Poll Finds Almost 40% Don’t Believe Donald Was Born In The U.S. A

You can’t make this stuff up. A new USA Today/Gallop poll finds that almost 40% of Americans have doubts as to whether Donald Trump is a natural born citizen.

The poll, which questioned 1,013 adults finds that “not everyone is convinced Trump was born in the USA either: 43% say he definitely was born here, and 20% say he probably was; 7% say he definitely or probably was born in another country. Nearly three in 10 say they don’t know enough to say.” That’s 37% who cannot say with conviction that they believe Donald Trump was born in America.

Seems The Donald has some s’plainin’ to do.

Birtherism Continues Even After Official Document Is Released

World Net Daily, the conservative website that contributed heavily to spreading the birther conspiracy, found no consolation in President Obama releasing his official long form certificate today. The site continued without missing a beat, insisting now, that there must be some unexplained reason why the president waited all this time to release the document. This in, according to its website;

If the document proves valid, it could answer the questions raised by those who have alleged he was not actually born in Hawaii. But it also could prove his ineligibility because of its references to his father. Some of the cases challenging Obama have explained that he was a dual citizen through his father at his birth, and they contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born citizens

What else is a conservative website to do? The main issue they wrote about for almost three years just got blown out of the water and they’re left with nothing but made up junk and a credibility problem. So in an effort to explain to their readers that there is still something to be concerned about where this president is concerned, the editor of the website, Joseph Farah, felt the need to make this statement;

“We’re gratified that our work has begun to pay off,” he said. “The certificate of live birth is an absolutely vital foundation for determining constitutional eligibility of any president. We look forward to reviewing it like so many other Americans do at this late date. But it is important to remember there are still dozens of other questions concerning this question of eligibility that need to be resolved to assure what has become a very skeptical public concerning Barack Obama’s parentage, his adoption, his citizenship status throughout his life and why he continues to cultivate a culture of secrecy around his life.”

No matter what he does, it will never be enough to satisfy these… people!

Arizona Needs To Know What A Presidential Candidate’s Penis Looks Like

Great! Just when you thought it was safe to go to Arizona, the Birthers officially took over the place.

Today, the Arizona Republican Senate bowed to the Birthers, and passed a bill requiring all presidential candidates to prove he or she is a natural-born citizen of the United States, prove their age and also prove that they meet the residency requirements, as dictated in the bill. If the presidential contender cannot provide the required proof within the alloted time period, then according to the bill, that person’s name cannot appear on the Arizona presidential ballot.

Also according to the bill, which passed both the Arizona House and Senate, the political party of the candidate must “provide to the Secretary of State written notice of that party’s nomination for President and Vice President.” The bill then states that within 10 days after the political party provides the names of their nominee, an affidavit must be presented to Arizona, stating “the candidate’s citizenship and age and shall append to the affidavit documents that prove the candidate is a natural-born citizen.”

And get this… just in case the candidate cannot provide their long-form birth certificate, the legislation has an alternative. The presidential candidate will be allowed to put their name on the Arizona ballot if they can provide, among other things, their circumcision certificate.

So to understand exactly what is required to be on the Arizona presidential ballot starting in 2012, all candidates will need; proof of age, proof of residency, a long-form birth certificate, and if all else fails, then your circumcision certificate will do.

Of course, that requirement is not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution, which clearly states, “no person except a natural born Citizen” shall be eligible for President of the United States. But apparently, the founding fathers forgot to mention the circumcision certificate as proof of eligibility.

The bill now heads back to the Arizona House for a final vote where it is expected to pass, then it goes to Republican Governor Jan Brewer’s desk for her to sign it into law. That too, is expected to happen.

Wonder if those founding fathers ever thought that a description of one’s penis will be a qualifier for a United States presidential candidate?

I don’t think so.

Georgia Wants Proof Of Citizenship Mr. President, Or Don’t Land There

It’s the lie that just wont stop. Republicans in Gerogia are pushing a bill that would require all presidential candidates to prove his or her citizenship before landing in the state. The birtherism lie continues.

House Bill 401 would not allow a candidate on the ballot until the Secretary of State receives “adequate evidence of such person’s eligibility for election” to those offices. The bill’s sponsor is Mark Hatfield, R-Waycross, but has huge backing with other GOP members.

“I think the issue with our sitting president has been left unresolved for a significant length of time that people have concerns,” Hatfield said. “But this is not just about our current president. It’s about enforcing the constitutional provisions for anyone who seeks the office of presidency.”

The proposal is a slight change from a similar bill from Hatfield last year. That bill would have required presidential candidates in Georgia to file an affidavit swearing to be a natural-born citizen.

Both measures are inspired by the “birther” movement that believes President Barack Obama was not born in the United States. The claim has been widely disproved when Hawaii released records of Obama’s birth, but it remains a popular sentiment among some factions.

In an effort to help explain the Birther’s issues, please watch this brief video explaining the whole conspiracy that supposedly began over 47 years ago, when Mr. Obama was born.

Hawaii Takes on The Foolish Birthers

Can anyone not be disgusted and disappointed by the constant political distractions of the birthers and their baseless accusations against the President’s citizenship? Now imagine if you had first hand knowledge of the president’s birth in Hawaii, and were friends with his parents, imagine your disgust and disappointment with the birthers then!

That best describes the sentiment of the new govornor of Hawaii, Gov. Neil Abercrombie. In an interview with The New York Times, the Democratic governor says;

“It’s an insult to his mother and to his father, and I knew his mother and father; they were my friends, and I have an emotional interest in that. It’s an emotional insult. It is disrespectful to the president; it is disrespectful to the office.”

The group insists that President Obama is not a legitimate president, because one of the criteria for the presidency, as per the constitution, was not met by Mr. Obama. The requirements are:

  • president must be a natural-born citizen of the United States
  • be at least 35-years-old
  • been a permanent resident of the U.S. for at least 14 years

Two separate fact checking groups, Politifacts and FactCheck.org have checked the Birther’s claims, and found that they are all nuts. Well, not that they’re nuts, but the two groups found no evidence that the president was born in Kenya, as is claimed by these Birthers. In fact, they have checked and verified the authenticity of the President’s birth certificate.

In another attempt to beat these birthers in the head with even more facts, Govenor Abercombie is trying to take the verification process a step further. He wants to change the rules in Hawaii in an attempt to put an end to all the noise surrounding the president’s birth certificate. The governor is asking the head of Hawaii’s health department and the state’s Attorney General to release more information for the nay sayers, regarding the President’s  August 4, 1961 birth.

But like it was when the president’s certificate of live birth was released by the state’s health department, birthers will still find  reason to believe the misinformation intentially implanted in their small brains if Abercombie’s request is granted.

These birthers will not believe Mr. Obama is a citizen, even if they were all standing in the delivery room when the future president was pushed out!
