So, Donald Trump took a whopping last when his TrumpDontCare health care bill failed miserably in the House of Representatives. The bill, which generated a massive popularity of 17% with Americans, was also extremely unpopular with members of his own Republican party, and they turned their backs on Trump, causing him to pull the bill from a vote.
That all happened last week. This week, Trump decided that the way to win favor among his fellow Republicans, the way to be the master negotiator he thinks he is, is to do what he does best – attack the people in his own party!
In a Thursday tweet, Trump issued a warning to The Freedom Caucus – a group of Conservative Republicans who bucked his healthcare plan, causing it to fail.
“The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!”
The tweet was answered by members of the Freedom Caucus. One in particular compared Trump to a fifth grader, trying to bully others to get his way!
“It didn’t take long for the swamp to drain President Trump,” tweeted Rep. Justin Amash, a Freedom Caucus member.
