Megyn Kelly of Fox News stepped out of character on Wednesday during an interview with Dick Cheney and his spawn. Kelly apparently found herself actually denouncing Cheney’s lie that his record on the Iraq war was spotless.
“Time and time again, history has proven that you got it wrong as well in Iraq, sir.” Kelly said to Dick. “You said there was no doubt Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. You said we would be greeted as liberators. You said the insurgency was in its last throes back in 2005, and you said that after our intervention, extremists would have to ‘rethink their strategy of jihad.’ Now, with almost a trillion dollars spent there, with almost 4,500 American lives lost there, what do you say to those who say you were so wrong about so much at the expense of so many?”
Cheney’s draw dropped as the the words from Megyn’s mouth navigated their way through the cobwebs of his brain. He was confused. This wasn’t supposed to happen. The sign on the camera said ‘Fox,’ but somehow he must have ended up on MSNBC. She looked like Megyn Kelly, but she was sounding like Rachel Maddow.
What da…?!
He had to say something. In his confused state of mind be blurted out, “No, I just fundamentally disagree, Reagan — I mean, Megyn.”
Then Rachel disappeared and Kelly reappeared. The questions got easier as the interview continued and he was able to relax and wallow in the muck of his talking points – blaming Obama for everything!
Breathe!
Those first few minutes had to be someone’s idea of a cruel joke! Ha ha! T’wasnt funny guys, T’wasnt funny at all…
The Stockton Police department sparked a social media frenzy when they posted the mugshot of 30-year-old Jeremy Meeks on their Facebook page.
The intense interest in Meeks, a convicted felon arrested on five felony weapon charges and one gang charge, has taken police officers by surprise.
“I have not seen that many likes for a photo before,” said Officer Joseph Silva, a spokesman for the Stockton Police Department.
Early Friday morning, Meeks’ photo had amassed close to 40,000 likes, 4,300 and approximately 13,000 comments.
Read a few below:
“Sure like to wake up next to that. Hot dam!”
“I wonder if it hurt him when he fell from heaven. This guy is charming…”
“Are they jailing hot guys so the ugly ones have a chance?”
“BE MY THUG”

In another interview, Chris Matthews of MSNBCs Hardball decided to go after Elizabeth Warren, the progressive congressional soldier from Massachusetts with the uncanny ability to speak the language of the hardworking American middle class.
Matthews, playing his now usual closet Republican role, tired attacking Mrs Warren on, among other things, creating wealth and opportunities for hard working Americans.
And like the true progressive soldier she is, Warren fought back, explaining to the Teaberry defender that the recipe for creating wealth is investing in the middle class, like we did after the Great Depression.
“Well, you know, this isn’t magic. We actually know how to do this. We did this for nearly half a century, coming out of the great depression until about 1980. We made the investments together that helped build opportunities for all of us.”
“I went to a commuter college that cost fifty dollars a semester. It opened a million doors for me. How could I go to a school that cost fifty dollars a semester? Because I grew up in an America that said, we collectively, all of us, are going to make those investments in education so that any kid, who works hard, who plays by the rules, who tries to get out there and make something of herself, is going to have a fighting chance to make that happen.”
Warren then explained exactly where things went wrong to Mr Matthews – in 1980 when the god of the Republican party got elected and implemented his reagonomics and the concept of Trickle Down Economics, that is, give to the rich and hope they’re not to greedy to throw some crumbs your way.
“It changed in the 1980′s,” Warren continued, “when the Republicans came up with a different vision. They said, ‘Eh, that’s not how you build an economy. The way you build an economy is you let those at the very top, the richest and the most powerful, keep more of their money and more of their power, and somehow it’s going to trickle down for everybody else.’”
The state is of course run by Republicans, but the law does not discriminate. And I would bet my hard earned money that if you ask the average Oklahoman, they would tell you that Obama is the worse thing Kenya ever produced for this country. And I would also be that person is benefiting greatly from Obamacare.
According to a newly released report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the average premium for Oklahomans who used a tax credit to buy healthcare is $75.00 a month. Oklahoma residents who enrolled in the marketplace set up by the law passed by Mr. Obama, are paying less than the national average of $82.00 according to the report.
“What we’re finding is that the marketplace is working for Oklahomans,” said Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell in a released statement. “Consumers have more choices, and they’re paying less for their premiums. When there is choice and competition, everybody benefits.”
The federal health insurance marketplace was created through the Affordable Care Act, the federal health reform law passed in March 2010.
About 79 percent of Oklahomans who selected plans through the marketplace used tax credits.
Overall, Oklahomans paid below the national average, which was $82 among states with federally facilitated marketplaces.
In Oklahoma, 74 percent of enrollees who selected marketplace plans with tax credits had premiums of $100 a month or less, and 47 percent had premiums of $50 a month or less after tax credits, according to the report.
And now this. Something we’ve all been doing since the beginning of time is now bad for us. We’ve all been told to thoroughly wash our food before cooking or eating, but according to a new study conducted by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) in the United Kingdom, washing raw chicken before cooking could potentially kill you!
When washed, campylobacter from raw chicken can be transferred into water droplets, which may splash onto neighboring surfaces, hands, clothing, and cooking utensils. If the campylobacter bacteria are ingested directly or via unwashed cutting boards and utensils, they can cause campylobacteriosis, characterized by symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, cramping, and fever.
Though some people experience no symptoms from campylobacter, in rare cases, the bacteria can spread to the bloodstream and cause a life-threatening infection. This infection is more likely to occur in people with weak immune systems, young children, and the elderly.
Campylobacter can also be a precursor to other conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, reactive arthritis, and Guillain-Barré syndrome, a debilitating disease of the nervous system.
Why all the hate? Why so much venom? What is it about this particular president that has Republicans so angry?
Throughout our history we have had both Democrats and Republicans in the White House, and these two groups have always, despite their differences, despite their hate for each other, they have found ways to come together to work on issues that will benefit the American people. So why is that so hard for these Republicans to work with this president?
What is it about Barack Obama that has Republicans turning their backs on policies they originally authored the moment Barack Obama adopted those policies?
What’s different?
It’s not because he’s a Democrat, like I said before, we have already had Democratic presidents in the White House. And it’s not because of his policies, in fact, much of the policies Obama has worked on and implemented, are policies that previous Democratic and to some extent, Republican presidents have tried. These policies are not new. Health care reform for example, was a top agenda item for both Democrat and Republican presidents for decades. And the basis of the law that Obama finally signed into law, was the brainchild of a Republican think tank.
So the difference clearly is not his party or his policies.
The only difference I can see between with this particular Democratic president and previous presidents, is the fact that he is a black man. Which would mean that the hate and the venom this president is facing is based on nothing else than the color of his skin, not the content of his character.
If he was a white Democratic president then the usual ideological bickering from the Republicans would happen. That’s what they have done historically. Democrats and Republicans will state that differences on issues, they will debate and even filibuster once in a while. But eventually, a consensus will be reached and… progress. Just like the Founding Fathers envisioned.
But he is not a white man. He is the first African American to hold the highest office in the land and some Republicans just cannot accept that fact.
And the Supreme Court said that racism was dead. How laughable is that?
And this is why I say they lie. I simply cannot believe that the Republican Senator representing Texas never heard of the Republican Representative from New York. Cruz is not a new comer to Washington, and neither is Peter King. Both have been frequent “guests” on many television shows over the last few years and they’re both in the same party. But Cruz insists that he never heard of the man, Peter King, a member of the Homeland Security Committee and Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence.
Rep. Peter King? Never heard of him, Sen. Ted Cruz says.
The Texas senator says he had never heard of the New York Republican who has repeatedly and harshly attacked him until recently.
“I don’t know Mr. King,” Cruz, a Texas Republican, said on CNN on Tuesday evening. “I’ve never met him. To be honest, I don’t think I had ever heard of him until he started getting on television attacking me.”
Before the senator’s comments, host Erin Burnett played a clip from last week of King calling Cruz “a fraud” and saying that the October 2013 government shutdown that he championed was ineffective.
In his appearance Tuesday night, Cruz elected not to push back, saying instead that there is too much bickering in Washington on both sides.
“He’s welcome to express his opinions, and he is entitled to them,” Cruz said of King. “I think there are far too many politicians in Washington in both parties that spend their time attacking each other rather than focusing on the substance.”
I call the participants of this poll uninformed because the media is obviously not doing their jobs. When the liars are the ones being sort after to talk about the president, and their lies go unchallenged, then the masses are left with nothing but lies, misinformation and propaganda on their televisions.
Under President Obama’s leadership, Osama Bin Laden is dead, more terrorists have been captured or killed under the President’s watch than in other administrations, he has overseen the end of the war in Iraq and is presently ending the war in Afghanistan, he facilitated the overthrow of a ruthless dictator in Libya without putting any American troops on the ground, the recent capture of the mastermind of the Benghazi attacks, his leadership has caused Syria to agree to giving up their weapons of mass destruction and in-spite of what Republicans say, the world’s view of America has improved instead of the shoe throwing days of George Bush. And those are just some of the foreign policy accomplishments we have achieved under this administration. But you would never know any of these things watching today’s so-called “news” stations.
And that’s a very sad state for this country. The ones who get the spotlight are the ones that lie, they are the ones that mislead and fabricate information about the President. They are the ones who get the spotlight. Heck, they even have an entire network dedicated to bringing the misinformation to the masses!
So with all the misinformation in our media today, is it any surprise that this poll finds Americans are not liking Obama right now?
Just 37 percent approve of his handling of foreign policy, which is an all-time low in the survey, while 57 percent disapprove, an all-time high.
What’s more, by a 44 percent-to-30 percent margin, Americans disagree with the Obama administration’s decision to secure the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in exchange for five imprisoned Taliban fighters.
And respondents are evenly divided if the details of Bergdahl’s disappearance from his base in Afghanistan matter in the U.S. decision to secure his release: 47 percent say the details matter, while 46 percent say they don’t.
President Obama’s overall approval rating in the poll is at 41 percent, down three points from April. That’s tied for his all-time low in the survey.
And his favorable-unfavorable rating is upside down (41 percent-45 percent) after being right-side up two months ago (44 percent-41 percent).
Perhaps most troubling for the president, 54 percent think he is unable to lead the country and get the job done, compared with 42 percent who believe he can.
Warning: If you suffer from acrophobia, do not go on the Jimmy Fallon show. As a matter of fact, if you suffer from the fear of heights or the fear of roller coasters for that matter, do not watch the next clip!
Kevin Hart admitted that he does not like roller coasters, so naturally he paid a visit to Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show and just as expected, Fallon took advantage! He took Hart on a roller coaster ride at Universal Studios in Orlando and this was the result!
Glenn Beck is suffering from a mental disorder that allows him to switch back and forth between personalities based on the news of the day. Today, he’s praising Liberals and saying they were right to oppose the Iraq war, tomorrow he is sure to praise the Republicans for invading Iraq.
In his latest show, Beck lambasted the Republican party for their gung-ho attitude towards a re-invasion of Iraq, and admitted that he was wrong, he made a mistake in being in favor of the war!
“From the beginning, most people on the left were against going into Iraq. I wasn’t. At the time I believed that the United States was under threat from Saddam Hussein. I really truly believed that Saddam Hussein was funding terrorists. We knew that. He was funding the terrorists in Hamas. We knew that he was giving money. We could track that. We knew he hated us. We knew that without a shadow of a doubt. It wasn’t much or a stretch to believe that he would fund a terror strike against us, especially since he would say that. So I took him at his word.
Now, in spite of the things I felt at the time when we went into war, liberals said: We shouldn’t get involved. We shouldn’t nation-build. And there was no indication the people of Iraq had the will to be free. I thought that was insulting at the time. Everybody wants to be free. They said we couldn’t force freedom on people. Let me lead with my mistakes. You are right. Liberals, you were right. We shouldn’t have.”
Then, sounding like a true liberal who has had enough of the wars, and stealing a line from Richard Martinez, the California dad whose son was killed in a recent shooting attack, Beck echoed the Not One More slogan, saying, “I have more of a chance of hacking off my loyal listeners and audience by saying this. but so be it: Not one more life. Not one more life. Not one more dollar, not one more airplane, not one more bullet, not one more Marine, not one more arm or leg or eye. Not one more.”
David Gregory is an asshole. So is EVERY mainstream media moron who does a “segment” with one of the Bush cronies who got us into the Iraq war to begin with over 10 years ago. We know the right-wing plan is to simply prey on the ignorance of Americans (always their plan) and pretend Bush and company never existed. That the Iraq war is Obama’s fault because hey Mr. and Mrs. Shit kicker..he’s President now ain’t he??
Yes the ignorant American public, the uneducated masses who allow the Republican party to exist since we know it couldn’t exist anywhere else. But OK, we expect it from the R’s. We don’t expect the media, the people who are supposedly intelligent to comply with the right wingers game plan (hey, what happened to the “liberal” media?) This is exactly what they do when people like Gregory or Anderson Cooper put guys like Paul Wolfowitz, William Kristol, Dick Cheney, Ari Fleischer, John McCain, et al. on national television to ask their “advice” on what to do now in Iraq.
Let me ask these media folks a question. Would you put on a serial killer to talk about gun control? A rapist to talk about women’s rights?
We know the answer, it’s a simple one. So why the fuck do they continue to put these Iraq war architects on to get their advice on how to quell the fighting in Iraq? The same guys who claimed the war would be done with quickly. The same guys who thought it was the right time for Bush to dress like a dick and step off an aircraft carrier to proclaim “Mission Accomplished.” The same politicians who were one hundred percent behind the war to begin with.
Kristol, the arrogant know nothing killer of women and children, said back in 2003 that the war would be over “in two months.” Two fucking months! Yet there he is on “Meet the Press” being asked by that putz Gregory, “What should we do now Mr. Kristol?” It’s unbelievable! Tim Russert must be turning over in his grave knowing that he would have simply pulled the video of Kristol saying the war would end in two months back in 2003 and ask him why should anyone listen to him now?
THAT would be the question to ask if someone had the urge to put this bullshit artist on television. This is what Paul Wolfowitz said in 2003…“It’s hard to conceive that it would take more forces to provide stability in post-Saddam Iraq than it would take to conduct the war itself and to secure the surrender of Saddam’s security forces and his army. Hard to imagine.” Hard to imagine yes, because it actually happened! Yet there he is, another mass murderer on national television shows being asked his “expert advice.” As though this son of a bitch actually walks on two legs.
Want more?
Dick Cheney is 2003..”My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators.”
“I think they’re in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency.”
John McCain..“Make it a hundred…That would be fine with me.” -to a questioner who asked if he supported President Bush’s vision for keeping U.S. troops in Iraq for 50 years.
Paul Wolfowitz in 2003..“There’s a lot of money to pay for this. It doesn’t have to be U.S. taxpayer money. We are dealing with a country that can really finance its own reconstruction, and relatively soon.”
I could go on and on and on…doesn’t matter. Aside from people like Ed Schultz and Lawrence O’Donnell, we see this pattern of putting people who are a total failure on television and asking their opinion and advice on major, life or death situations and policy. As though all of recent history has been erased. As if the thousands upon thousands of deaths, both U.S. military and Iraqi civilians never happened at all. It’s disgusting and unethical.
Yet they continue to get away with this lazy, intellect free journalism because the average citizen of this country doesn’t have a clue. They failed in school and they continue to fail in life. History doesn’t matter.
Too much sitting is bad for you, we all know that. It causes obesity, heart disease and now, researchers have found a link between too much sitting and some forms of cancer.
In a study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, researchers report that people who spend more hours of the day sitting have up to a 66% higher risk of developing certain types of cancer than those who aren’t as sedentary.
These results go beyond the advice by most health professionals for everyone to become more physically active. In reviewing 43 studies in which volunteers were asked about their daily activities and their cancer incidence, the investigators found that the link between sitting and cancer remained strong no matter how physically active the participants were. In other words, even people who worked out regularly but who spent more hours on the couch watching TV, for instance, showed higher rates of cancer than those who didn’t sit as much.
Sedentary behavior was associated with a 24% greater risk of developing colon cancer, a 32% higher risk of endometrial cancer, and a 21% increased risk of lung cancer. When the researchers delved deeper into different types of sedentary habits, they found that watching TV was linked to a 54% higher risk of colon cancer and a 66% greater risk of endometrial cancer. For every additional two hours that participants spent sitting during the day, their risk of colon cancer rose by 8%, and their risk of endometrial cancer went up by 10%. They didn’t find a link between sedentary behavior and other types of cancer, including breast, prostate, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
The findings, says Dr. Graham Colditz, of Washington University School of Medicine, who wrote an editorial accompanying the study, highlight the difference between being physically active and being sedentary. It’s not enough to just be active—it’s also important to sit less. But most public health messages aren’t stressing the distinction. “People are not talking about sitting time in the same way as physical activity,” he says. “Guidelines say limit the time spent sitting without drilling into how long or what types of sitting they are talking about.”
