New York is an amazing place. We have the official State Flower, a State Tree and believe it or not, the state muffin. Yes, New York is truly an amazing place. So with all these official state wasters-of-time-and-money, why not introduce another bill to name the Yogurt the official State Snack?
The bill was introduced by Republican State Senator Michael Renzenhofer. Mr Renzenhofer, acting on behalf of a local fourth grade class introduced the bill in the yogurt legislation in the Senate this week. With all the questions and challenges to the bill, almost an hour was spent discussing yogurt as the official state snack!

Jon Stewart summed it up lovely, and I’m sure the rest of the nation feels the same way when Senate Republicans in Washington waste the nation’s time and money on things like…. Benghazi! Stewart said, “the good people of a New York do not give a f*ck!”
In the end the bill passed 52-8 and moves on to the State’s assembly.

My take is…a fourth grade class was learning a lesson in civics, and did this as a project.
THEN the ADULTS…..ha ha…..got into it and turned a simple gesture into a sideshow, just like ALL politicians do. The politics being what it is….Dems and Repubs stArted doing their little dance, and the most simple thing turned into a three act play!!! Hoped the kids learned something…..
