WASHINGTON (AP) — For the second time in three days, the White House is on lockdown because of a security breach.
The Secret Service says two people threw something over the fence surrounding the White House complex — one person from the south side and one from the north.
The two people were being detained and questioned Thursday afternoon. Secret Service officers were ordering people in the West Wing to stay inside.
The incident follows an hourlong lockdown Tuesday after a vehicle followed a motorcade bringing President Barack Obama’s daughters home through the gates. The driver was charged with unlawful entry, a misdemeanor.
They thought they were doing the work of God when they murdered a registered sex offender and his wife. The murderer even said he felt like he was “the right hand of God.”
The two skinheads were arrested in North Carolina following the murder of sex offender Marvin Parker, and his wife, Gretchen Parker, in a vivid display of the evils of vigilante justice. Marvin, who was placed on the sex offender list following a 2003 conviction of third degree sexual assault on a 31-year-old woman and was convicted in 1991 regarding a sexual assault case involving a child. The couple, Jeremy and Christine Moody, murdered Marvin and Greta Parker in July of last year and admitted that they targeted the couple because Marvin was on the sex offender list.
Greta was described as a “causality of war” by Christine Moody.
Everyone, please be quiet. Sit down and have a seat. Another Republican “Patriot” has something to say.
Ladies and gentlemen, your American “patriot” today is Bob Johnson of Savannah Georgia, who incidentally is running for Congress in the Republican primary.
Bob dislikes the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) so much, that he would rather see another terrorist attack in the United States than dealing with the airport security system.
“The TSA is doing something really profound. They’re indoctrinating generations of Americans to walk through a line and be prodded and probed by uniformed personnel, agents of the government, like sheep.
“Now this is going to sound outrageous: I’d rather see another terrorist attack — truly I would — than to give up my liberty as an American citizen. Give me liberty or give me death. Isn’t that what Patrick Henry said at the founding of our Republican — or, republic.
“People are saying, ‘Now everyone wants security before anything else. I want a perfectly safe flight.’ You’re not going to have it. We’re going to have jack-boot uniformed people in our backyards.”
The Rialto school district planned to revise an eighth-grade assignment that raised red flags by asking students to consider arguments about whether the Holocaust — the systematic killing by the Nazis of some 6 million Jews and millions of others — was not an “actual event” but instead a “propaganda tool that was used for political and monetary gain.”
In a statement released Monday, a spokeswoman for the Rialto Unified School District said an academic team was meeting to revise the assignment.
Interim Superintendent Mohammad Z. Islam was set to talk with administrators to “assure that any references to the holocaust ‘not occurring’ will be stricken on any current or future Argumentative Research assignments,” a statement from district spokeswoman Syeda Jafri read.
“The holocaust should be taught in classrooms with sensitivity and profound consideration to the victims who endured the atrocities committed,” Jafri said.
The English/Language Arts assignment, first reported Sunday by the San Bernardino Sun and provided to KTLA by the newspaper, asked students to write an argumentative essay about the Holocaust describing “whether or not you believe this was an actual event in history, or merely a political scheme created to influence public emotion and gain wealth.”
The 18-page assignment instructions included three sources that students were told to use, including one that stated gassings in concentration camps were a “hoax” and that no evidence has shown Jews died in gas chambers.
“Keep your stinking paws off my kid, you damned dirty ape.”
Those words by Republican Jim Coughlan, the Dutchess County controller and a candidate for state Senate, was directed at Melissa Harris-Perry in response to remarks she made about child-rearing that upset many conservatives.
Coughlan said he had no idea that Harris-Perry is black and denied the comment had racist undertones, saying he simply repeating a “well-known quote from the Planet of the Apes.
Even republican party insiders aren’t that thrilled with Coughlan and would probably just as soon wash their hands of him.
Some Republicans said they fear his Twitter history could keep them from regaining a Senate seat they long held until two years ago.
“Jim Coughlan is toxic,” said one.
“The Democrats are dying to run against him in November because they know he’s the best chance they have of keeping this seat in Democratic hands.”
I thought Jesus was inclusive and wanted everyone to come to him. After all, he did say to “preach the Gospel to every creature.” And exactly how would anyone become a Christian if they weren’t included and preached to at some point in their life?
No one was born a Christian, which means that being inclusive is the lifeline of the Christian faith.
Alabama State Judge Roy Moore has not figuref this inclusive message yet and is still thinking that the survival of Christianity is to preach only to the base. And he is taking his religious segregation view and applying it to the constitution, more specifically, the First Amendment.
It is Roy Moore’s belief that the First Amendment of the United States Constitution only protect Christians.
Earlier this year Roy Moore, the Chief Justice of Alabama’s Supreme Court, spoke at a luncheon in Mississippi for a Pro Life group and shared his thoughts on the First Amendment and who it protects.
“Everybody, to include the U.S. Supreme Court, has been deceived as to one little word in the First Amendment called ‘religion.’ They can’t define it.” Moore said. “They can’t define it the way Mason, Madison and even the United State Supreme Court defined it, ‘the duties we owe to the creator and the manner of discharging it.’ They don’t want to do that, because that acknowledges a creator God. Buddha didn’t create us. Mohammed didn’t create us. It’s the God of the Holy Scriptures.
“They didn’t bring a Koran over on the pilgrim ship, Mayflower. Let’s get real. Let’s go back and learn our history.”
Breaking news: Pat Robertson spoke the truth! Now, this doesn’t happen often but when it does I’m going to bring it to you.
In his recent 700 Club program, Robertson laments on the plight of the Republican party and acknowledges that radical right may be causing more harm than good.
NOTE: Pat Robertson is inarguably part of the radical right.
The good olé boys over at Fox News. It’s where you get your news, right? Well this is your “news” from your ‘Fair and Balanced’ “news” network.
A recent segment on Fox took America’s attention away from the fact that 288,000 jobs were created in April, lowering the unemployment rate once again to 6.3%. Fox, the “news” people felt our attention would be much better served if it is focused on… Benghazi!
So in cahoots with the pretend “Patriots” in the Republican party, a massive diversion effort went into full swing. And now, once again, after tens of thousands of documents submitted, millions of dollars spent, and numerous investigations conducted, we are now, once again talking about… Benghazi!
America, I know you todd about thank god you’re ready, but here is your news.
In a recent segment, Fox managed to create a scenario where Hillary Clinton is assassinated to prove another false Benghazi point. Fox’s Wayne Rogers is credited with this bit of right wing nuttery;
Imagine the following. Imagine that Hillary Clinton runs for president, and gets assassinated in the process.
And somebody shows up, a congressman, and says, ‘Well, what difference does it make anyway?’ I mean, The New York Times would have that on the front page!
The segment was in reference to a testimony Hillary Clinton gave about Benghazi years ago, and a point she made that the focus now should be on how to prevent another Benghazi from happening, instead of wasting time trying to figure out if the attackers were terrorists or angry movie critics.
The Fox thought a Clinton assassination scenario would be a great way to prove their dumb point.
But then again, proving dumb points is what the Fox does best.
This photo of Principal Annie Schmutz Siefullah was found on her school computer
Crazy, yea I know. But according to reports, the sexy Queens principal was immediately removed from her position since an investigation showed that the Principal – 35-year old Annie Schmutz Siefullah of the 7th- to 12th-grade Robert Wagner Secondary School of Arts and Technology, in Long Island City – is having sex left and right… in the school!
“We are appalled by these disturbing allegations and acted swiftly to remove the principal while the matter is under investigation,” a Department of Education spokesman said. “This type of alleged behavior is completely unacceptable for any DOE employee.”
Principal Anni is accused of having sex with a security guard, an assistant principal and the parent of one of her students to name a few. And she would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn’t for the hurt parent she had sex with. He found out about his competition and decided to report Miss Anni!
The angry ex turned over three DOE laptops he obtained while living with Seifullah, including MacBooks containing photos of herself in racy lingerie and in various sex acts, including a threesome, he told The Post.
He also gave investigators a video and audio tape in which a woman he identified as Seifullah acknowledged engaging in oral sex with an NYPD school-safety agent in the school security office, and with a visiting assistant principal in a book-storage room during school hours.
“I don’t know what I was thinking. I don’t know why I thought it was OK,” she tells the furious dad in the taped conversation, after he accuses her of cheating on him.
“You gave him [expletive deleted] while my child was in the building,” he roars at one point.
The dad, a fortysomething entrepreneur, also gave excerpts from a letter he says Seifullah wrote, admitting she hooked up twice with an “old lover.”
“The second [time] was a visit to my school that led to a sexual encounter which included brief oral sex in a hidden location,” the letter states.
The dad, whose name is being withheld to protect his child’s privacy, said he came forward because Seifullah — the mom of a toddler son — “played me for a fool.”
“Ms. Seifullah clearly used her power and position as principal to . . . seek several sexual partners at her school,” he charged.
Having sex inside a school or placing sexual images on school equipment could lead to misconduct charges. The investigation continues.
Daniel Simmons – a prosecutor with the Delaware Attorney General’s Office – was arrested on Friday, charged with raping a 16-year-old boy according to New Castle County police.
Delaware authorities say they began investigating the prosecutor, 34-year-old Daniel Simmons, in March after learning of the alleged assault. Police say Simmons was arrested on Friday as soon as the investigation was concluded.
Simmons been placed on administrative leave by the Attorney General’s office.
New Castle County police say Simmons met the 16-year-old through a social media app called Grindr which connects gay and bisexual men, not through his work as a Deputy Attorney General.
Police say further details are being withheld to protect the victim’s identity, but they suspect there may be other victims and are urging anyone with information to contact them.
A teenager was arrested after he fell asleep on the subway while holding a loaded gun in his hand. Demarrius Jackson, 19, was spotted on a N train with the weapon around 7 a.m. Saturday.
According to an NYPD release, a straphanger who got off at Times Square told cops she had spotted Jackson “lying outstretched on the train seats with a firearm in his hand.”
Three officers boarded the train, which was being held by the MTA, doing just that: snoozing across two seats located near the rear doors while holding the gun in his hands. Jackson, from South Carolina, was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a defaced firearm and unlawful possession of marijuana (cops also found pot in his pocket after this arrest). Unfortunately, there is no criminal charge for breaking subway etiquette.
There’s an analogy used in the piece that sums up this judge’s decision, and that analogy is – having a rapist watch over rape victims it’s like having a pedophile in charge at a children’s day care. In other words, it makes no sense!
A Texas judge ordered an admitted rapist to spend 45 days in jail, plus 5 years probation and 250 hours of community service at a rape crisis center where volunteers work directly with victims, reports CBS DFW.
Sir Young, 20, was sentenced Friday as part of a plea deal for raping a 14-year-old girl on their high school campus when he was 18, according to the station.
He had faced a maximum of 20 years in prison, according to the Dallas Morning News.
“When probation called, they asked, ‘Is this possible?’ I said, ‘No, it’s not possible’,” Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center (DARCC) executive director Bobbie Villareal told CBS DFW.
DARCC is the only rape crisis center in Dallas that uses volunteers, and it requires them to clear a criminal background check. Volunteers work directly with victims, answering their calls to the hotline and assisting them during rape exams. They also work with local organizations like the Girl Scouts and attend public events doing community outreach with police, according to the station.
“It flies in the face of logic. First of all, in that you would ask someone to do their community supervision for the population that has been directly affected by the exact crime. That’s like saying a pedophile should do their community supervision helping at a pre-school,” Villareal said.
Scott Berkowitz, president and founder of of the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), agrees that it’s not a logical idea to have a rapist spend time with rape victims.
“It’s incredibly hard to get [sexual assault] survivors to report in the first place and when they see sentences like this, it’s just more discouragement,” Berkowitz told CBS News’ Crimesider.
