WWE’s “Ultimate Warrior” Dead at 54 – RIP James Hellwig

Days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, the Ultimate Warrior James Hellwig was suddenly dead. He made his last appearance on WWE’s Monday Night Raw, where he thanked fans for their all their support.

“No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own,” Hellwig siad. “Every man’s heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if that man did in his life what makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized.”

By the story tellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him and make the running the man did live forever. You, you, you, you, you, you are the legend makers of Ultimate Warrior.”

The cause of death is not yet known. Hellwig leaves behind his wife and two daughters.

Here is his last return to the ring on April 7th, where he spoke to the fans.

PIC – Jordan Davis’ Family Praying Outside the Courthouse

It took less than 20 minutes for a Florida jury to convict Marissa Alexander for shooting at a ceiling while she tried to scare off her attacker. She was convicted and sent to prison to serve a 20 year sentence. No one died in Marissa’s case but her claim that she was scared for her life and stood her ground did not work.

Marissa is black.

Fast forward to today, where a white man approached a black teen, confronted that black teen, then murdered that black teen. No, I’m not talking about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, although after killing Trayvon, Zimmerman is now a free man planning a boxing match. I’m talking about Michael Dunn who murdered another 17-year-old black child. Dunn demanded that Jordan turn down his music and then killed Jordan when he refused.

Dunn is now awaiting a jury’s decision. Unlike Marissa’s jury who again, took less than 20 minutes to convict her, Dunn’s jury is presently in day 4 of apparently trying to figure out if a crime was committed.

Meanwhile, the family of the murdered victim Jordan Davis, was seen outside the courtroom… praying.

Remembering Trayvon – Events Planned This Weekend in South Florida

Actor Jamie Foxx and the families of Emmett Till and Oscar Grant are joining South Florida residents this weekend to commemorate the second anniversary of Trayvon Martin’s fatal shooting by neighborhood watch leader George Zimmerman.

A peace walk is planned for Saturday in Miami Gardens, and a gala hosted by The Trayvon Martin Foundation is planned for Sunday in Davie on what would have been Martin’s 19th birthday.

A spokeswoman for Martin’s family says the focus of the weekend is to explore strategies to reduce violence.

Till, a black teen, was murdered in Mississippi in 1955, and Grant, also a black teen, was fatally shot by a police officer in Oakland in 2009.

Zimmerman was acquitted last summer of fatally shooting the unarmed Martin, who is black, in February 2012.

Report: 70 Bags if Heroin Found on Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Home

The NYPD reportedly found 70 bags of heroin labeled “Ace of Spades” or “Ace of Heart” in the apartment of Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was discovered dead of a drug overdose yesterday morning. Police have launched a citywide hunt for Hoffman’s drug dealer.

“An internal email went out to all supervisors asking if anyone has had any experience with those brand names of drugs,” a law enforcement source told The New York Post. “They’re going to try to find the source.”

Using something called a “nitro dump,” police hope to narrow down the dealer’s location. From the Post:

“Basically what that is, is any time we make a narcotics arrest we include the brand name on the arrest report and store it in our system so our investigators can see where those brands are being sold,” the source explained.

Once they determine a location, they can zero in on the dealer or dealers selling that particular brand.

Philip Seymour Hoffman dead after apparent drug overdose: cops

Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead of an apparent drug overdose inside a Greenwich Village home on Sunday, cops said.

Hoffman’s body was found by a friend at 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning in an apartment at 35 Bethune St., sources said.

Cops are at the scene and are investigating, sources said.

Hoffman has admittedly struggled with drug addiction in the past, and reportedly checked himself into rehab last year for heroin abuse.

Marlboro Man Dead at 72 from Chronic Lung Disease

Eric Lawson, who portrayed the rugged Marlboro man in cigarette ads during the late 1970s, has died. He was 72.

Lawson died on 10 January at his home in San Luis Obispo of respiratory failure due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, his wife, Susan Lawson, said on Sunday.

Lawson was an actor with bit parts on such TV shows as Baretta and The Streets of San Francisco when he was hired to appear in print Marlboro ads from 1978 to 1981. His other credits include Charlie’s Angels, Dynasty and Baywatch. His wife said injuries sustained on the set of a western film ended his career in 1997.

A smoker since age 14, Lawson later appeared in an anti-smoking commercial that parodied the Marlboro man and an Entertainment Tonight segment to discuss the negative effects of smoking. Ms Lawson said her husband was proud of the interview, even though he was smoking at the time and continued the habit until he was diagnosed with COPD.

“He knew the cigarettes had a hold on him,” she said. “He knew, yet he still couldn’t stop.”

A few actors and models who appeared in adverts for Marlboro cigarettes have died of smoking-related diseases. They include David Millar, who died of emphysema in 1987, and David McLean, who died of lung cancer in 1995.

Lawson is also survived by six children, 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Avonte’s Family Plans Lawsuit against New York City

After the remains found in Queens were confirmed to be that of Avonte, the lawyer representing the family said that he will file a lawsuit against the city of New York on the family’s behalf.

Attorney David Perecman said he will file the legal claim on behalf of the family.

He said Avonte’s mother, Vanessa Fontaine, is inconsolable.

The family first said in October that it would sue the city over claims he was not supervised properly.

Avonte vanished on October 4 after leaving the Center Boulevard School in Long Island City, Queens.

The autistic teen, who was unable to communicate through speaking, was the subject of massive search effort.

Avonte’s remains were not intact when they were discovered on the banks of the East River over the span of a few days.

A teenage girl shooting photos in a Queens park noticed a left arm, leading to the discovery of legs and lower torso.

A part of a skull was also later recovered.

Authorities said at the time that clothing consistent with what Avonte was wearing when he went missing was also found.

The medical examiner said on Tuesday that the cause and manner of death are pending further study.

Firefighters Rescued Girl, Then Accidentally Ran Over Her with Firetruck – Video

Video footage from the helmet of a rescuer on a plane crash in San Francisco last year appears to show emergency teams failing to assist a teenaged survivor, moments before she was accidentally run over by a fire truck.

Three passengers died when Asiana Airlines Flight 214 clipped a seawall with its landing gear, skidded off the runway and burst into flames at the end of an otherwise routine flight from Seoul to San Francisco on July 6.

One of the victims, Ye Mengyuan, 16, had been pulled alive from the plane and placed near one wing.

But the Chinese teenager was later run over and killed by a fire truck, which did not spot her lying under a layer of fire retardant foam. US prosecutors decided in October not to bring charges against the firefighter driving the truck.

CBS on Thursday broadcast segments of the video, allegedly obtained by a person close to the family of the victim.

‘Fresh Prince’ Dad James Avery Dead At 65

James Avery — the beloved dad on “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” — has died at age 65 .. TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the actor tell TMZ he died in an L.A. hospital last night. Avery had recently undergone surgery for an undisclosed illness and took a turn for the worse late yesterday.

And we’re told his wife, Barbara, had been at his bedside but left for a short period of time to get something to eat.  When she came back, she learned he had just died.
