After almost 19 years together, Randy Jackson and his wife, Erika, are going their separate ways, Yahoo reports. Erika filed for divorce on Friday citing irreconcilable differences. They have two children together — daughter Zoe, 19, and son Jordan, 17. (The former American Idol judge also has another daughter from his first marriage).
In the documents, Erika is seeking spousal support and payment for legal fees. She also is asking for joint legal custody and primary physical custody with “reasonable visitation” for Randy. The date of separation is listed as September 11, 2014.
The soon-to-be former Mrs. Jackson has also requested to go back to her maiden name, Erika Riker.
The news comes weeks after it was revealed the Grammy winning producer sold his home in Tarzana, California, for $1.9 million.
Now I have heard a number of crazy things said by Republicans and if I had to choose the craziest, I’d be stumped. There are too many crazy contenders in the GOP to choose from, like Sarah Palin, Louie Gohmert and Michele Bachmann to name a few.
But it appears that everyday, another contender makes himself known and today was no exception. Thanks to reporting by Politico, our contender for the Republican crazy prize is Det Bowers – a South Carolina pastor and one of six Republican challengers trying to outcrazy Lindsay Graham.
According to the reports, Bowers made some comments in a sermon he preached to his South Carolina congregation. In his sermon, Bowers blamed women for “95 percent of divorces” because he says, they loved their kids more than their husbands.
“I find that in about 95 percent of broken marriages, though the husband’s the one that ran out on his wife, the wife loves her children more than she does her husband,” That is an abominable idolatry.”
“Do you hear me, ladies? It is an abominable idolatry to love your children more than you love your husband, and it will ruin your marriage. And yet you blame it on him because he ran off with some other woman! He did run off with some other woman, and you packed his bags. All of his emotional bags, you packed for him. Is that true in every case? No, but it’s true in the vast preponderance of them.”
“You just ran him off! You paid more attention to your children than you did to him. ‘Oh, he doesn’t need me?’ He needs you more than they do. He chose you, they didn’t. An abominable idolatry.”
Bowers is running for the United States Congress. He wants to be the next Republican congressman sitting in the seat presently occupied by Lindsay Graham. Now that this crazy story is public, his chances of winning the Republican vote just increased a thousand fold. He has the two basic attributes they’re looking for in their candidates – he’s white and he says crazy sh*t!
Republicans, speeding up this nation’s race to the bottom.
The internet is buzzing over reports that Janet Jackson wants out of her marriage to Arab billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana.
But Miss Jackson’s plan isn’t to just walk away, so the reports say. Nope, she wants compensation.
“Janet Jackson’s marriage to super-wealthy Arab businessman Wissam Al Mana has collapsed, and a source says bitter divorce battle over his billion dollar fortune could be about to explode … She confided to a few close friends and (her mother) Katherine that she’s preparing to leave him. And she’s begun calling friends at all hours crying and saying how miserable she is … Janet is getting set to challenge the prenup and demand a flat lump sum payout from his fortune,” according to one tabloid.
If the reports are true, it will be the end of her third marriage. Before Wissam Al Mana (39), who Janet (47) wed in 2012, she was previously married to Réne Elizondo from 1991-2000 and James DeBarge from 1984-1985.
For the record, Rumor Fix says it reached out toJackson’s rep for a response.
One thing that’s not a rumor is Janet’s listing of her NYC apartment for $35,000 a month!
Disgraced ex-governor Eliot Spitzer and his estranged, long-suffering wife, Silda, confirmed Tuesday night that their marriage is over.
“We regret that our marital relationship has come to an end and we have agreed not to make any other public statement on this subject,” the couple said in a joint statement released by Spitzer spokeswoman Lisa Linden.
The announcement follows the revelation that Spitzer, 54, has been dating former spokeswoman Lis Smith, 31, as documented in exclusive photos published by The Post.
Smith is currently Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio’s chief spokeswoman, but de Blasio has refused to say if he’ll keep her on since the disclosure of her affair with Spitzer.
Robin Williams admits his finances are far from a laughing matter.
The comedian has been left on the verge of bankruptcy after two costly divorces.
The 62-year-old is returning to TV and selling his $35 million house to help cover his debts.
“The idea of having a steady job is appealing,” Williams told Parade magazine.
“There are bills to pay. My life has downsized, in a good way. I’m selling the ranch up in Napa. I just can’t afford it anymore.”
The Mrs Doubtfire star divorced his first wife in 1988 and ended his second marriage with Marsha Garces in 2008 after 19 years.
“Divorce is expensive. I used to joke they were going to call it ‘all the money’, but they changed it to ‘alimony’. It’s ripping your heart out through your wallet,” Williams said.
He’s currently married to graphic designer Susan Schneider who he tied the knot with in 2011.
The Oscar winning actor will star alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar in a new TV show called The Crazy Ones which will debut in the US on September 26.
Shellie finally realized that she was married to a loser.
George Zimmerman’s wife Shellie has filed for divorce less than two months after he was acquitted of murder in the death of teenager Trayvon Martin.
She filed the paperwork just days after she said in an interview aired exclusively on ABC News that the ordeal of the trial had put a strain on their marriage.
The petition says the couple, married in 2007, “separated on Aug. 13, 2013 and are not presently cohabiting as husband and wife. The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” They have no children.
Shellie Zimmerman, 26, has asked for “equitable distribution” of their assets as well as their debts. She also seeks sole custody of their two dogs, a Rottweiler named Oso and a smaller dog named Leroy.
She filed for divorce Thursday in Seminole County, Fla.
According to the financial disclosure form, she said she is unemployed. She listed her monthly expenses as $755. The couple owes $3,700.20 on their 2011 taxes, according to the form.
She is considered an up and rising star in the Republican party. The suggestion was even floated that Nikki Haley should have ran for the Republican nomination for presidency in 2012. So imagine the shock when this news broke that Nikki Haley – one of the Republicans’ chosen one – was listed as one of three “other women” in a divorce proceeding.
S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley is one of three “other women” named in a divorce lawsuit filed in Richland County, S.C. earlier this month.
According to court documents obtained exclusively by FITS, Jennifer Marchant – wife of prominent S.C. State House lobbyist Larry Marchant – is suing her husband for divorce on the grounds of infidelity.
One of the three women Marchant accuses her husband of cheating on her with? You guessed it … Haley.
“On or about June 2, 2010, (Larry Marchant) publicly admitted to having an affair with a woman well-known to the parties and the citizens of the State of South Carolina,” the lawsuit reads. “(Jennifer Marchant) was humiliated and embarrassed by (her husband’s) public admission and was unable to appear in public for some time. Eventually, (Jennifer) conditionally forgave (Larry)’s adulterous behavior.”
Damn …
The lawsuit was filed in Richland County family court on February 6 . A preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on February 20.
Marchant submitted an affidavit in October 2010 – swearing that he and Haley had a one night stand in Salt Lake City, Utah in June 2008.
(For details about that alleged encounter, click here).
Haley categorically denied Marchant’s claim. In fact she said Marchant was unable to prove the two of them were ever alone together on the Salt Lake City trip.
“We’ve had representatives go on the record that said we were in a group setting all the time,” Haley told former Columbia, S.C. radio host Keven Cohen at the time.
Other sources who went on the Salt Lake City trip have disputed Haley’s claim, however.
“They left the W lounge together,” one of these sources confirmed to FITS, referring to a dance club located three blocks away from the Marriott hotel where the South Carolina delegation was staying.
The message that Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa were back together came via Social Media. Vanessa used her Instagram to send out the following message:
The Lakers Basketball star was accused of a sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman in a Colorado hotel back in 2003. He maintained his innocence and claimed that the sexual act was consensual. The charges were later dismissed when the victim decided not to go through with the case.
Vanessa Bryant however filed for divorce in 2011 citing ““irreconcilable differences.” Apparently those differences have been reconciled.
Our tagline says “In your face with the truth!” We are sticking to that, because we believe the only way to shed light on the misguided corporate agenda of the Republicans is to stick with the truth. So we keep that tag line in mind as we publish this post.
The National Enquirer today alleged that Tod Palin has had enough and has decided to file for divorce from Sarah Palin. According to the report, Todd is “fed up” with the constant scandals that have plagued their marriage ever since she ran for vice president. It is also alleged that advisers to Sarah Palin are telling the ex Alaskan governor to forget ever running for President, because of the explosive claims made in Joe McGinniss’ new book and other claims that could come out during the normal vetting process.
A source close to the former vice presidential candidate said: ‘Sarah Palin has been destroyed by Joe McGinniss’ no-holds-barred biography. It exposed all her lies, cover-ups and secrets.
‘As a result she has been told by her advisers that it would be political suicide to announce a White House candidacy. The press and her opponents would have a field day digging into the dirty details of her background.’
The bombshell book is said to have put the final nail in the coffin of her marriage, after Sarah’s brother Chuckie was quoted saying his sister and Todd’s marriage was over.
A friend told the National Enquirer: ‘The final straw was McGinniss quoting Sarah’s brother Chuckie telling a friend they don’t have a marriage.
‘Todd felt as if he was stabbed in the back by his own brother-in-law after 23 years of being married to the guy’s sister, and having five kids together.’
It was revealed last week that former basketball player Glen Rice had a one-time fling with the Alaska governor when she was a news anchor for her local station and he was a junior at the University of Michigan.
The source told the Enquirer that Todd feels like he’s been made a laughing stock as the hook up had become a joke on late night TV and was all over the internet.
He was also said to be ‘fuming’ over the biography’s confirmation that his wife had an affair with his business partner Brad Hanson and that Todd dissolved their snowmobile dealership after learning of it.
Of course, as in any other high-profile divorce, there is always the initial denial when the news of a divorce goes public. We expect nothing less from the Palins, as they make a vigorous effort to denounce these claims. However, after the dust settles, the truth will prevail, and we’ll see whether there is a divorce or not. Yes – we shall see…
