Tony Perkins – Condoms Could Lead to “Tyranny”

Tony Perkins, a staunch conservative and president of the Family Research Council, is in the news again. Now it’s not strange that Tony Perkins finds himself in the news, he’s known for saying some outlandish things that gets him the headlines. This time is no different.

In his program, Parkins spoke about the Department of Education’s investigation of 55 schools and universities that mishandled sexual assault cases. Perkins somehow made the connection that this investigation will lead to more condoms in schools, thus “tyranny.”

Speaking on his “Washington Watch” program, Perkins lamented “the sexualization that is taking place in our culture in general but on college campuses.”

“Contraception is made available as if it were candy which sends a message, well it’s there, it must be there for a reason, and then we’re surprised when — this is not justification, it’s wrong, we are all responsible for our actions — but we’re surprised when people act on these outside factors that they are surrounded by,” Perkins said. “It leads to tyranny.”

Donald Sterling Blames “the girl” For his Racist Statements

It is never the racists’ fault,  someone else is always to be blamed. In an interview with CNN, Sterling’s scapegoat was “the girl” who recorded his racist rants.

“I’m not a racist. I made a terrible mistake,” Mr Sterling told CNN. “I’m here to apologise.”

“When I listen to that tape, I don’t even know how I can say words like that,” he said. “I don’t know why the girl had me say those things.”

Sterling, the present owner of the LA Clippers, was recently banned from the the day to day activities of the team and the NBA is currently going through the process of removing him as team owner. But the 81 year old Sterling has decided to fight to maintain ownership, and feels that his past will help him regain ownership.

“I’m a good member who made a mistake,” he said. “Am I entitled to one mistake, am I after 35 years? Am I entitled to one mistake? It’s a terrible mistake, and I’ll never do it again.”

Sarah Palin Endorses Alligator Fighter for Senate

In case you’re wondering, Sarah Palin claims that she wants the best for America. That’s apparently why she is making all these endorsements.

The latest person Palin wants
to see in a leadership role in America is a teabagger whose only claim to fame is wrestling an alligator. A man named Rob Maness.

In her endorsement, Palin said;

“In the Louisiana Senate race we have the opportunity to send a true conservative and a real warrior to join that fight. So, today I am lending my support to retired Col. Rob Maness for U.S. Senate.”

In Palin’s America, we’ll all he able to see Russia from her house and America would be run by quitters and alligator wrestlers. That’s why I vote Democratic.

Zimmerman’s Friend Now Say Trayvon Was Racially Profiled

Frank Taaffe

Back in the day when George Zimmerman racially profiled Trayvon Martin and murdered him in the backyard of a Florida neighborhood, Frank Taaffe was George’s biggest fan and supporter. Taaffe even went on many cable shows to defend his “friend” and neighbor.

But time and Taaffe have changed.

“What I know of George and his tendencies and also my opinion is that he racially profiled Trayvon Martin that night because if that had been a white kid on a cell phone, walking through our neighborhood, he wouldn’t have stayed on him the way he did and that’s a fact and I believe that in my heart,” said Taaffe.

This is very different from what Taaffe told News 13 numerous times after the shooting, including during an interview back in May 2012 when he said, “That George Zimmerman in a position in a volunteer role wanted to ensure the safety of the community he lived in and he became the victim.”

But today, Taaffe claims he just wants to clear his conscience, “I can only ask for the country to forgive me and today I believe that he racially profiled him based on the color of his skin. Reporter: Some people may wonder what does Frank Taaffe have to gain by doing this? Are you working on a book? No book. A TV show? No. I’m just working on me right now and getting right with God.”

Taaffe says his brother’s death last month and the death of his two sons over the past two years has changed him.

President Obama Congratulates Michael Sam and The St Louis Rams

Michael Sam and his boyfriend Vito Cammisano celebrate being drafted

He recently came out to the world as the first openly gay player in college football. Now, after being drafted by the St. Louis Rams, Michael Sam will be the first openly gay football player in the NFL.

Among other things, President Obama congratulated Sam saying, “From the playing field to the corporate boardroom, LGBT Americans prove everyday that you should be judged by what you do and not who you are.” He also congratulated the NFL and the St. Louis Rams, the team that drafted Sam.

Sam, an All-American defensive end who played for the University of Missouri, made history when he was picked by the Rams in the seventh and final round. He was the 249th of 256 players selected.

The 24-year-old got the news by telephone from Rams’ coach Jeff Fisher, who told Sam: “You are a Ram. The wait is finally over.”

Again, this happened in the year 2014 in Brooklyn New York. A true Rosa Parks moment happened about a week ago on May 5th on the B35. Ironically, the racist got his wish in the end, as the other passengers on the bus all went to the back of the bus to keep another black man from getting to the white racist.

OMG! Chuck Todd Thinks Benghazi Is All Partisan…”A Political Stunt!” OMG!

Chuck Todd works at MSNBC, but don’t let that fool you. He has developed a reputation of letting Republican talking points go unchallenged, and… wait… come to think of it, many of the MSNBC hosts these days allow Republicans to spew their talking points unchallenged. These hosts are concerned that if they challenge these Republicans with facts, the Republicans will avoid the network. So the kiss-ass is abundant!

Bring back the days of Keith Olbermann!

Anyways, like I was saying. Chuck Todd has developed a reputation as a soft reporter, so hearing him denounce the recent Republican fund-raising edition of Benghazi caused me to take another look. I had to make sure Todd was okay. Maybe he fell and hit his head on the White House lawn when no one was looking, who knows?

In a recent episode of Morning Joe, Todd said, “the way they rolled this out it seems very political, very ham-handed. . .  Right now it seems like nothing more than a partisan stunt.”

Enjoy some Chuck Todd like you’ve never seen before, cause you may not see or hear this Chuck Todd again!

So Now Mitt Romney Wants The 47% Moochers To Get a Raise

Photo:.(AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin)

Sidenote: It is becoming more and more apparent that Mitt Romney is attempting another run for the presidency in 2016. For those keeping count, 2016 would be his third run.

Remember the 47%? They are the ones who sank Romney battleship in the 2012 presidential election. Realizing his mistake, Romney is now trying to change his tone just in case 2016 is a go.

“I, for instance, as you know, part company with many of the conservatives in my party on the issue of the minimum wage. I think we ought to raise it,” he said. “Because frankly, our party is all about more jobs and better pay.”

The 47 percent were called moochers by Mitt Romney. According to the man who was the Republican’s choice for president in 2012, these 47% or moochers are those “who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it.”

Mitt Romney is also the man who bought businesses, fired the employees of those business, burden those businesses with debt and then liquidate those businesses, walking away with huge profits. It’s called being a venture capitalist and Mitt Romney the god of the vultures!

Sounds kind of crazy and disingenuious listening to him now talk about giving members of 47% a raise!

Weekly Address – First Lady Addresses Mothers and The Kidnapped Nigerian Girls

On this Mother’s Day weekend, First Lady Michelle Obama took the time to wish the mothers of the nation a Happy Mothers Day, and she spent some time talking about the unbelievable events unfolding in Nigeria, where over 200 young girls were kidnapped.

Hello everyone, I’m Michelle Obama, and on this Mother’s Day weekend, I want to take a moment to honor all the mothers out there and wish you a Happy Mother’s Day.

I also want to speak to you about an issue of great significance to me as a First Lady, and more importantly, as the mother of two young daughters.

Like millions of people across the globe, my husband and I are outraged and heartbroken over the kidnapping of more than 200 Nigerian girls from their school dormitory in the middle of the night.

This unconscionable act was committed by a terrorist group determined to keep these girls from getting an education – grown men attempting to snuff out the aspirations of young girls.

How to Waste Taxpayers Money – Republican Introduces Bill to Honor Yogurt

New York is an amazing place. We have the official State Flower, a State Tree and believe it or not, the state muffin. Yes, New York is truly an amazing place. So with all these official state wasters-of-time-and-money, why not introduce another bill to name the Yogurt the official State Snack?

The bill was introduced by Republican State Senator Michael Renzenhofer. Mr Renzenhofer, acting on behalf of a local fourth grade class introduced the bill in the yogurt legislation in the Senate this week. With all the questions and challenges to the bill, almost an hour was spent discussing yogurt as the official state snack!

It one point, and maybe realizing that he has successfully managed to waste the Senate’s time and the state’s money,

Our taxpayers money at work!

Jon Stewart summed it up lovely, and I’m sure the rest of the nation feels the same way when Senate Republicans in Washington waste the nation’s time and money on things like…. Benghazi! Stewart said, “the good people of a New York do not give a f*ck!”

In the end the bill passed 52-8 and moves on to the State’s assembly.

Pope Francis calls for The Redistribution of Wealth

Well he’s already hated on the right, and has been called all sorts of names like Marxist to socialist by the likes of Rush Limbaugh, and the rest of the cast over at Fox News.

But that is not stopping Pope Francis from continuing to preach about poverty. And in a message today, the Pope’s message was one of redistribution of wealth from the rich and greedy to the poor and needy.

Francis made the appeal during a speech to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the heads of major U.N. agencies who are meeting in Rome this week.

Latin America’s first pope has frequently lashed out at the injustices of capitalism and the global economic system that excludes so much of humanity.

On Friday, Francis called for the United Nations to promote a “worldwide ethical mobilization” of solidarity with the poor in a new spirit of generosity.

He said a more equal form of economic progress can be had through “the legitimate redistribution of economic benefits by the state, as well as indispensable cooperation between the private sector and civil society.”

Francis had a similar message to the World Economic Forum in January and in his apostolic exhortation “The Joy of the Gospel.” That document, which denounced trickle-down economic theories as unproven and naive, provoked criticism in the U.S. that he was Marxist.
