OMG – Jeb Bush Says George Bush is His Top Foreign Policy Adviser – #Insanity

Here we go again. Another unwanted and unnecessary trip down Bush lane. Do we really want George Bush advising anyone on foreign policies? What is he advising Jeb on, telling him what not to do?

Bush cited his brother, former President George W. Bush, as one of his main advisers on the Middle East in a private meeting in Manhattan on Tuesday, according to three people who attended the off-the-record event.

The comment came as a shock to some who were in the room because Jeb, a likely presidential contender, has taken pains to publicly distance himself from his brother and his controversial policies, particularly in that area of the world.

In a national security speech in February, Bush said, “I am my own man,” and he has insisted he would develop his own policies on foreign affairs if he decides to run for president.

Cleveland Cavs Sorry for “Joking” about Domestic Violence – Video

Really? A video that can be interpreted as domestic violence? Who in their right mind thought this would have been funny and that showing it at a basket ball playoff game would be ideal?

During a timeout at their game against the Chicago Bulls, the one-minute video spoofs a health care commercial where a couple recreates the final dance scene from the movie “Dirty Dancing.”

In the Cavs’ parody, a man, dressed in a Cleveland Cavaliers T-shirt, is seen suggestively dancing around the kitchen with his partner, a woman. As he completes the “lift,” he realizes she’s wearing a red Chicago Bulls T-shirt, prompting him to throw her down on the ground.

ISIS Threatens Pamela Geller

So it seems that the Islamic State wants Pamela Geller’s head… literally. And the terrorist group has issued a direct threat to the Manhattan blogger.

In a posting on the message board JustPasteIt, ISIS, or someone portraying as ISIS, said it was sending “all our Lions to achieve her slaughter.”

“Our aim was the khanzeer (swine) Pamela Geller and to show her that we don’t care what land she hides in or what sky shields her,” it said.

“The attack by the Islamic State in America is only the beginning of our efforts to establish a wiliyah in the heart of our enemy,” the message continued, apparently misspelling the Arabic word “wilayah,” which means authority or governance.

“We have been in touch with Pamela Geller,” police spokesman Stephen Davis told The Daily News. “People known to be associated with ISIS have posted a direct threat to her. To whatever extent she will be in New York City, we will do a comprehensive threat assessment to determine what, if any measures, to take.”

Geller you may recall, recently organized a prophet Muhammad drawing contest in Texas. Two Muslim men were shot and killed when they tried to shut down the contest by opening fire on the contestants.

Geller has since gone on Fox News and other media outlets to proclaim her right to depict the Islam leader anyway she sees fit.

The man accused of abducting and killing a University of Virginia student has been charged with capital murder and a prosecutor said Tuesday she will seek the death penalty if the case goes to trial, the NY Post reports.

The indictment accusing Jesse L. Matthew Jr. of capital murder in the death of Hannah Graham is based on new forensic evidence, Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney Denise Lunsford told reporters after a hearing in which new defense attorneys with experience in death penalty cases were appointed. She declined to elaborate on the evidence.

Matthew, a former hospital worker and taxi driver, already was charged with first-degree murder and abduction with intent to defile and is being held without bond.

Shackled and handcuffed, Matthew showed no expression at Tuesday’s hearing. He had been served the new indictment earlier in the day, Lunsford said.

Muslim Hater Pamela Geller Compares Herself to Rosa Parks – Video

I’m sure you’ve all heard of the brilliant idea a conservative group had, to hold a contest for people wishing to draw the Muslim Prophet Muhammad. Of course this was a dumb and insensitive to the entire Muslim community who say its disrespectful to portray their leader in any disparaging way, and the drawing contest idea had disaster written all over it from the very onset.

Thinking that their religious leader was being discredited by the group, two Muslim men went to Texas intent of killing as much people as possible.

In the end, the two men were both shot and killed. And American civilian casualties were at a minimum, and today the terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for the men’s action.

We would think that the organizer of this event would have had a chance to reflect on what happened over the last couple of days, and maybe she’d want to set the record straight. But instead, Pamela Geller went on Fox News and double down on the hate and what she thought was a great idea. And in the process, she even found time to compare herself to Rosa Parks.

This Man Was Stuck In a Basketball Rim in Seattle – PICs

It took Seattle police several hours to get a man out of a basketball rim. According to reports, the man, wielding a hammer, is believed to have climbed into the net during Mayday celebrations on Friday.

Officer Drew Fowler said Monday the man was not booked into jail but sent to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.

News helicopter video showed him hanging upside down from the rim, sometimes by just one foot, as he waved the hammer around. It took several officers to get him down, helped by a firefighter who climbed a ladder to cut the net.

The police department wrote on its Twitter feed it was considering citing the man for destruction of property — “or at least goal-tending.”

Hey ladies, Tiger Woods is back on the market… not sure if he ever left, but…

LindseyVonn and Tiger Woods call it quits | Fox News

Carly Fiorina Announces – “Yes, I am running for president”

Speaking to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Carly Fiorina, the GOP’s female version of Mitt Romney, announced that she is in fact running for president in 2016. And the occupants in the GOP clown car increased by 1.

“Yes, I am running for president,” she said on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” where she made the announcement to host George Stephanopoulos. “I think I’m the best person for the job because I understand how the economy actually works. I understand the world, who’s in it, how the world works.”

“I understand bureaucracies, and that’s what our federal government has become — a giant, bloated, unaccountable, corrupt bureaucracy,” she said. “I understand technology, which is a tool both to re-imagine government to re-engage citizens in the process of government, and I understand executive decision-making, which is making a tough call in a tough time with high stakes for which you’re prepared to be accountable.”

Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao – “You Can’t Fight The Wind”

So I watched the Floyd Mayweather / Manny Pacquiao fight last night and when it was all over, there were lots of shouting and disbelief over the fight itself and its outcome.

You see, I was the only one in the room of 7 people who wanted Mayweather to win. Now let me explain. I am not a fan of Mayweather. If I had to choose who the better human was between Mayweather and Pacquiao, I’ll definitely pick Pacquiao. Pacquiao is all about helping the people of his country while Mayweather is all about helping… Mayweather. But last night was not about being the better human, it was about being the better and smarter fighter. So that’s why I thought Mayweather was going to take it.

Pacquiao walked out to the ring all smiles. At one point, he even stopped and took a selfie, a move the other people in the room saw as a man of confidence. I took the smiles and selfie move as a man who was concerned he was going up against a fighter who had never been defeated. The smiles and selfie I thought, were just Pacquiao’s way of masking his real concerns.

Mayweather on the other hand walked out to the ring all serious, no smiles, no selfie. To me, I took that as a man on a mission, a man who was focus on getting the job done. The other people in the room contrasted Mayweather’s demeanor with that of Pacquiao and concluded Mayweather’s seriousness was because he was concerned. “Mayweather,” they said, “had never had a fighter like Pacquiao and he was afraid of being hit, afraid of losing.”

Then the fight began and Pacquiao did what everyone expected him to do. He went at Mayweather. Pacquiao fought for the people, he tried to give the audience what they paid for. Pacquiao was aggressive and went for the knockout on multiple occasions. But Mayweather was not cooperating to the dismay of the other people in the room with me.

Mayweather did his homework. He knew that going toe-to-toe with Pacquiao would result to a loss. Pacquiao is a brawler in the ring and standing in front of him taking punches and jabs is no way to win a fight. So Mayweather allowed Pacquiao to stay in attack mode from the first round to the last. Mayweather’s only hope was to avoid getting hit while landing some timely punches, and that he did.

In the end, Mayweather was a runner. He spent a lot of time on the ropes trying to get away from the attacking Pacquiao. Needless to say, the people in the room with me were all screaming at the screen, calling Mayweather all sorts of names and totally expressing their frustrations at him for running. But these people, and millions more around the world who felt disappointed by Mayweather’s technique, clearly missed one important aspect of boxing – Defense, the art of avoiding getting hit the best way you can!

At the end of the 12 rounds, Mayweather was called the winner and the room erupted in more screams and disbelief. These people couldn’t understand what had just happened. They saw Pacquiao in attack mode for 12 rounds and they saw Mayweather playing defense the whole time, so as far as they were concerned, Pacquiao won. They couldn’t understand how Mayweather got the win. Then this statistic was shown on the screen – Mayweather landed more punches than Pacquiao.

Pacquiao threw 429 punches, landed 81 for a 19% effective rate. Mayweather threw 435 punches, landed 149 for a 34% effective rate.

Seeing this, I asked the disbelievers in the room, “why do you guys think Pacquiao won when he threw less and landed less punches than Mayweather?”

I got this angry answer in response: “You can’t fight the wind!”

Yes indeed! Yes indeed!

GoFundMe Shuts Down Fundraising Page for Baltimore Police Officers

The crowdfunding service, GoFundMe shut down a page dedicated to raising $600,000 for the six police officers charged with the death of Baltimore’s Freddie Gray yesterday.

Shortly after the charges were levied against the six officers, the Baltimore Police Union began the page with the intent of raising the cash for the officers’ “living and legal expenses.” But the page was quickly shut down about 40 minutes after the charges were announced because, according to the company, the page violated the company’s terms of use.

“GoFundMe removed the fundraising campaign created for the Baltimore police officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray,” company spokeswoman Kelsea Little said Friday.
“GoFundMe cannot be used to benefit those who are charged with serious violations of the law,” she said. “The campaign clearly stated that the money raised would be used to assist the officers with their legal fees, which is in direct violation of GoFundMe’s terms.”
“Specifically, ‘campaigns in defense of formal charges or claims of heinous crimes, violent, hateful, sexual or discriminatory acts’ are not permitted on GoFundMe,” she added.

Freddie Gray’s Mother – “You can rest, Freddie. You can rest. You can be in peace now”

An autopsy ruled his death a homicide and earlier today, the six officers involved in the death of Baltimore’s Freddie Gray, found out that they will all be formally charged with his death.

After hearing of the impending charges against all the officers, Freddie Gray’s mother, Gloria Darden, expressed joy in hearing the news.

“I feel good because we got all six of them,” Darden told BuzzFeed shortly after the Baltimore state’s attorney announced charges against the six police officers on Friday.

“You can rest, Freddie. You can rest. You can be in peace now,” Darden added.

Gray suffered a severed spine while on police custody. His death triggered protests and riots on the streets of Baltimore.
