Bill Cosby To Be Released from Jail

The AP is reporting that Pennsylvania’s highest court overturned Bill Cosby’s sex assault conviction Wednesday after finding an agreement with a previous prosecutor prevented him from being charged in the case.

Cosby has served more than two years of a three- to 10-year sentence at a state prison near Philadelphia. He had vowed to serve all 10 years rather than acknowledge any remorse over the 2004 encounter with accuser Andrea Constand.

He was charged in late 2015, when a prosecutor armed with newly unsealed evidence — Cosby’s damaging deposition from her lawsuit — arrested him days before the 12-year statute of limitations expired.

The court said that District Attorney Kevin Steele, who made the decision to arrest Cosby, was obligated to stand by his predecessor’s promise not to charge Cosby when he later gave potentially incriminating testimony in Constand’s civil suit. There was no evidence that promise was ever put in writing.

Lawsuit Against Bill Cosby Dismissed

The Pittsburgh woman who brought a defamation lawsuit against Comedian Actor Bill Cosby back in October, saw her suit dismissed on Thursday by a federal judge. The lawsuit alleged that when Bill Cosby and his representatives denied he sexually assaulted her and the other women, his denial in essence called her a liar, thus, defaming her.

Thursday’s decision dismisses the October lawsuit filed by 48-year-old Renita Hill with prejudice. That means she cannot try to amend and re-file the lawsuit.

Hill went public with her allegations in November 2014. She sued Cosby, saying she was made out to be a “liar” and “extortionist” when the comedian, his wife and his attorney issued blanket denials to claims that Cosby drugged and molested several women.

The judge agreed with Cosby’s attorneys that the statements were opinions protected by the First Amendment.
Hill’s attorney promised to appeal. Cosby’s representatives have yet to comment.

Bill Cosby went to court today, hours after a felony sexual assault charge was brought against him. Minutes after the 78-year-old entertainer exited the courtroom where a judge issued a $1 million bail, Cosby was escorted to the police station where his mug shot was taken.

Bill Cosby was charged today for a 2004 incident, where it is alleged that he drugged a woman at his home in Philadelphia and then proceeded to fondle and sexually assault her. He is due back in court for preliminary hearing on January 14th.

Right on the verge of the expiration of a 12 year statute of limitations in Pennsylvania – a time frame that was about to expire in January – PA District Attorney brought charges against entertainer Bill Cosby, for an incident that allegedly happened at Cosby’s home in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania in 2004.

Prosecutors say the comedian urged the former Temple University employee to take pills he had and to drink wine. Kevin Steele, Montgomery County’s first assistant district attorney, says the woman was paralyzed and unable to respond to his advances – and that Cosby committed aggravated indecent assault.

Steele says recently released excerpts from Cosby’s deposition in a civil lawsuit led to the renewed investigation.

Steele says that after seeing the deposition material “reopening this case was not a question, rather it was our duty.”

Cosby’s lawyer declined to comment on the charge before the announcement. The 78-year-old comedian said under oath that he had consensual sexual contact with the woman.

Apparently, Bill Cosby will not go quietly into the night. The disgraced actor is fighting back by filing a lawsuit against his accusers claiming they have damaged him.

Cosby just countersued the women, claiming they have made “malicious, opportunistic, false and defamatory accusations of sexual misconduct against him.”

The comedian is claiming emotional distress against Tamara Green, Therese Serignese, Linda Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie … claiming the allegations of drugging and then sexually assaulting them is flatly untrue.

Cosby claims the motivation of the women was to torpedo his television return. Cosby had signed with NBC to star in a new family comedy series, and he says when the women got wind of it they trumped up phony allegations. He also says they’re just in it for the money.

Why is this video coming out now? Well it seems that some, if not all of the women accusing him of sexual misconduct, were apparently telling the truth. Newly revealed court records show Cosby admitting that he used drugs on some of the women he wanted to have sex with.

So maybe this song explains the reason for his actions with these women.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner on Bill Cosby Allegations – “painful to watch my mentor go through this”

One of the staples of The Cosby Show, ‘Theo Huxtable,’ broke his silence on the many sexual allegations against Bill Cosby, saying that although hearing women talk about sexual abuse is “painful,” Jamal Warner said that seeing and hearing the things coming out against his friend and mentor is “just as painful.”

“He’s one of my mentors, and he’s been very influential and played a big role in my life as a friend and mentor,” Warner, who once played Theo Huxtable, told Billboard magazine in an interview published Wednesday.

“Just as it’s painful to hear any woman talk about sexual assault, whether true or not, it’s just as painful to watch my friend and mentor go through this,” he added.

Warner went on to talk about Cosby’s personal kindness to him, the comedian’s television legacy, and “[w]hat he’s done for the black community and education.”

“That’s the Bill Cosby I know,” he said. “I can’t speak on the other stuff.”

Bill Cosby Jokes with Woman – “You Should Be Careful Drinking Around Me”

“America’s favorite dad” has been on the receiving end of some bad press recently since numerous women came forward accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting them. But the 77-year-old comedian is apparently not fazed by all the negative press. He is not allowing those allegations to slow him down.

During a performance before a crowd last night in Ontario, Cosby saw a woman leave her seat and began exiting the auditorium. He asked where she was going to which she replied, “getting a drink.” She then asked Cosby if he wanted a drink too. Cosby replied that he already had one then told the woman, “but, you know, you should be careful drinking around me,” as reported by Richard Warnica, a reporter from the National Post in Toronto.

“The whole audience sort of ‘Ohhhed,'” Warnica added. “It was just this sort of shocking moment.”

Shortly after the joke, a heckler yelled during the performance and was removed. The heckler was in addition to more than 100 protesters who were outside the arena last night.

After the show, Cosby released a new statement from his publicist, saying “One outburst but over 2600 loyal, patient and courageous fans enjoyed the most wonderful medicine that exist for human-kind. Laughter. I thank you… I’m Far From Finished.”

Cosby has denied any allegations of wrongdoing ever since allegations first surfaced in 2004. More women came forward late last year, to which his lawyer released a statement early on saying, “The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true.”

Bill Cosby To Make TV Comeback In New NBC Family Comedy

Bill Cosby has a new project up his sleeves for all you TV fans that miss your weekly dose of Cliff, Clair and the entire Huxtable gang.

While it’s not exactly the “Cosby Show,” the iconic entertainer plans to make a comeback on NBC, three decades later, with a new multi-generational family sitcom. According to Deadline, Cosby will star in the half-hour comedy and reunite with “Cosby Show” producer Tom Werner.

“The new comedy will be built around Cosby, who will play the patriarch of a multi-generational family and, like the comedian’s previous family sitcoms – “Cosby Show” and “Cosby” on CBS — “The Cosby Show” will channel his take on marriage and parenting,” Deadline reports. “Cosby and Werner are meeting with writers on the project, which has been put on off-season development track.”

Cosby shared details about the upcoming show with Yahoo TV in November. “They would like to see a married couple that acts like they love each other, warts and all, children who respect the parenting, and the comedy of people who make mistakes. Warmth and forgiveness,” he said. “So I hope to get that opportunity, and I will deliver the best of Cosby.”

And to add icing on the cake, the 76-year-old star is also working to reboot his popular 1970’s animated series “Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids.”

It’s important that this man has had to fight a similar battle of a black person in America. Hundreds of thousands and millions of people still behind him, but people who are very quietly acting like they have no idea what he inherited.
