The Video, originally published by Viddme, and then later confirmed by Gawker, shows the American Apparel creator having a conversation on the phone while dancing around the room, clearly missing the fig leaf that would have covered his protruding member. At one point in the video, Mr. American Apparel, also known as Dov Charney, tried to pull one of the fully clothed females to join him in his joyous celebration. She was clearly not impressed.

After the video surfaced, Mr. Charney was fired from the company he founded.

Ruby Dee dead at 91: Legendary stage and screen actress and Civil Rights leader

Family member confirms death. Dee was living in New Rochelle.

Stage and screen legend Ruby Dee, who personified grace, grit and progress at a time when African-American women were given little space in movies and on stage, died Wednesday in New Rochelle, N.Y. She was 91.

The death was confirmed Thursday by a family member, who declined to answer any questions pending the release of a statement.

“She died late (Wednesday) with her whole family around her,” family friend Latifah Salahudin told the Daily News. “All three kids and seven grandkids were there, surrounding her with so much love. She went peacefully from natural causes. We should all be so lucky.”

“She was so full of life and so strong. Such a powerful woman. We’re all going to miss her,” Salahudin added.

The Cleveland-born, New York-raised actress and activist — winner of an Emmy, a Grammy and a Screen Actors Guild award, among others — not only starred on Broadway (“Take It From the Top!” “Two Hah Hahs and a Homeboy”), film (Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” and “Jungle Fever”), and TV (“All God’s Children,” “Feast of All Saints”), but, with her husband and collaborator Ossie Davis, was a major figure in the Civil Rights movement.

In 2005, Dee and Davis received the National Civil Rights Museum’s Lifetime Achievement Freedom award. Davis died in February of that year.

Dee’s first film role came in 1949, in the musical drama “That Man of Mine.” She played Rachel Robinson in “The Jackie Robinson Story” in 1950, and costarred opposite Nat King Cole, Eartha Kitt and Cab Calloway in “St. Louis Blues” (1958).

She appeared in the 1979 TV movie “Roots: The Next Generations,” and costarred with Davis in their own short-lived 1980-81 show, “Ossie and Ruby!”

The two played contentious neighbors who embodied, and recalled, the social unrest of the ’60s in Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” (1989). She earned her sole Academy Award nomination, for Best Supporting Actress, for “American Gangster” (2007).

Tracy Morgan’s Mom Turned Away at The Hospital

Tracy Morgan’s estranged mother says she was barred from seeing her son at the hospital.

Alicia Warden has spoken out about the way she was treated in an interview with TMZ, claiming Morgan’s fiancee Megan Wollover is working against her.

Although the comedian and his mother had been estranged for more than a decade, Warden told the news site that no one informed her of her son’s car accident or the fact that he had been transported to hospital.

Warden – whose relationship with Morgan has been described as strained – told TMZ that she heard about it on television but when she tried to see her son in the hospital, she was met with resistence by Megan and hospital security and had to leave.

But she came back the next day and was allowed into the room where Morgan lay unconscious for five minutes and in the company of a pastor and a few friends.

‘All I wanted was for our family to be alone with him,’ Warden told TMZ. ‘I wanted to pray over him and couldn’t do that because so many people were in the room.’

Tracy Morgan update: Walmart says it will take ‘full responsibility’ if their truck caused fatal crash

Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan was critically injured in a crash on the Turnpike on Saturday. (Star-Ledger file)

The top executive at Walmart admitted that one of his company’s trucks was involved in a six-vehicle crash Saturday that killed one man and critically injured three others, including comedian and actor Tracy Morgan.

“The facts are continuing to unfold,” CEO Bill Simon said Saturday. “If it’s determined that our truck caused the accident, Walmart will take full responsibility.”

James McNair, a 62-year-old comedian from Peekskill, known as Jimmy Mack, was killed in the crash, authorities said Saturday. McNair also wrote for Morgan and was one of his closest friends.

According to a Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital spokesman, Morgan, 45, assistant Jeffrey Millea, 36, and comic Ardie Fuqua, 43, remain in critical condition this morning.

Truck driver Kevin Roper, 35, has been charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto in the accident, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Roper, accompanied by his attorney, turned himself in to State Police on Saturday night, according to the Associated Press. He was processed and turned over to Middlesex County officials.

Simon said he was “profoundly sorry” that a Walmart truck was involved in the accident, and the company said it is cooperating fully with law enforcement.

Simon pledged the company would “do what’s right for the family of the victim and the survivors in the days and weeks ahead.”

Morgan, Fuqua, Millea and comedian Harris Stanton were traveling from a gig at Dover Downs Casino in Delaware early Saturday when their 2012 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van was struck by Roper’s truck on the New Jersey Turnpike, according to State Police.

Morgan’s driver Tyrone Gale told ABC News that the impact felt like an explosion, after which the van felt like it flipped several times.

“I climbed around and heard Tracy screaming for help,” Gale told ABC. “I climbed up on the body of the limo bus … but I couldn’t reach them.”

Stanton was treated and released from the hospital.

Four other vehicles were involved in the crash, but none of their occupants was seriously injured. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.

Morgan first gained prominence as a “Saturday Night Live” cast member. He went on to star in the critically acclaimed television series “30 Rock.”

The prosecutor’s office asks that anyone with information about the crash to call the State Police’s Detective Bureau in Cranbury at (732) 609-860-9000, ext. 4400.

Almost No One Saw This “Perfect” Video of Maya Angelou

In December of 1996, I was a programmer and producer of the Slamdance Film Festival, the punk alternative to Sundance. It was the third year of the festival, and we were still a very scrappy bunch. At the time all films were submitted on VHS tapes. We got over a thousand submissions that year. Each of us would take home a plastic mail bin full of tapes every night to watch, and as you can imagine, a large majority of the films submitted were not of acceptable quality, making my job the cinematic equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack. The tapes only had the titles of the films and maybe the director’s name. There was no other information to go on. When you picked up a tape from the bin you had no idea what you were getting.

Late one night, faced with a mountain of tapes and a looming deadline, I pull a tape out of my bin. It was a documentary called Perfect Moment. I inserted the tape in the VCR and pressed play. The movie began with the unmistakable, inimitable voice of Maya Angelou piercing the silence of my tiny one-bedroom apartment in Loz Feliz. She was reading not one of her own works but rather an adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s short story, The Masque Of The Red Death, which considering the film’s introductory subject matter — the unrelenting reality of the AIDS crisis — was eerily fitting. As I watched the first five minutes of the film, all I could think was whoever directed this was a great artist — not only did this film need to be in the festival, but I had to become friends with him.

But this documentary had a larger scope, as it turned out. People from all walks of life were asked the same question: “If you were about to die, what moment would you remember most?” The film featured luminaries such as Phillip Glass, Edward Albee and Larry King along with priests, gang members, veterans and the homeless. I realized that I had discovered something special, singular and haunting. When the film ended I knew I had made a great discovery. I was ecstatic.

The next day I got in touch with the director, Nicholas Hondrogen, and told him how moved I was by his film. And I was not alone: in January of 1997, the film screened at Slamdance and won the Audience Award. By the end of the festival, Nick and I had become close friends. And over the next decade, we grew as close as two heterosexual men could be. He was at once like an older brother and father figure to me. But in 2007, our friendship ended tragically, nearly as fast as it had begun, when Nicholas died of mesothelioma cancer. I miss him every day, and there is always a small part of me that is empty because he is not here.

Perfect Moment was overlooked by potential distributors, meaning that it was never screened in theaters or on TV. When Maya Angelou died, I immediately thought about her powerful performance in this documentary that deals with truly timeless subject matter. Which, of course, begs the question: What moment will you remember when you look back on her iconic life?

Here is the clip from the opening of Perfect Moment as a tribute to Maya Angelou’s life and her work.

Baseball Great Don Zimmer – Dead at The Age of 83

He was player, a coach, and for the final 10 years of his life, a senior advisor for the Tampa Bay Rays. He became living history, a treasure trove of baseball memories that spanned from Jackie Robinson to the New York Yankees’ dynasty of the late 1990s and early 2000s to the Rays’ transformation from American League East also-ran to a team that reached the World Series in 2008 as part of a run that included four playoff appearances from 2008 to 2013.

His fingerprints touched many, and those impacts will remain. Zimmer died Wednesday. He was 83.
