Of course, she issued this statement, something she called an apology.
“I would like to apologize for any unintentional harm caused by my comment. My comment was not intended to be racist at all. I was referring to my day being made for the change in the White House! I am truly sorry for any hard feeling this may have caused! Those who know me, know that I am not in any way racist! Again, I would like to apologize for this getting out of hand!”
I laugh every time I hear a racist say, “those who know me know that I’m not a in any way racist!” The very fact that you find yourself apologizing for making racist statements, mean you’re racist. You don’t have to cover your head with a white sheet while taking part in a lynching to be considered racist!
But I digress.
That apology was issued by Clay Mayor, Beverly Whaling. Whaling was pressured to give up her job by a petition that received over 154,000 signatures, a petition brought her racism nationwide.
So what did Whaling say about the First Lady of the United States? Well, she didn’t actually say anything, but she agreed with the racist statement about Michelle Obama and that was enough.
On a Facebook post, Pamela Ramsey Taylor, an apparent associate of Whaling, said; “It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified first lady in the White House,” probably referring to Donald Trump’s wife, Melania. Pamela continued, “I’m tired of seeing a ape in heels.”
Mayor Beverly Whaling replied, “Just made my day Pam.”
Her apology and declaration that she is not a racist, came some time after.
