Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Try to Run for President in 2016

The United States Constitution forbids foreign born citizens for running for president, but many have attempted to challenge the law. According to the New York Post, former governor of California and action movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger will attempt to challenge the law and run for president in 2016. The news broke while Schwarzenegger was promoting his new film “Escape Plan,” in New York City, also costarring another veteran action star, Sylvester Stallone.

The 66 year old Schwarzenegger was born in Austria and became a United States citizen in 1983. The former Republican governor of California was elected in 2003 during a recall election and won reelection 2006, holding the office until 2011. Sources note that Schwarzenegger will file paperwork in an attempt to challenge the Constitution so he can be on the ballot in 2016.

“Schwarzenegger has been talking openly about working on getting the constitutional rules changed so he can run for president in 2016. He is ready to file legal paperwork to challenge the rules.”

Schwarzenegger appeared on the “Tonight Show” in 2010 and told host Jay Leno that if the law was changed, he would seriously consider a run for the nation’s top office. In order to have the law changed, it would have to be approved by two-thirds in the House and Senate and be ratified by 38 of the country’s 50 states.

Obama Used The Least Amount of Executive Orders in 100 Years, Still They Call Him “Lawless”

The Republican messaging machine is at it again, cranking out scurrilous memes that defame the president and distract from the party’s inaction.

The latest talking point is that the president is a “lawless” “dictator” hellbent on operating outside, and indeed above, the law.

This is not a particularly new line of attack. Conservatives have been using some variation of the lawlessness theme for some time to refer to the president’s actions, particularly to the administration’s adjustments to the Affordable Care Act.

But the distillation and repetition of the word “lawless” gathered new steam last month when the president signaled that he would work with Congress where he could but would issue executive orders, to the extent that he could, when he was stymied by Congress.

Before a cabinet meeting, the president said, “One of the things that I will be emphasizing in this meeting is the fact that we are not going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we are providing Americans the kind of help that they need.” He added, “I’ve got a pen, and I’ve got a phone.”

Before the president could even repeat the sentiment in his State of the Union speech, Republicans were up in arms.

Representative Tim Huelskamp tweeted that night, “1st Release of Obama speech reads like the dictates from a King. All orders he will do to bypass Congress #LawLess.”

Huelskamp went on to repeat the #LawLess hashtag throughout the night, and it was picked up by others.

After the speech, Michele Bachmann threatened to sue the “king,” Obama.

It seems to matter not that this president has in no way been an abuser of executive orders. Quite the opposite. According to the American Presidency Project, a collaboration between John T. Woolley and Gerhard Peters at the University of California, Santa Barbara, President Obama had issued only 168 executive orders as of Jan. 20, fewer than any two-term president in more than 100 years.

Still, the “lawless” messaging has only picked up steam.

Michelle Obama Comments on Justin Bieber – Motherly Love

What would first lady Michelle Obama, a mother of two girls, do if she also had a son — or more to the point, a 19-year old international pop star with a penchant for fast cars, private jets and alcohol named Justin Bieber?

“I would pull him close. You know, I don’t know if it would be advice as much as action,” Obama said in a recent interview with Univision Radio host Enrique Santos. “I would be very present in his life right now. And I would be probably with him a good chunk of the time, just there to talk, to figure out what’s going on in his head, to figure out who’s in his life and who’s not, you know.”

And Obama is not the only one at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. being asked to weigh in on Bieber’s case.

petition created on the White House’s “We the People” site calling for the government to deport Bieber and revoke his green card has garnered more than 250,000 signatures — far exceeding the 100,000 signature threshold to require an official response.

“That response will come I’m sure relatively soon,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said last week.

The petition, which was filed on the day Bieber was arrested for an alleged DUI and drag racing, says: “We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked.”

Michelle Obama, who was not asked about the petition during her radio interview, was nothing but motherly when it came to the famous wayward teen who could face a trial in Florida as early as March 3.

“I found that to be the case with my kids,” she said. “They just want you near, you know — they want that advice from a parent. They want to see you on a daily basis, you know, because the thing is he’s still a kid. He’s still growing up. So, I would pull him close.”

Russia’s Olympic Official Sent Racist Tweet about Obama and First Lady – Tweet

You’d think Russia Olympic officials would do a bit more vetting before including these people in their Olympic ceremony. It is now being revealed that the lady who lit the Olympic flame to begin the games in Russia has some controversial tweets in her past. Notably one showing the President and First Lady looking at a digitally imposed banana.

Three-time gold medalists Irina Rodnina, who won gold in 1972, 1979 and 1980, tweeted this photo back in September. And like expected, the Republicans and racists here in America (most of the times, they’re all the same) rejoice in 3, 2, 1…

Fox News Presents Report from Fossil Fuel Lobbyist to Deny Climate Change – Video

Although 97 percent of climate experts agree that “humans are causing global warming,” the Fox News cast is still dragging its collective knuckles, criticizing the President for “declaring” climate change a fact.

And they did shows about it too.

In a recent  Fox News’ Special Report, host Chris Wallace did a segment on carbon emission regulations and stated that “President Obama has declared climate change a fact,” despite “objections from many dissenters.” In a Special Report presented by Doug McKelway, the case was made that climate change is not happening, and it contained an interview from a noted climate change denier Marc Morano who, as fate would have it, has ties with the fossil fuel industry.

Of course this fact was not disclosed to their audience that the report they presented had information from a lobbyist for fossil fuel industry.

New Jersey Tax Payers to Get The Bill – $650 per Hour For Christie’s Defense

Now this one I cannot understand. If Christie has nothing to hide, if he did nothing wrong, if he is innocent on any wrong doing and really had no knowledge of Bridgegate, then why has he lawyered up at a rate of $650 per hour? You would think that the self-proclaimed “Conservative” would want to save the taxpayers of his state that money by providing the subpoenaed documents but alas, there is something the governor doesn’t want us to see.

Governor Christie’s office has agreed to pay a high-powered attorney $650 per hour to represent it in a series of investigations into the George Washington Bridge lane closures.

That’s more than a 40 percent discount off attorney Randy Mastro’s normal rate, he wrote in a letter to state officials, and 20 percent less than the average amount charged by attorneys at the New York office of his firm, Gibson Dunn.

The terms of Mastro’s agreement were laid out in documents released by the governor’s office late Thursday in response to a public records request. A retention letter states that Mastro will help Christie’s office in several ways — including producing documents in connection with an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The reference to producing documents for the U.S. Attorney’s Office is the clearest indication that Christie’s office either has received, or anticipates receiving, a subpoena from federal prosecutors looking into whether a crime was committed. The state Republican Party and Christie’s re-election campaign confirmed earlier this month that they had received federal subpoenas but there has been no public confirmation of others.

Several people within Christie’s inner circle have also received subpoenas for documents by a joint legislative panel investigating the lane closures. The responses to those subpoenas are due on Monday. The attorney advising the investigative legislative panel, former federal prosecutor Reid Schar, is charging $350 per hour, also a discounted rate.

The biggest political crisis of Christie’s political career has also provided work for some of the biggest names in the region’s legal circles. Much of the cost is likely to be borne by taxpayers, although the Port Authority announced earlier this month that it would not pay the legal bills of the Christie ally and Port Authority executive who implemented the lane closures, David Wildstein.

Woman Faked Pregnancy, Then Kidnapped Newborn in Wisconsin

Kristen Smith

A Colorado woman who pretended to be pregnant kidnapped her 6-day-old nephew from Beloit, Wis. before being arrested in Iowa Friday, according to prosecutors and police.

The baby, Kayden Powell, was found wrapped in blankets inside a tote bag near a gas station off Interstate 80 near West Branch, Iowa at around 10:15 a.m., officials said. The baby appeared to be in good health despite being outside in frigid weather, police said at a news conference.

Kristen Smith, 31, of Denver, was charged with kidnapping, prosecutors announced Friday afternoon.

Smith was with the baby’s mother and other family members at a Beloit home, according to court documents. Kayden’s mother, Brianna Marshall, 18, told police she woke up Thursday morning and found the baby missing from his bassinet.

Smith was located in Iowa, where police found she had an arrest warrant out of Texas on unrelated charges. Her car contained baby clothing, a stroller and a car seat, but not the infant. Initially, Smith denied any knowledge of the baby’s whereabouts, according to court documents.

After police searched her cell phone and Facebook account, investigators found messages from Smith claiming to be pregnant before giving birth on Wednesday, one day before the baby disappeared. Officers also found a prosthetic pregnancy belly in Smith’s vehicle, according to court documents.

Officers later found the baby near the gas station, according to the documents.

“Despite frigid temperatures, Kayden was found alive and appears to be doing very well,” Steven Kopp, police chief for the town of Beloit, said at a news conference. “In the words of EMS officials, he is in excellent health.”

Featured murder News RIP trayvon martin

Remembering Trayvon – Events Planned This Weekend in South Florida

Actor Jamie Foxx and the families of Emmett Till and Oscar Grant are joining South Florida residents this weekend to commemorate the second anniversary of Trayvon Martin’s fatal shooting by neighborhood watch leader George Zimmerman.

A peace walk is planned for Saturday in Miami Gardens, and a gala hosted by The Trayvon Martin Foundation is planned for Sunday in Davie on what would have been Martin’s 19th birthday.

A spokeswoman for Martin’s family says the focus of the weekend is to explore strategies to reduce violence.

Till, a black teen, was murdered in Mississippi in 1955, and Grant, also a black teen, was fatally shot by a police officer in Oakland in 2009.

Zimmerman was acquitted last summer of fatally shooting the unarmed Martin, who is black, in February 2012.

President’s Weekly Address – Providing Opportunity for All – Video

President Obama gave his weekly address with a focus on the middle class and ways to provide the necessary opportunity they need, so that anyone who works hard, can succeed. The president again stressed on the ‘year of action’ concept he outlined in the State of The Union address and said that he will work with Congress but will do it on his own if Congress fails to act and within the confines of the Constitution.

I want to work with Congress on this agenda where I can. But in this year of action, whenever I can take steps without legislation to expand opportunity for more American families, I will.  I’ve got a pen and a phone – a pen to take executive action, and a phone to rally citizens and business leaders who are eager to create new jobs and new opportunities.

Still Missing – Doctor Teleka Patrick Not Woman at Local Walmart – Police

Authorities are knocking down speculation that a doctor missing from Kalamazoo for two months may have been at a Walmart store near Battle Creek last week.

The Kalamazoo County sheriff’s office released a brief statement Friday, saying the woman wasn’t Teleka Patrick. The tip came from a Walmart employee.

The 30-year-old Patrick disappeared on Dec. 5. Her car was found in a ditch along Interstate 94 in northern Indiana. She was last seen trying to get a room at a Kalamazoo hotel but didn’t stay and got a ride back to her car at Borgess Medical Center.

Patrick had been in Michigan since last summer when she started a medical residency at Borgess.

Is The World Really Laughing at Us? Twitter Says Yes – Tweets

America, our greatest fear may have now materialized. Too much dysfunction in Washington thanks to the Teaparty and the elected Republicans who use their office to keep the country from moving forward, all in a dumb and lame effort to make sure the president is looked upon as a failure.

The world is watching, and apparently, we are very amusing to everyone else.
