While campaigning for Hillary Clinton in North Carolina on Friday, President Obama defended a Trump supporter who tried to disrupt the president’s speech. Naturally, the crowd tried to shout down the lost Trump soul, but the president stood up for the man.
“Everybody sit down and be quiet for a second,” Obama said. “You’ve got an older gentleman who’s supporting his candidate,” he added. “He’s not doing nothing. You don’t have to worry about him.”
“We live in a country that respects free speech,” the president later said. “Don’t boo, vote.”
