Obama Orders a “Full Review” Of Russia’s Hacking of US Presidential Election

The Hill is reporting that President Barack Obama has ordered a “full review” before he leaves office of the cyberattacks that plagued this year’s presidential election, a top White House official said Friday.

The announcement by Lisa Monaco, Obama’s counterterrorism and homeland security adviser, follows repeated demands from congressional Democrats for more information about the digital assault that the Obama administration has blamed on Russia.

“We may be crossed into a new threshold and it is incumbent upon us to take stock of that, to review, to conduct some after-action, to understand what this means, what has happened and to impart those lessons learned,” Monaco told reporters at a breakfast arranged by the Christian Science Monitor.

Monaco would not commit to making the findings of the review public, but did say that it would be shared with “a range of stakeholders,” including members of Congress.

“That’s going to be first and foremost a determination that’s made by the intelligence community,” she said. “We want to do so very attentive to not disclosing sources and methods that may impede our ability to identify and attribute malicious actors in the future.”

Carrier Confirms – Some of Jobs Trump “Saved” Will Be Done by Machines

Now the details of the 1100… no the 1000… no, the 800 jobs Trump paid millions to keep in America are coming out. The company is now saying that some of those 800 jobs will be lost to automation.

Carrier will eventually lose some of the 800 jobs President-elect Donald Trump fought to save at the air conditioning and heater manufacturer’s Indianapolis plant, according to a new report.

United Technologies, Carrier’s corporate parent, is admitting its $16 million investment in the facility may ultimately replace some jobs with automation, CNBC said Friday.

“We’re going to…automate to drive the cost down so that we can continue to be competitive,” United Technologies CEO Greg Hayes said in a CNBC interview earlier this week. “Is it as cheap as moving to Mexico with lower cost labor? No.

“But we will make that plant competitive just because we’ll make the capital investments there. But what that ultimately means is there will be fewer jobs.”

Trump Accepts Only One Presidential Intelligence Briefing a Week

Any other president-elect allowing just one presidential briefing a week would see an uprise from both Democrats and Republicans alike. There are a lot of evil in this world, and America is in the crosshairs of those trying to do us harm. Always knowing what the challenges are is a smart way to stay prepared.

But for whatever reason, Trump’s need to remain ignorant to what’s going on in the rest of the world does not alarm Washington politicians like it should.

President-elect Donald Trump is receiving an average of one presidential intelligence briefing a week, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter, far fewer than most of his recent predecessors.

Although they are not required to, presidents-elect have in the past generally welcomed the opportunity to receive the President’s Daily Brief (PDB), the most highly classified and closely held document in the government, on a regular basis.

It was not immediately clear why Trump has decided not to receive the intelligence briefings available to President Barack Obama more frequently, or whether that has made any difference in his presidential preparations.

Donald Trump Remains Executive Producer on “Celebrity Apprentice” – Still on NBC’s Payroll

This is a true WTF moment!

Well, what do you expect from the reality television star now called president-elect? Variety has received confirmation that Donald Trump will continue getting paid for the reality television show on NBC. He will remain an exec producer on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” which is returning Jan. 2 after a two-year hiatus with new host Arnold Schwarzenegger.

MGM confirmed to Variety that Trump has retained his EP credit on the series. The president-elect’s status on the 15th season of the reality series that made him a household name has been a question since Trump launched his presidential campaign in June 2015. In the credit sequence, Trump’s name will air after that of “Apprentice” creator Mark Burnett and before Schwarzenegger, who is also an exec producer of the new incarnation along with Page Feldman and Eric Van Wagenen.

The larger issue for MGM, NBC, and the White House is the payment that Trump will receive for the series. It’s unclear what his per-episode fee is, but it is likely to be in the low five-figures, at minimum. NBC has ordered eight episodes of “The New Celebrity Apprentice.” Trump’s fees will be paid through MGM, the production entity on the show, not NBC. MGM declined to comment on the financial terms of Trump’s deal. A spokeswoman for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment. NBC declined to comment.

Florida Lawsuit Claims Trump Stole $6 Million From Club Members

Just another lawsuit against a president-elect who apparently has a lot of crooked tendencies.

U.S. District Court Judge Kenneth Marra on Wednesday refused yet another request by Donald Trump to toss a 2013 lawsuit filed against his Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter.

The Dec. 7 order means the case continues against Donald Trump’s country club, even though Trump is set to be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States in January.

Club members say Trump hasn’t returned an estimated $6 million to members of his country club off Donald Ross Road. Trump bought the club from the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa for $5 million in 2012.

When the Ritz owned it, deposits ranging from $35,000 to $210,000 were refundable. But once Trump bought the club, some club members say Trump changed the rules and refused to return their deposits.

Hospitals Warn Trump of “Unprecedented Public Health Crisis” if Obamacare is Repealed

Somehow, I don’t think Donald Trump or Republicans care about the financial impact of their planned Obamacare repeal. To them, the politics of repeal play better. It gives them something to brag about when they go back home to their constituents.

But there are consequences to repealing the law, and hospitals have issued a warning.

The nation’s hospital industry warned President-elect Donald Trump and congressional leaders on Tuesday that repealing the Affordable Care Act could cost hospitals $165 billion by the middle of the next decade and trigger “an unprecedented public health crisis.”

The two main trade groups for U.S. hospitals dispatched a letter to the incoming president and Capitol Hill’s top four leaders, saying that the government should help hospitals avoid massive financial losses if the law is rescinded in a way that causes a surge of uninsured patients.

The letter, along with a consultant’s study estimating the financial impact of undoing the Affordable Care Act, makes hospitals the first sector of the health-care industry to speak out publicly to try to protect itself from a sharp reversal in health policy that Trump is promising and congressional Republicans have long favored.

Donald Trump Attacks Corporate Profit – I Don’t Want Boeing Making “that much money”

Let’s just say for argument sake that a Democratic president-elect had said this very same thing about any American corporation, or any corporation for that matter. Do you think congressional Republicans would allow that president-elect to be sworn in as president?

But Trump set a new low and Republicans are happy to descend to that level even if it means attacking one of their sacred gods – Corporate Profits.

Tuesday morning came another tweet from Donald Trump apparently announcing the cancellation of an updated Air Force One. Trump tweeted that “Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. Cancel order!”

A reporter asked if he was saying that he cancelled the Boeing order, Trump responded;

“Well, the plane is totally out of control. It’s going to be over $4 billion. It’s for Air Force One program, and I think it’s ridiculous. I think Boeing is doing a little bit of a number. We want Boeing to make a lot of money, but not that much money.”

Any elected Democrat making this statement would be run out of the country.

Murder Caught on Video But Shooter Walks Free

We all watched the video as the police officer took out his gun, took aim at the man running away from him and fired, hitting the man multiple times in the back and killing him. We all watched the killing because it was recorded on a cell phone video and made public for all to see.

But apparently, the cold-blooded murder of the man… on video… was still not enough to convince a jury that the shooter did in fact, shoot and kill a man who posed no threat to him.

The judge in the murder trial of former North Charleston, S.C., police Officer Michael Slager declared a mistrial on Monday after the jury said it could not come to a unanimous decision.

“We as the jury regret to inform the court that, despite the best efforts of all members, we are unable to come to an unanimous decision in the case of the State vs. Michael Slager,” a letter from the foreman of the jury read.

Judge Clifton Newman said the case would be retried at a future date, the timing of which could depend on a federal civil rights case that is also pending against Slager, as we have reported.

Slager is accused of murder for shooting Walter Scott multiple times as he ran away from the officer in 2015, after a routine traffic stop. The jurors had three options if they hoped to avoid a mistrial: a guilty verdict for either murder or voluntary manslaughter, or an acquittal.

LeBron James and The Cavaliers Refuse to Stay at Trump Hotel

The Hill reports that a group of Cleveland Cavaliers players are refusing to stay at a Trump hotel in New York City, according to ESPN.

The Cavaliers have a contract with Trump SoHo hotel in lower Manhattan, but a group of players have been excused from staying there.

LeBron James is among the players who will not stay at the hotel, ESPN reports.

James endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton about a month before she lost the election to Donald Trump.

Trump Adviser on China – “… if China Doesn’t Like it, Screw ‘Em” – Audio

He’s not even president yet and already, Donald Trump and his people are already casting a negative view of America to the world. When Trump broke a 40 year presidential custom and took a call from Taiwan’s leader, an angry China expressed its concern to Trump and his people. Trump’s people’s response to China? “Screw ’em.”

Stephen Moore, an economic adviser to Donald Trump, defended the President-elect’s recent call with the president of Taiwan, saying in a local radio interview that he didn’t care if it upset China.

“Taiwan is our ally,” Moore said in a radio interview Monday on the Big John and Ray Show on WLS AM890. “That is a country that we have backed because they believe in freedom. We oughta back our ally, and if China doesn’t like it, screw ’em.”

Beijing views Taiwan as a renegade province and it has been the official position of the United States since 1979 that the government in Beijing is the sole government of China. Trump’s phone call Friday with President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan led to criticism from the American foreign policy establishment. Beijing lodged a complaint with the State Department.

Paul Ryan – Voter Fraud “Doesn’t matter to me” Because Trump Won

If Trump had lost the election like all the polls said he would, Paul Ryan and the Republicans would still be marching in the streets calling for recounts due to voter-fraud. But thanks to Russia’s influence in our election, Trump won, and according to Paul Ryan, no one should care about voter fraud and their needs to be no call for recount.

Scott Pelley on CBS’ 60 Minutes interviewed House Speaker Paul Ryan and asked about Trump’s claim that because of millions of illegal votes for Hillary Clinton, he did not win the popular vote. Pelley wanted to know Paul’s thoughts about Trump’s unsubstantiated claim.

Rand Paul couldn’t care less.

“It doesn’t matter to me. He won the election,” Ryan said. He went on to state that if Trump lives up to his promises and fix the issues he said he would, people will no longer care about what he might have tweeted in the past.

Alec Baldwin to Trump – “Release you tax returns and I’ll stop”

I think we’ll be watching Alec Baldwin play Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live for a long, long, long time. Baldwin just laid out the condition under which he would stop playing the role and it’s a condition we know Trump will not agree to.

Too much to hide!

Donald Trump told the world that he tried watching Saturday Night Live AGAIN, but couldn’t, “Unwatchable!” Trump said, “Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can’t get any worse. Sad”

Baldwin happily replied; – “Release you tax returns and I’ll stop”
