On Monday, Donald Trump made an exception to his “ban all Muslims” from entering the United States policy. The exception to Donald’s rule is the newly elected Muslim mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
But after Khan criticized Donald for not having a basic understanding of Islam, we should all expect Donald to call Khan a name or two, revoke the exception that would have allowed Khan to visit the United States and reinforce his “ban all Muslims” policy.
It’s what any sensible 3rd grader would do.
“This isn’t just about me,” Sadiq Khan said Tuesday, according to The Associated Press. “It’s about my friends, my family and everyone who comes from a background similar to mine, anywhere in the world.
“Donald Trump’s ignorant view of Islam could make both our countries less safe — it risks alienating mainstream Muslims and plays into the hands of extremists,” he added.
London elected Khan on Friday, making him the first Muslim mayor of a major Western capital.
Khan, a Labour Party member and former human rights lawyer, is the son of Pakistani immigrants.
