Rick Santorum Blames Obama for Not Bombing ISIS – Fact: 6,000 Airstrikes and Counting

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum went to a Presidential Family Forum in Iowa and lied to the people, telling them that President Obama refuse to drop bombs on ISIS, although the president has ordered 6,000 airstrikes on the terrorist group so far, and counting…

“We have a president who won’t even identify ISIS as Islamic nor will he identify it as a state,” Santorum said. “He says we can’t bomb them because we can’t recognize them as a state because it will give them too much prestige; we can’t say they’re Islamic because it will give them too much credibility. This is delusional and it’s costing lives.”

The U.S.-led bombing campaign against ISIS has killed over 20,000 ISIS fighters and helped Kurdish forces retake cities such as Sinjar, Kobani and Tel Abyad.

Poll – Bernie Sanders Gains Ground on Hillary Clinton

Although the new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows Hillary Clinton gaining 3 percentage points, the same poll shows Bernie Sanders increasing his support by 10 points.

According to the ABC News/Washington Post poll, Hillary Clinton has gone from leading Bernie Sanders 56%-22% in October to 59%-35% in November. Support for Sen. Sanders is up thirteen percent, and support for former Sec. of State Clinton has gone up by three percent in the past month. Voters said that the three most important issues in the election are the economy (33%), healthcare (13%), and immigration (10%).

The poll reveals that Sanders had made gains with Democrats and Democratic leaners under age 50. Sen. Sanders has also made limited gains among non-whites and women.

Refugees From Reality

Leave it to the GOP (and some uninformed Democrats) to make a frightening situation something to panic over. The Paris attacks were terrible. The threat of more terrorist attacks on Europe is very real. But if you want to stop terrorists from coming into the United States, tampering with the refugee system is exactly the wrong place to start.

The United States has accepted about 70,00 refugees into this country since 2009.  And there’s a lengthy process. One-third of them were from countries that, on first glance, might supply potential terrorists. How many of these refugees turned out to be terrorists or involved in potential terrorist plots? None.  Further, if ISIS or any other group wanted to send potential terrorists to the United States, why would they choose a process that is thoroughly vetted and could take up to two years? It makes no sense. Which is why, I’m sure, the Republicans are pursuing legislation that would affect the refugee program.

It would be far easier for a potential bomber to come in as a tourist. Or as a worker who doesn’t need a visa. Or as a student.  But of course, no politician wants to shut down tourism or interfere with students who want to come to the U.S. to study or with someone who will do a job that an American won’t or can’t (including high tech jobs that require math, which seems to be another GOP weakness). That would be an economic catastrophe. So instead, they’re going after the one program that vets all applicants over a specified period of time as their target.

Even better, Donald Trump leads the GOP with a policy of building a very high wall on the Mexican border to stop the hordes who are coming to the United States. The truth is that more people are leaving the US for Mexico than are trying to come to this country.  The people who really want to come in, the drug smugglers, have built sophisticated tunnels. A wall won’t stop them.

President Obama is exactly right to veto any legislation that is built on fear, xenophobia and ignorance, which the right seems to think will win it an election next year. Hillary Clinton has proposed a specific, pragmatic policy for dealing with ISIS that goes beyond mere rhetoric and fearful slogans. It’s a policy that even conservatives view as thoughtful and worth considering.

Fear has been the coin of the realm for the Republican Party since 2001. They’ve run on a platform that says only they can keep us safe and I’m sure they’ll plug that exhausted line until November. What they need is a detailed plan for actually fighting ISIS both militarily and diplomatically with our allies. It will take thought and political will rather than blame. So far, I haven’t heard anything that gives me confidence in their ability to confront the threat.

Adele’s “Hello” Brings This Feuding Thanksgiving Family Together – Video

Saturday Night Live found the perfect remedy for the usual and expected Thanksgiving argument, and you know there is one coming to your dinner table in a couple of days. In the SNL play, multiple talking-points are thrown about, talking points straight from Fox News.

“I saw an ISIS today in the A&P, when I was picking up the yams,” a woman around the table said, referring to the Syrian refugee situation and the call from multiple governors to keep refugees out of their state.

“Why is it that your ‘friends’ keep antagonizing the police?” was another question asked to the only black person at the dinner table. Topics like these will certainly bring on arguments, but thank God for Adale!

Hate Crime – White Man “KnockOut” 81 Year Old Black Man – Video

The video shows the white man driving around in his car looking for a black person to “knockout,” because according to him, he wanted to see if the video gets “nationally televised.”

“For about a week now I have been unable to go through with this plan.” said Conrad Barrett of Houston, Texas. “The plan is to see if I were to hit a black person, would this be nationally televised.”

Well not only did it get televised, but the white man, Conrad Barrett, was arrested and charged in a hate crime and is now serving 71 months in prison.

Roy Coleman was left with a broken jaw and is traumatized by the incident and the memories it brought back.. His daughter expressed how devastated she was after seeing the video.

“When I first saw the video, I was devastated,” she said. “It broke my heart to see someone hit my father. He’s 81. It goes way back emotionally. I think he’s broken.”

She went on to say that although her father is no longer able to live on his own, “I don’t hold any hard feelings for that young man. My heart goes out to his parents because they are hurting just like we are. They’re hurting because they’ve lost a son and I’m hurting because I’ve lost half of my dad.”

Ted Cruz Suggests President Obama Prefer Muslims Over Americans – Video

Ted Cruz has figured out a way to get another rise in the polls from the clueless Republican base with another dumb attack on the President. In talking to one of the original Obama Haters, Sean Hannity on Fox News, Cruz talked about the recent terrorist events in Paris, and his completely foolish views that the president prefers Muslims over Americans.

HANNITY: Senator, [Clinton] couldn’t say [“radical Islam”] during the debate Saturday, couldn’t say it today. Bernie Sanders thinks climate change is a bigger national security threat.

I want you to respond to that. And as you are, we have new footage, by the way, from inside the Paris cafe of some of the refugees (sic) attacking these innocent men, women and children. So what’s your answer to her and Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama when they say these things?

CRUZ: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, the modern Democratic Party, has a blindness to radical Islamic terrorism, and they’ve endangered the safety and security of this country, the safety and security of millions of Americans.

You know, have you noticed that the one time President Obama and Hillary Clinton are willing to use military force is when using it benefits radical Islamic terrorists? Go back to the beginning of the administration, Libya. Listen, Qaddafi was a bad man. He had a terrible human rights record, but he had voluntarily handed over his nuclear weapons efforts. He was aiding the United States in going after radical Islamic terrorists. He was targeting the terrorists. And what did Obama and Clinton do? They led NATO in bombing Qaddafi and doing everything they could to drive him out of power. And the consequence was they handed Libya over to warring tribes of radical Islamic terrorists. One of the reasons Benghazi happened, four Americans were murdered—It wasn’t just Hillary Clinton’s malfeasance on that night. It was the failed foreign policy that had handed that country over to radical Islamic terrorists.

They did the same thing in Egypt. Mubarak, again a flawed man, a dictator with a terrible human rights record, but he consistently stood as an ally with America against radical Islamic terrorists. What did Obama and Clinton do? Pushed Mubarak out and pushed the Muslim Brotherhood, which finances radical Islamic terrorism…

New Poll – Donald Trump’s Crazy Antics Give Him HUGE GOP Lead

Over the last few weeks Donald Trump and Ben Carson were basically tied for the first position in the race for the Republican nomination for president. But thanks to the recent terrorist attacks in France, and some idiotic and anti-constitution statements from Trump regarding Syrian refugees,  in addition to his unbelievable vernal attack on Ben Carson, the Republican base has once again fall in love with The Donald.

A new poll shows Donald Trump with  commanding lead over the rest of the Republican field for president.

In the Republican primary race, the newest NBC News/SurveyMonkey online poll shows Donald Trump has the frontrunner spot to himself, with 28% support among Republican and independent voters who lean Republican. Support for Ben Carson, who was tied with Trump in last month’s online poll, has fallen off by 8 points and the former neurosurgeon is now tied with Ted Cruz at 18%. Trailing not too far behind is Marco Rubio, at 11%. The next tier of candidates has a lot of catching up to do, with Jeb Bush at 4% and Chris Christie and Carly Fiorina each with 3%.

Ted Cruz – For Bringing Syrian Refugees to U.S Before he was Against it – Video

At a time when everything is recorded – sometimes in High Definition – you would think that people, especially those wishing to be president of the United States, would at least be more consistent in their positions.

Yes, positions change, views evolve, but when they do, at least acknowledge that evolution and embrace it, and don’t act as if you’ve always maintained your new way of thinking.

That is what Ted Cruz is doing these days in the debate about whether Syrian refugees should be allowed in the United States. Back in February, Ted Cruz – whose father is a Cuban refugee – was all for bringing Syrians here. In an interview on Fox News, Cruz looked into the camera and made the case that the refugees should be welcomed.

“We have welcomed refugees — the tired, huddled masses — for centuries, he said. “That’s been the history of the United States. We should continue to do so.” He added: “We have to continue to be vigilant to make sure those coming are not affiliated with the terrorists, but we can do that.”

But of course that was then. Now, Cruz thinks it’s “lunacy” to bring “the tired, huddled masses” from Syria here.

“It is nothing less than lunacy,” Cruz said as recently as last Saturday. “It makes no sense whatsoever for us to be bringing in refugees who our intelligence cannot determine if they are terrorists here to kill us or not. Those who are fleeing persecution should be resettled in the Middle East in majority Muslim countries.”

And when the president basically quoted what Cruz said in February and said it was “shameful” that governors are now against bring refugees here, Cruz took it personally and dared the president to “come back and insult me to my face!” Total insanity if you ask me.

Video of Laquan McDonald’s Shooting Could be Released Pending Judge’s Ruling

Chicago police may be forced to release video that is said to show an officer shooting a black teenager 16 times, WGNTV reports.

A Cook County judge is expected to decide Thursday whether to order police to release dashcam video of the October 2014 shooting death of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.

Police have said McDonald refused to drop a knife when officers confronted him while responding to a call about a person walking down a street with a knife.

An attorney for McDonald’s family who has seen the video says the footage shows the teen was holding a small knife and walking away from officers when one officer opened fire.

A freelance journalist requested the footage in a public records request. Judge Franklin Valderrama has said he would announce his decision Thursday.

Mastermind of Paris Terrorist Attacks Confirmed Dead

The man responsible for the Paris attacks last weekend was confirmed dead by French authorities this morning.

Abdelhamid Abaaoud was identified by his fingerprints collected at the scene in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis. His body was found “riddled with impacts,” according to the prosecutor’s statement.

The operation started with shootings at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, officials said. It resulted in the initial arrest of three people inside an apartment. At that point, a woman triggered a suicide vest.

Police fired nearly 5,000 rounds during the Saint-Denis raid, Paris Prosecutor Francois Molins said Wednesday, adding that it was a particularly difficult raid because the apartment had an armored door.

Investigators were led to the apartment building in Saint-Denis after reviewing cellphone records and surveillance video indicating that Abbaoud, previously thought to be in Syria, was staying there, Molins said.

Molins said the blast from the suicide bomber caused the building to partially collapse, which has added to the amount of time needed to conduct the investigation because officials have had to reinforce the walls before collecting more evidence.
