Today’s Recipe – Baked Zucchini Fries

BAKED ZUCCHINI FRIES
Here’s what you will need:

Zucchini Fries:
2 medium zucchinis, sliced into skinny sticks
2 large eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste

Dipping Sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons horseradish sauce
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.

In a shallow dish, combine the Panko, Parmesan cheese, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

In a small bowl, whisk two eggs.

Dip the zucchini sticks in the eggs and then into the Panko mixture. Coat evenly. Then, place the coated zucchini sticks onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for about 20 minutes, turning once about halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

To make the dipping sauce, place all of the ingredients in a bowl; then whisk until combined.

Starbucks Serves “Satanic” Beverages, Then Issues an Apology

Not one, but two beverages served to a customer clearly showing symbols associated with satanic cults.

Megan Pinion posted photos of two beverages she bought at a Baton Rouge coffee shop on her Facebook page, one showing a star and another with the number 666 drawn in the foam.

She said the star appeared within the cup’s circular rim as if it were Lucifer’s pentagram, and the three-digit numeral refers to the Antichrist foretold in the Book of Revelations.

Pinion said the star might simply have been in reference to one in the company’s logo, which some say contains occult symbols itself.

A spokesman for Starbucks said the company became aware of Pinion’s complaints, which were shared by about 1,800 people, through the social media service.

“We reached out to her through social media and apologized,” said company spokesman Tom Kuhn. “We’re taking the complaint seriously. We’re not sure who served her or what kind of beverage it was. It looks kind of caramel-ish in the photos.”

Health Care ObamaCare Politics Repeal

Fox News To Ted Cruz – Majority of Americans Want Obamacare – Video

Although Americans from all stripes are showing more support for the President’s health care law, Republicans like Ted Cruz are still insisting that the people want “every word” of the law repealed.

On the morning after a massive surge by Americans to get healthcare, Cruz was heard on Fox News saying, “I think at this point it is abundantly clear this thing it isn’t working. You can’t fiddle around the edges. I think it is the essence of pragmatism to recognize this thing isn’t working, and let’s start over, let’s repeal every word of it.”

Fox host Steve Doocy printed out to Cruz that he was speaking for a minority, not the majority of Americans.

“You know, you’re kind of in a minority when it comes to that. You look at the polling, Senator, and a lot of Americans like parts of it, would like to see parts of it continue. So, to blow the whole thing up, I don’t know if people are behind that.”

Cruz, however, discarded that fact and held firm to his talking point, saying “every poll that’s done” showed that the Affordable Care Act was the “profoundly most unpopular law we’ve seen in modern times.”

“I think it’s going to be repealed because I think the American people are demanding it,” the Texas Republican added.

Jon Stewart Calls Bullpuckie On Chris Christie’s BridgeGate Report – Video

The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart took apart New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for exonerating himself in the Bridgegate scandal, at the taxpayers’ expense, no less. After getting in a few shots at the media for their ridiculous claims that Christie’s “got his mojo back,” Stewart and his cohort, Samantha Bee slammed Christie and his fellow Republicans for heading to Las Vegas to kiss billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson’s ring.

Adelson wasn’t too happy with Christie for daring to use the words “occupied territory” during his speech at the event, which made Stewart wonder aloud how this happened.

STEWART: This is crazy. If Sheldon Adelson doesn’t approve of a term as widely accepted as occupied territories, what does he think is an acceptable term for that area? […]

When did the guy who makes Donald Trump’s hair look natural get veto power over every word Republicans say about Israel?

Man Who Shot at White House Gets 25 Years in Prison

For all you do, this prison term’s for you.

An Idaho man who fired an assault rifle at the White House in 2011 was sentenced Monday to 25 years in prison.

Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez, 23, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge Rosemary Collyer in Washington Monday afternoon. He was arrested shortly after the November 11, 2011 attack and indicted on charges including attempting to assassinate President Barack Obama.

Obama and first lady Michelle Obama were not at home at the time the shots were fired from the vicinity of Constitution Avenue that night. However, bullets believed to be from the attack struck the White House, with one lodging in a window on the south side of the White House.

Ortega-Hernandez pled guilty last year to reduced charges of damaging a dwelling and using a firearm in a crime of violence. In addition, he conceded his acts amounted to a terrorist attack

OkCupid is Blocking Firefox Users Because Firefox President Is Anti-Gay

Users of Firefox browsers tying to access the popular match making website are greeted with this message.

Hello there, Mozilla Firefox user. Pardon this interruption of your OkCupid experience.

Mozilla’s new CEO, Brendan Eich, is an opponent of equal rights for gay couples. We would therefore prefer that our users not use Mozilla software to access OkCupid.

Politics is normally not the business of a website, and we all know there’s a lot more wrong with the world than misguided CEOs. So you might wonder why we’re asserting ourselves today. This is why: we’ve devoted the last ten years to bringing people—all people—together. If individuals like Mr. Eich had their way, then roughly 8% of the relationships we’ve worked so hard to bring about would be illegal. Equality for gay relationships is personally important to many of us here at OkCupid. But it’s professionally important to the entire company. OkCupid is for creating love. Those who seek to deny love and instead enforce misery, shame, and frustration are our enemies, and we wish them nothing but failure.

If you want to keep using Firefox, the link at the bottom will take you through to the site.

However, we urge you to consider different software for accessing OkCupid.

Man Allowed Hyena to Eat his Genitals Because He Thought It Would Make Him Rich

Mr Zulu

The things some people would do to become rich. Correct that, cause I really don’t think anyone else would do what Mr Zulu from Malawi did.

According to Mr. Zulu, a bush doctor told him that allowing animals to eat parts of his body would make him rich. This is a true story folks, stop laughing.

Mr. Zulu told The Times of Zambia; ‘I met some business persons who told me the best way to become rich was to sacrifice parts of my body.’

Mr Zulu said that the witch doctor did not make it clear that his body parts would be ‘lost’.

Yet despite the horrific ordeal, Mr Zulu admitted he was still hopeful of becoming rich.

‘Even if I have lost some important parts of my body, I still want to get rich,’ he said.

The Malawi man has been living and working in Zambia for the past four months.

Chipata Hospital described the man’s condition as stable and said that he had been brought to the hospital by police officers.
