Chrysler Pushes Back on US Call for Jeep Vehicle Recall

The U.S. government today called for a major recall of nearly 3 million Chrysler sport utility vehicles based on what its experts say is a deadly fire hazard that has left an estimated 51 people dead.

“This will be the biggest recall [in terms of impact] since the Ford Pinto,” said Clarence Ditlow, executive director of the Center for Auto Safety, which requested a U.S. probe into the SUVs in 2010.

The automaker is refusing, however, saying that its vehicles are safe and not defective.

The government says that initial findings show a safety defect in older model Jeeps — the Jeep Grand Cherokee from 1993 to 2004, and the Jeep Liberty 2002 to 2007.

The government also says the fuel tanks are vulnerable to rupture in rear-end collisions.

Even The CEO of Chrysler Calls Romney A Liar – “Jeep Assembly Will Remain In The U.S”

Romney first said it in one of his stump speeches, that because of President Obama jeep manufacturing was leaving Ohio, destroying jobs in the process, and relocating to China. He then doubled down on that message with an ad geared to the people of Ohio. Then, to cover all his basis, Mitt Romney is presently playing a radio ad in the state explaining that Jeep manufacturing is on its way to China.

The problem is Mitt Romney is lying, and it was pointed out to him after he said it in his original stump speech. Chrysler, the parent company of Jeep, told Romney that what he was saying was incorrect. Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne responded in a statement;

“I feel obliged to unambiguously restate our position: Jeep production will not be moved from the United States to China. Jeep assembly lines will remain in operation in the United States and will constitute the backbone of the brand. … It is inaccurate to suggest anything different.”

But of course, hearing the CEO of the company say you’re wrong means absolutely nothing to the Romney campaign  and the lie that Jeep is moving to China is still featured in his campaign speeches, on television and now on radio.

The Obama campaign is also pointing to this latest Romney lie by putting out an ad of their own. In the ad, Romney is referred to as “dishonest.” I’ll be a little more blunt and call it the way I see it. Romney is a liar!

Romney Called For Detroit Bankruptcy, Now Panders For Their Votes

Mitt Romney was one of the main opponents to President Obama’s auto bailout, a bailout that has brought back the United States auto industry and saved thousands of jobs nationwide, especially in Detroit Michigan, the major producer of automobiles. So strong were his disagreements with the bailout, Romney suggested that Detroit and the auto industry should “go bankrupt.”

Today however, Romney made his way back to Detroit as a Republican presidential candidate for the 2012 elections, hoping to sell his economic policies, but the people of the motor-city have not forgotten about Romney’s stance on the auto bailout.

Below is their Welcome Message for Mitt Romney.

Best Ad On Superbowl Sunday

A few years ago, Chrysler was bailed out by the government. At the time, Republicans and Conservatives complained that the entire auto industry should be allowed to fail. Gone was any concern about the millions of jobs that would have been lost had the Obama Administration not bailed out the industry.

Now, two years later, the American auto industry is back. General Motors is almost back to number one in the world, and Detroit is once again hiring and putting out the quality cars they were known for in the early years. And with a patriotic tonel that should make any American proud, Chrysler’s 2 minute commercial on Superbowl Sunday was a hit.

Although these Republicans and Conservatives are still against bailing out this industry, this video is the EzKool’s  pick for ‘Best Ad In Superbowl 45’.

Enjoy!
