Hollywood hellion Charlie Sheen is HIV-positive and will reveal his status in a shock announcement on NBC’s “Today” show Tuesday morning.
Sheen, 50, will speak to NBC’s Matt Lauer live in studio to deliver his news, a source told the Daily News Monday.
In a separate report Monday, The National Enquirer said Sheen has been safeguarding his HIV status for years while living a high-profile life as a TV star, dating a conga line of adult entertainers and coining crazy catchphrases.
“Charlie thought he was indestructible and took no precautions — even though he was indulging in high-risk sex practices,” an unidentified friend reportedly told The Enquirer
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey – a show called Where Are The Now – former child star of the television hit show Who’s the Boss, Danny Pintauro, revealed that he has HIV.
“I’m HIV-positive,” Pintauro said. “And I have been for 12 years.”
Pintauro played Judith Light’s precocious son, Jonathan, on the popular Tony Danza sitcom “Who’s the Boss?” that aired from 1984 until 1992 on ABC.
Pintauro, 39, told Winfrey he wanted to share his health status “a long time ago,” but wasn’t ready. He said he decided to share it now to serve as a role model for the gay community.
“It’s just a big deal. It’s not something that people are talking about right now really,” he said.
He shared that he was diagnosed in March 2003 while living in New York. At the time he was “completely clueless” that he had the virus, he said.
Pintauro, who now lives in Las Vegas, explained that the diagnosis actually came with a sense of relief. “It’s backwards. You’ve spent so much time terrified that you’re going to get it, and then you have it. You don’t have to be terrified anymore.”
Pintauro came out as gay in 1997 after the National Enquirer told him it was planning to out him.
Now I’m not sure what tests Pat Robertson conducted, or how many Kenyan towels he personally checked for the AIDS virus, but Robertson is going out informing his audience that yes, you can in fact get AIDS from a Kenyan’s towel.
And you thought human beings were the most advanced species.
Robertson was responding to the concerns of a missionary who wanted to travel to Africa to help the people. The person expressed concerns about the present dangers and diseases like ebola, but stated that they are not concerned because they will be doing God’s will. But the person did not want to be presumptuous. They wanted to make sure that they were doing the right thing and not testing God.
Pat Robertson answered, “Not in Kenya. You might get AIDS in Kenya, the people have AIDS. You got to be careful, the towels can have AIDS.”
A Kenyan woman (pictured) who claims a man raped and infected her with HIV at a party recently admitted to sleeping with more than 300 men in revenge, the Kenyan Daily Postreports.
The woman, who remains anonymous, shared her story through her Facebook page “Kenyan Scandals.”
“I’m 19 and a 2nd year here at Kabarak Uni,” she said. “I joined this college a virgin; though I’ve had boyfriends before, my parents are strict so having sex was never on my mind.”
But that apparently changed late last year during a visit to a club.
“Sep 22nd 2013 is a day I’ll never forget. We went clubbing in town and got drunk with some senior students then went back [to] hostels for party round 2,” she continued. However, she woke up naked the next day to a man named Javan.
Upon asking if they’d used a condom for intercourse, Javan said yes. However, the woman soon noticed sperm near her vaginal area while taking a bath.
I wanted to commit suicide, she shared. I feared getting pregnant [and] HIV, took contras [and] hoped I was HIV-free. Unfortunately, that was not the case: In November I tested HIV [positive]. I felt like cutting off my neck.
She confronted Javan who claimed he was HIV-negative.
I was so depressed and took alcohol to die, I even bought poison, the pain was just unbearable; how was I [going to] face the world? I let my parents down, I gave up on the world and just wanted to end my life. My future had been ruined, somehow someone had to pay.
She reportedly began exacting revenge by sleeping with as many men as possible. To date, she claims, she has slept with 324 men.
Not a day passes without me having sex, mostly 4 people per day,” she stated. “Nothing will stop me from accomplishing my mission by continuing to sleep around, you never know but maybe you have slept with me or your husband, boyfriend, brother, father or any has slept with me.
The woman’s eventual plan is to infect 2,000 men with the virus before year’s end, according to XNaija.
One commenter on the Kenyan Daily Post says he has slept with the woman:
OMG! I know this lady! the commenter typed. I’ve done it with her more than thrice since Jan this year! Lady, you didn’t have to do this to me. Revenging on the wrong people is unfair. I’m confused.
Some people are just racists, and there is nothing we can do to change that. I’ve now come to that realization. Yes, I know that racism exists, but come on, we’re knocking on the door of 2014… and we’re still dealing with this ignorance? And what’s even worse, there is no end in sight.
Twitter and other social media sites were all buzzing a little more than usual on Friday, and I needed to find out why. A few seconds later, I came upon this tweet by Justine Sacco:
Who is Justine Sacco? Well first of all she is a racist, apparently unaware that things posted on a social media website is not the same as writing in her personal diary. Secondly, she is a public relations officer and senior director of corporate communications at InterActiveCorp (more commonly known as IAC), a Media company that owns Match.com, Vimeo and CollegeHumor.com, among others.
The tweet above was made as Justine boarded a flight to Africa and by the time she landed, her Twitter account was deleted but her tweet had already gone viral, as people all over the world voiced their disgust at the so-call humor of Miss Sacco. But her boss did not find the tweet funny. IAC, trying to separate the company from their racist employee, quickly issued this statement:
“This is an outrageous, offensive comment that does not reflect the views and values of IAC. Unfortunately, the employee in question is unreachable on an international flight, but this is a very serious matter and we are taking appropriate action.”
IAC, who also owns other popular sites like About.com, OkCupid and Urbanspoon, took further steps and removed Justine’s name from their Contact page.
Some are saying that Justine’s twitter account could have been hacked, that someone took her cell phone for example and tweeted out that message. But some digging from Buzzfeed found more offensive tweets, spanning over two years.
Buzzfeed dug these tweets up before Justine’s account mysteriously disappeared. Tweets like;
We can tell this one is not going to fade away anytime soon, as the world awaits IAC’s decision on Justine Sacco. Waiting for Palin and Republicans to somehow use this as a political strategy to “protect free speech!”
