They’re still leaving babies in hot cars? Still?
This is the dramatic moment firemen rescued a toddler from a sweltering car after his mom left him to run an errand.
Cellphone footage shows firefighters popping the baking vehicle’s lock and lifting out the crying little boy as sweat drips from his forehead. They then strip off his clothes before rushing him into an ambulance for treatment.
The incident occurred Monday afternoon outside the Fallas Shopping Center in San Jose, California, as temperatures soared to 92 degrees.
Fire crews were called after passersby spotted the infant alone. It’s believed he had been inside the vehicle for between 5 and 10 minutes.
His mom, who has not been named, was questioned by cops on her return to the car. She claimed she and a second child had “just run into a store for a minute.” The boy was rushed to a local hospital for immediate treatment.
But San Jose Police Department said she could now face child neglect charges, reports KTVU-TV.
