right when government does it under color of law.

And the OWS crowd is animated by a thoroughly ugly disregard for the 10th Commandment as well. God says, “Thou shalt not covet…any thing that is thy neighbor’s.” And yet the Occupiers are driven by a dark, bitter, resentful, angry and acquisitive greed for stuff that belongs to other people.

I submit that no political program that is predicated on a violation of twenty percent of God’s moral law can possibly be right, can possibly work, or can possibly be good for America.

Jesus took a whip to the thieves and the covetous in his day. If he were to come back and do the same thing today, he just might start in Zuccotti Park.

In other words, he might occupy Wall Street after all.

Interesting take on things Bryan. But your views don’t match what’s presented in the Bible. According to Luke Chapter 6 verse 20 to 26, Jesus spoke to his disciples and said;

“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.

23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.

24 “But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.
25 Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry.
Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.
26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you,
for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.

Keep on Occupiers. Your deeds are for the poor. Exactly what Jesus would have done.

Republican Newt Gingrich Give $150,000 To Hate Group

The Associated Press reported this week that Newt Gingrich – the morality standard of the Republican party who broke the news to his first wife that he was leaving her for another woman while she lay in a hospital bed recovering from an illness- funneled $125,000 dollars to an organization classified as a hate group by Southern Poverty Law Center.

The group called American Family Association – whose director Bryan Fischer, has demonstrated a documented bias against gays, lesbians and American Indians – used the funds to successfully oust three supreme court judges in Iowa in the 2010 elections. The supreme court judges had previously voted to legalize same-sex marriage in Iowa.

Reporting from Southern Poverty Law Center:

The story of Gingrich’s below-the-radar assistance to Iowa for Freedom started to dribble out on March 3, when The Los Angeles Times reported that Gingrich helped the organization get its start, offering strategic advice and arranging a $200,000 gift from an anonymous donor. The remaining $150,000, the AP reported, was raised in the form of donations to Renewing American Leadership (ReAL), a nonprofit group Gingrich founded that promotes his books, TV appearances, and films. It was ReAL Action, an arm of ReAL, that reportedly gave $125,000 of that $150,000 to AFA Action, the political wing of AFA. The final $25,000 was given by ReAL Action to Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition. Both AFA Action and Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition then supported Iowa for Freedom’s efforts, the AP said

Newt is just keeping in line with what seems to be the accepted behavior of today’s Republican party. More to come…
