Former Republican Florida Governor and present Democrat Charlie Crist has announced that he will run for governor of Florida again, this time as a Democrat, against his old party and against the contamination brought on Floridians by Teabagger Rick Scott.
Proud Teabagger Rick Scott has been a national embarrassment almost since the day he took office, and Florida has never been worse off for it. Mere hours ago, Charlie Crist addressed a crowd at an event near his home in St. Petersberg, unofficially kicking off the start of his upcoming campaign. The transcript isn’t available yet, but we do know this — Rick Scott is already running scared, and is expected to spend more than $25 million on attack ads against Crist.
To the mom who thought it was cool for her kids to dress up like Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman for Halloween, we’re glad karma has come to bite you in the butt.
According to reports, Caitlin Cimeno has been fired from her job for posting racially-insensitive photos of her sons, William Filene and Greg Cimeno, with the caption: “Happy Halloween from Zimmerman & trayvon (insert smiley face emoji here.)”
The Massachusetts woman failed to realize that you can be easily tracked down if you post your full name, photos of your children at school, shots of your car with the license plate and selfies at work (duh!). After one Instagram user wrote, “You ruined your life by posting those pics,” Caitlin quickly changed her profile name and deleted the racist shots. But sadly for her, it was too late.
According to the Facebook page Stop Blackface For Halloween, “Earlier this morning Caitlin Cimeno had her employer listed on her Facebook page, but recently deleted it. Members of the Tumblr community took note of this employer before the deletion and contacted them to report the incident. Around 12:54 pm, I called the employer to report the incident and they stated that she has been fired.”
An image posted July 14 to Facebook shows Rachel Poole with her husband and an ultrasound photo of their unborn child.
A pregnant El Paso Army wife suffered a horrible attack on Wednesday while her deployed husband watched helplessly from video chat.
This incident allegedly occurred when Corey Bernard Moss, a 19-year-old soldier at nearby Fort Bliss, went to the home of 31-year-old Rachel Poole to confront her about money he owed her, according to a police affidavit seen by KFOX14. She wasn’t home yet, so Moss broke into her home and hid inside waiting for her return, police say.
When Poole came home, she began a FaceTime call with her husband, Justin Poole, a U.S. Army soldier who was deployed overseas.
Moss allegedly attacked Poole from behind with a knife. Rachel Poole says she immediately recognized Moss during the attack and began screaming his name to her husband. Moss allegedly beat and stabbed her repeatedly, before fleeing the scene and calling a coworker to pick him up.
Poole was able to call 911 and was then taken to a local hospital with several stab wounds and fractures to her face and body that require surgery.
El Paso Police say Moss provided a voluntary statement admitting physically assaulting Poole. Moss was arrested on a charge of criminal attempted murder and booked into El Paso County Detention Center with a bond of $60,000.
Larry Dunn cheated on his wife and killed his mistress after she revealed that she was HIV positive. According to the Dallas Morning News, Dunn, 37, believed that he would not live long and wanted revenge.
One week after his mistress, Cicely Lee Bolden, revealed that she was HIV positive, Dunn arranged another sexual encounter with her. Dunn admitted that he had unprotected sex with Lee for the last time.
As she laid in bed, Dunn went to the kitchen and grabbed a steak knife. He returned to the room and slashed Bolden’s neck. Dunn told authorities that he believed that she gave him a death sentence and decided to kill her.
When Dunn left, Bolden’s 7-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter discovered her body. The children have been separated and are staying with different relatives. Authorities found Dunn’s number in Bolden’s phone and contacted him.
Dunn was arrested and revealed that he killed Bolden while enraged because he was unsure if he had infected his wife. However, Dunn and his wife have yet to test positive for HIV. Both will have to undergo more tests to get complete confirmation on their status.
Tim Hardaway Jr. has impressed as a rookie — so much so, he played nearly the entire fourth quarter Thursday night against the Bulls, one of the teams the Knicks figure to be fighting and clawing with for favorable playoff seedings.
But on the horizon looms J.R. Smith, who will serve the third leg of his five-game NBA-imposed suspension Sunday. When he returns, Hardaway’s minutes should take a big hit.
“It is a logjam,” coach Mike Woodson said of the perimeter spot, which both Smith and Hardaway play, along with Iman Shumpert, and often Pablo Prigioni. “That’s a good problem to have. But somebody’s not going to be able to play a lot of minutes. So they’ve just got to understand that. When you get your opportunity, you’ve got to make the most of it to help us.”
Hardaway is trying to do just that. In 42 minutes over two games, he has averaged 7.5 points and made 3 of 7 3-pointers.
“In the Chicago game, Tim stepped up,” Woodson said. “He’s a young kid that’s poised.”
“His confidence is sky high,” Carmelo Anthony said. “His work ethic. How much time he puts in. It pays off and shows when he gets on the basketball court.”
Hardaway credits Woodson’s faith for that soaring confidence.
“Coach said before the [Bulls] game, ‘People that are playing well are going to stay on the court and here’s an opportunity to play,’ ” said Hardaway, who hit a 3-pointer that launched the Knicks’ fourth-quarter rally and feels he has shown “heart” to the staff. “Once I heard that, just tried to take advantage, just tried to do the little things: play defense, run the floor hard, box out, defend on the low post.”
And no, I’m not talking about Dick Cheney. The revelation came courtesy a new book calked Double Down, with exerts published by Politico.
The book details behind the scenes comments and statements made by those closest to the president’s re election campaign 2012. For example, unnamed sources in the book claim that President Obama, when asked about a Golf outing with former President Bill Clinton, replied “I like him… in doses.”
Clinton, on the other hand, thought Obama was one of the luckiest people in the world, and expressed this as only Bill Clinton can.
Romney’s ineptness staggered Clinton. After the release of the 47 percent video, he remarked to a friend that, while Mitt was a decent man, he was in the wrong line of work. (‘He really shouldn’t be speaking to people in public.’) As for Obama, Clinton trotted out for his pals the same line again and again: ‘He’s luckier than a dog with two dicks.’”
“He’s luckier than a dog with two dicks.”
If that doesn’t become a t-shirt slogan by tomorrow, I will be very disappointed in the internet.
The New Jersey native who killed a TSA agent and wounded five people in a wild Los Angeles airport shootup left a note describing himself online as a “pissed off patriot” angry that airport searches violate his rights.
Paul Ciancia, 23, walked into a packed Los Angeles International Airport terminal Friday morning wearing fatigues and carrying an AR-15 assault rifle and about 150 rounds of ammunition.
He started picking off Transportation Security Administration agents — sending hundreds of terrified air travelers fleeing for safety.
Ciancia wrote in his note that he “wanted to kill TSA and pigs,” and was disappointed with the government, but did not want to hurt civilians, according to reports.
He signed it with the letters “NWO,” an apparent reference to an anti-government group called “New World Order,” according to the Daily Mail.
Ciancia sprayed gunfire as he marched through the terminal, apparently ignoring civilians while targeting TSA agents, according to reports.
TSA Officer Gerardo I. Hernandez, 39, was killed in the rampage. Hernandez was the first agent to die in the line of duty in the TSA’s 12-year history
In this week’s address, President Obama says that in order to keep growing the economy and creating good jobs, Washington must end its cycle of manufactured crises and self-inflicted wounds. It’s time for both parties to work together to pass a budget that reflects our priorities – making smart cuts in things we don’t need and closing wasteful tax loopholes, while investing in areas that create opportunities for the middle class and our future generations.
Following the shooting at LAX Airport, the first news conference was held explaining briefly what happened today. Chief of police Patrick Gannon explained.
“Thank you mayor. Patrick Gannon. I’m the chief of police here at LA International airport. As the mayor indicated 9:20 this morning, an individual came into Terminal 3 of this airport, pulled an assault rifle out of a bag and began to open fire in the terminal.
“He proceeded up into the screening are where TSA Screeners are and continued shooting, and went pass the screeners back into the airport itself.
“Personnel officers from LA Airport police responded immediately to the call, they tracked the individual through the airport, and engaged him in gunfire in terminal 3, and were able to successfully take him into custody. We had an officer involved shooting that took place.
“As you can imagine, a large amount of chaos took place during this entire incident. We believe at this point that it was a lone shooter. That he acted at least right now, was the only person that was armed in this incident. There’s a tremendous amount of investigative work that will need to be done and I will turn that over to the FBI in just a little bit.
“But nonetheless, we have done security sweep through the entire airport. We feel confident that this particular incident is tied to terminal 3 and terminal 3 only.
“And that’s all we have right now. There’s a tremendously amount of investigative work that will need to be accomplish. We have multiple victims that have been shot and have been transported. And we’ve had some other injuries as well, in additional to the suspect himself.
“I don’t have anymore information than that. I don’t want to give out information that may not be consistent later on, and so I appreciate your corporation in just getting this little bit of information out now.”
According to the official twitter page of LAX, 7 people were injured and taken to 6 different locations.
So you all know that Republicans and Conservative media have used Jon Stewart as their latest weapon against Obamacare. It is a well know fact that the Obamacare website, healthcare.gov, needs more work. The website was not ready for primetime and like the rest of the media, Jon Stewart has voiced his disappointment in the site’s roll-out and the fact that urgent improvements are needed.
Jon Stewart is disappointed at the roll-out of healthcare.gov? That was all the Republicans and the Conservative media wanted to hear. Like swarms of locust, Republicans jumped on Stewart and used his disappointment as proof that Obamacare is already a failure!
Well Stewart has a message for these so-called reporters!
“Making fun of something–that’s nothing new for us….so don’t act like us making jokes about a certain program or President is evidence that politician or issue has reached some kind of tipping point for action…although that apparently is exactly the case that they are making.”
Stewart continued…
“Don’t you use our jokes as evidence that the thing you hate must be stopped. Cause I’m sure when we joke about sh*t you like, you’re more than happy to ignore them.”
He then ended his segment in a song, with the main point being, “Go F*ck Yourself!”
