Man Who Promised To “Start Killing People” If Gun Laws Are Passed, Lost His Carry Permit

So much can happen in 24 hours.

Yesterday, we told you about the Tennessee CEO who went on YouTube and made a video promising to “start killing people” if anyone, especially the Obama administration, tries to implement gun control laws. Well today,Tennessee officials suspended the lunatic’s carry permit.

A West Tennessee man can no longer legally carry a a handgun, after he made threatening posts on the internet site YouTube.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security announced Friday that they had suspended James Yeager’s handgun carry permit.

Yeager, 42, of Camden, posted videos claiming he would “start killing people” if the Obama administration took executive action to pass gun control measures.

Officials said the decision to suspend Yeager’s handgun carry permit was based on a “material likelihood of risk of harm to the public” (TCA 39-17-1352).

“The number one priority for our department is to ensure the public’s safety. Mr. Yeager’s comments were irresponsible, dangerous, and deserved our immediate attention. Due to our concern, as well as that of law enforcement, his handgun permit was suspended immediately. We have notified Mr. Yeager about the suspension today via e-mail. He will receive an official notification of his suspension through the mail,” Commissioner Bill Gibbons said.

I'm just tired of the lies and nonsense coming from the GOP, so this is my little contribution to combat the nonsense!

Will yanking his carry license stop him from carrying out his threat? How many of the crazies who have gone on killing sprees had carry licenses? Might this move, without followup, just exacerbate his rage?

It's idiots like this that give the law-abiding and responsible gun owners a bad rap. I'm a gun owner and advocate of the 2nd Amendment but I'm not stupid. There must be responsible limits and checks placed on the publics access to guns. If gun owners don't start behaving more responsibly there will be a massive backlash against the 2nd Amendment and we won't even be invited to sit at the table when the decisions are made. Wackadoodles like this Yeager clown are the biggest threat to the 2nd Amendment. They are making their own nightmare come true to the detriment of gun owners who have a more responsible attitude about this right.
